Inspired by DS obsession with Steve Backshall.

He would be off round the world "too busy to do childcare darling", would come home reeking of bar poo, and would insist on taking the children to play with venomous snakes "it won't hurt them if they don't bother it".

Why bother with the fake question? Just be honest and say, "Let's all tear to pieces people that aren't here to defend themselves. That'll be fun!". I despair of this site sometimes! The nastiness that's apparent in just the first page of this "discussion" is disgusting....

Oh Christ, take the stick out.

Serrina · 31/05/2025 20:13

Probably been mentioned already but David Icke

Oooooft · 06/06/2025 09:57

I can't believe people are saying David Tennant! I love him, he seems like a good guy

BestBeforeddmmyy · 19/07/2025 16:28

Most celebrities would annoy me. If they think they are celebrities, that would be the end of it for me.

He dared to be pro-trans though. Poor bastard.

It was more that he was anti-women, really.

This. He's a horrible, smug misogynist who says awful things about women who have different opinions to himself and believes this is an OK way to behave because his opinions are the correct, progressive ones.

Jeezo, I've honestly never seen any of this stuff reported in the press? What's he said that shows he hates women?

He's made all kids of comments on social media to the effect that anyone who doesn't believe that trans people are exactly who they say they are and doesn't agree that trans women should be welcome in all women's spaces and sports is a horrible bigot.

He, of course, being a privileged man, has no skin in the game.

Funny because every person I know that met him found him absolutely amazing. I can take a guess why someone on Mumsnet finds him insufferable though.

I've met him if that helps. He's a horrible person.

However, I think mumsnet dislike him mainly because he told the world that he'd prefer a black woman to shut up, since she HAD to exist at all. (And he'd rather she didnt.) And he repeatedly blames his bad behaviour on his wife.

Ah ok. Gotcha.

Im not on the right thread for me, I think.

His wife is a bigger pain in the arse than he is.

And isn't he very careful to make sure everyone knows it!
Every time he makes some obnoxious speech about LGBTQ +++ or transing children or how women who need single sex spaces are (checks notes) "whinging little fuckers on the wrong side of history" or how black women who hold opinions need to "shut up" he lets everyone knows she's the one behind it.

I wonder why.

He didn't tell 'a black woman' to shut up. He told the Leader of the Conservative Party, who happens to be a black woman, to shut up.

Not great manners to be telling anyone to shut up. But as far as I'm concerned, there are only three things that can be said in favour of Kemi Badenoch: (1) She isn't Robert Jenrick; (2) She isn't Nigel Farage; (3) She would NOT expect others to be especially polite or gentle with her just because she's a black woman, or attribute all harsh criticism or even rudeness to racism or sexism.

Well. Since he went on to say that women who need single sex spaces are "whinging little fuckers on the wrong side of history" and that he was glad they'd all be dead soon. I'm going with plain misogyny and a total disregard for women's rights and vulnerabilities. No consideration for WHY women need these spaces. Rape crisis or DV shelters. Prisons!

He's a "pick me" for the TRA crowd and a throughly despicable human being. And so are you if you try to defend him.

Tennant has also been incredibly silent about Neil Gaiman, despite being very willing yo voice his opinions on JK Rowling. Instead of telling John Barrowman to put his willy away on the set of Doctor Who, he decided to ding a funny song about it, because men slapping their dicks onto women's shoulders when they are trying to work is hilarious!

This is why I dislike Pedro Pascal. It’s completely fine to support Trans people but to do it at the same time as telling a women to shut up and in a really aggressive way, makes me feel he’s one of those men who claim they are the most feminist man until a woman asserts themselves and then they become ‘traditional’ real quick.

I think the nice guy thing is an act. Bet there are some really interesting ‘on set behaviour’ stories waiting to come out.

Agree. He's been a dick for years. He just wasn't as open about it as he is now.

Agree. He's been a dick for years. He just wasn't as open about it as he is now.

I was first alerted to his dick-adjacent tendencies when he appeared on a chat show (might have been Graham Norton) around 15 years ago, telling the story of how he and JB used to have a farting competition inside the Tardis to see who could let off the most pungent, disgusting farts.

He said Freema Agyeman, who was present (lucky girl!), was revolted but they thought it was all very blokesy and hilarious, so carried on regardless. I might even have misremembered and it was Freema herself who told this story.

Anyway, that was the first time I recall feeling a bit discomfited by him.
