Doesn’t she have any famous friends? Where has all her money gone? Does she have to live in L.A? It just all seems bizarre, just move somewhere cheaper.

Exactly and the amount of people not believing this is insane. If it was anyone else they would all be in her side

People DO believe it.

I am quite prepared to believe he had an affair.

I just don’t care.

He might have been the Whore of Babylon as the marriage disintegrated. If THAT is what it takes for any abused spouse to leave a horrific, toxic relationship, then okay. If they needed the support of their affair partner to help them leave, I don’t care.

If he had left her to join a Franciscan Order, she would STILL have behaved the way she has these last 5 years. That is because of who SHE is and what SHE has done, not because of who he is and what he has done.

I think you’ll find the majority here actually believe he did start with his wife before leaving. And still fully support him as it was how he broke free from an abusive relationship…

Some behaviour is worse than cheating in a relationship. Mental and physical abuse I’d put in that list.

It's being suggested that $100k is a low income for San Diego and TBH the LA area is more expensive. That amount is going to be hard to live on for a lot of people.

Then that’s why she needs to get a job to support her children alongside the support from their father.

BrightBrickSnail · 15/05/2025 10:42

KimberleyClark · 15/05/2025 10:39

If Ioan had been expecting her to support him while he stayed at home, and pay for a nanny, he would have been called a cocklodger on here.

Exactly, we would have seen ‘LTB’ all over the shop. But for some reason, people can’t seem to see through Alice, even though she was very open about abusing him and their set up where she had an easy life on his money.

Exactly. Whether he left for another woman is neither here nor there when his wife has been abusive towards him (and by extension, their children). Alice doesn’t get a get out jail free card for spousal abuse just because he might have probably left for another woman.

She won't work. She gets about $5k a month from him but it's "not enough".

They had a house, but she dragged proceedings on for 4 years to the point they had to sell to pay legal fees.

Someone has set up a bloody GoFundMe!

She can’t work. She put her career on hold to support her husband’s career and now she’s aged out of job roles. $10k a month isn’t enough to support herself and two children in LA.

She shouldn’t have had to fight for a financial settlement. He should have offered her a generous settlement based on her contribution to his career, his family and in circumstances wherein he cheated on her publicly. What he did was awful.

Weonlyhavealoanofit · 15/05/2025 10:45

Unfortunately Alice comes across as a pretty awful person, a nightmare of a wife, deeply resentful of her husband's career, but at the same time demanding $$$ to satisfy her insatiable need to be front and centre of everything. She has used her daughters without any regard for their emotional welfare, to manipulate events and to deprive them of their father's love. Those children are paying a heavy price for her selfishness. Marriages fail all the time, imagine living with a personality which can only be described as self obsessed, lazy and narcissistic? Alice puts an awful lot of effort into portraying her victimhood, she seems completely indifferent to her impact on others.

Why does the work have to be acting work?

Munnygirl · 15/05/2025 10:46

BrightBrickSnail · 15/05/2025 10:36

I’m a supporter of SAHMs but she was a SAHM with a nanny! So she was essentially a lady of leisure and his income wasn’t that secure as he has had some good roles but not consistently. So should he just hand over more money to her because she’s been too lazy to work? She had a nanny for the kids who only left recently apparently, so she doesn’t really have an excuse…

And? You don’t support her because he had a nanny?

Why did she put her career on hold? They had a full time nanny so it wasn’t to raise the children. Why couldn’t she have done some work or gotten a day job? Why did she put her career on hold at all when the children were being cared for all day by a nanny?

She CAN get a job. She can get any job to tide her over, he kids are teens and she has zero excuses.

Also, how come you have said his alleged cheating is awful but her documented years of abuse is another?

She never had a career! She went into their marriage with less than £100 of her own assets! She should have been a jobbing actress and had a side gig but she never bothered. She worked when the kids were little, she was in TVD! But she didn’t get roles and is now skewing it as putting her career on hold! She then also claims a mysterious undiagnosed illness is why she had the nanny and couldn’t work, which has mysteriously disappeared now she has to actually get off her arse. She just says whatever she thinks of at the time for sympathy, none of it ever matches up!

I don’t support her because she abused him.

But yes, the kids had a full time nanny so she had no need to be a SAHM, she could have worked if she’d wanted to.

How would we all feel about a father calling their preteen daughter fucking tedious’ and a ‘bitch’ because she asked for them not to drink on her birthday? Which is clearly rooted in that individual having alcohol issues.

Could those of you defending her accept that from a man?

Edited

But them panic messaging their father whilst he's trapped on a plane about to work so he can support them, backed up with proof in a court document and not just hersay, that their mother has left the door unlocked so her drug dealer can drop off his deliveries... Absolutely fine? Like a video of her offering said 2 young daughters cocaine also submitted as court evidence? All absolutely fine right?

What a pity acting is the only job going in LA.
What a pity she can’t, you know, get a job in a DIFFERENT industry to help support herself and her adolescent kids, like far less privileged women the world over have to do every day.

He probably doesn’t even have $10k a month to give her. He is a jobbing actor and has burned through so much money already due to the litigation and disputes arising from her behaviour.

You can feel sorry for her and feel she’s a Wronged Woman. Cool. But you are in a tiny minority.

Cakeandusername · 15/05/2025 10:52

Of course she can work. She was hardly an A list actress before. It probably was case she was sahm when they were small for stability while he worked (plus they had ft nanny) Children grow, careers change. It doesn’t mean you can expect never to work again.
Lots of 80/90s actresses fall into this camp. They seem to make a living influencing on instagram, small business like Pilates instructor or real estate, some do odd Hallmark movie or podcasts. Odd guest role in a movie as the mum - lots of teen movies or rehashes of series to have one of the original cast.

He did at the beginning of the split whilst trying the collaborative divorce process. She refused it.
He has also massively OVERPAID support to her and she has squandered it.
Read the court documents.

Let’s just correct that. She can work, just maybe not in the area she wants to.

If everyone in the world didn’t work because they weren’t handed their ideal job the world would be a bloody disaster. It’s just not realistic.

and if you think 10k isn’t enough to live on then you move to somewhere that it is enough to live on. It’s called living within your means.
circumstances change we have to change with them.

Ioan is paying her 4.5k a month. If she got herself a normal run of the mill job that wasn’t acting she would be able to live just fine. It’s the fact that she’s being snobby and picky and refusing to do anything that isn’t a god awful convention.

and if you had read the court documents you would know that he DID offer her a generous settlement but she was more set on getting revenge which actually has left her in the dirt whilst ioan has moved on.

No, while they were still married. The facts do not remotely fit the narrative you are trying to push.

I don't know whether he had an affair, but there is abundant evidence that he was being abused by her whilst they were married. Unfortunately, divorcing has not stopped the abuse, leading to the courts putting a restraining order in place against her. She has repeatedly violated the restraining order, even doing so in court in front of the judge. And we know she lies, claiming to be destitute when she had $85k in her bank account, for example.
