Doesn’t she have any famous friends? Where has all her money gone? Does she have to live in L.A? It just all seems bizarre, just move somewhere cheaper.

I had a snout at her Go Fund Me - she’s raised nearly $9000 of her $25k target. Not bad really.

Should keep her in supplies for at least 3 days.

The fact is, none of us have walked in her shoes. I remember being in an awful relationship and being branded the ‘crazy one’ at the end. Does that mean she’s not problematic? Nope. But we truly don’t know. But a go fund me to live a lavish life is ridiculous. And yes, social media posts aren’t helping. Big life can be terribly cruel and brutal to women and a lot of what they’ve gone through is unseen and unheard and unfelt by everyone around them.

There are literally court documents outlining her behaviour. 5000 incidences.

What I don’t get is why the children still live with her …. She doesn’t appear to be the most stable influence and if she can’t house them

Unless he didn’t want them full time

She seems to think he is an A list actor worth billions but really he’s been a few movies and only two I can think of without googling

That custody battle went on for years until he stepped away after her mental carry on. She kept barging in on him and the kids therapy sessions and apparently feigned a heart attack on the floor in front of them all and called herself an ambulance! Not to mention she coerced the eldest into filing a frivolous restraining order against him. Which thankfully the Judge saw through. I think he did the right thing not to subject the girls to more of that trauma. I hope they’ll come back to him in time. It’s desperately sad.

It's weird how fiercely women on here defend him. And how quick they are to believe him. It just shows the amazing power of being a handsome (to some) Hollywood B lister.

It’s much weirder how fiercely some women believe that women can never be abusers or that men can ever be victims of abuse by women.

‘You haven’t walked in my shoes!’ isn’t a get out clause for wildly unhinged and abusive behavior. A tragic backstory doesn’t negate someone’s responsibility for their actions and nor does being under the influence.

She’s branded ‘the crazy one’ because she is the crazy one. She didn’t change upon the divorce, she has been like this for decades.

Sometimes there is no great misogynist conspiracy.

Ok. Sorry, I don’t have the energy for this level of rage and I’m not being an asshole saying that because you’re entitled to it and to feel anger I was just trying to have some compassion for her. I guess my point is we always expect people who are struggling to act like they’re not struggling. And we don’t know the full story.

She sounds like she had a personality disorder and/or a breakdown, & severe mental health issues.

What rage?

We know enough, courtesy of copious documented evidence submitted to the court, to call a twat a twat. Yes, generally we expect people to not abuse others, regardless of how much they may be struggling. Having compassion for her does not mean justifying or excusing how she chooses to behave.

Husband divorces wife.

Husband stops paying enough money for his offspring to continue life as normal.

Wife complains in undignified fashion. Man gets Turkey teeth, a younger model and (doubtless) replacement kids.

Women of mumsnet vilify the ex-wife.

Wife abuses husband for years.

Husband has given her 800k since split according to the financial records filed.

Has he had his teeth done?

His wife may be younger but she certainly seems more emotionally mature, kinder & more stable than Alice!

Best of luck to them I say!

I saw him give an interview once where he said that the deal between them was that she gave up her acting career to advance his. So her being a SAHM was as much for his benefit as the children's. Many women - let alone those living in Hollywood - have nannys. No matter how awful people may think she is he does owe her some kind of compensation for that sacrifice, just as would any ordinary non-star person.

Edited

Could you link the interview where he said this?
As Alice claimed the opposite on Instagram. And she did still work after having the children - she just wasn’t in demand as much as he was.

Why doesn't she move back to the UK and live cheaply near family?

She’s estranged from her family. She posts about it on socials when drunk. We got the whole sorry story.

Again, how do you know this?

A: you don’t have a clue about his financial status then or now

Anyone who’s been following this saga knows this. All the legal documents financial and otherwise are public l.

She can’t work. She put her career on hold to support her husband’s career and now she’s aged out of job roles. $10k a month isn’t enough to support herself and two children in LA.

She shouldn’t have had to fight for a financial settlement. He should have offered her a generous settlement based on her contribution to his career, his family and in circumstances wherein he cheated on her publicly. What he did was awful.

They had a nanny. There was absolutely no need for her to put her career on hold, but she never had much of one and chose not to work, fully financed by him.

And she told her children 'if you don't support me you can fuck off and live with the nanny I don't want you here'.

Tomatotater · 15/05/2025 16:22

I mean, this isn't just social media gossip, unless we believe the judges in the US family court hand out domestic violence restraining orders willy nilly with no evidence and throw out applications by children when they say their father has abused them. Its not just 'he said, she said'. There are court cases that he has won against her.

If you can’t see the rage in that you have a blind spot. And we all do. So I’m not trying to be bad here.

I remember going down a rabbit hole on this pair several years ago. He really did screw her over in the divorce, but she just won’t move on. Becoming fixated like that isn’t just unhealthy, it’s expensive. There comes a point where fighting in court costs more than you can possibly ever gain.

plenty of actresses in her career position get by through a combination of modest living, social media presence, occasional jobs, and convention appearances.

I’m a convention attendee and have seen how much people can make in just a few days, most of it very hard to trace from a tax perspective. I find it quite fascinating that they put on a persona of themselves, a sort of character version of their real self, and work the line.

In what way did he screw her over? I'm genuinely curious, as i thought he has been bankrolling her ever since.

Goalie55 · 15/05/2025 16:46

I’ve sat through that Dalmatian’s movie many times and I can tell you she’s no much of an actress. She was never going to be a big movie star. Most of the work available to her would be guest spots, she was never going to have a massive career.

I bet he never even made that much money. DH went to school with an actress who had done lots of British and American tv, couple of movies. She’s not that wealthy. By the time you pay agents/taxes a lot of is gone.

KimberleyClark · 15/05/2025 16:48

Or mobile game adverts. Seen plenty of lesser known actors doing those.

I met him once. Around 25 ish years ago. He was very twinkly and flirty and very good looking.

He asked a friend of mine out at about that time. She said no, or presumably na, as they are both Welsh speakers.

There is over 5000 pages of evidence to support him. Evidence that has been verified in a court of law. It has absolutely nothing to do with his looks or Hollywood status, and everything to do with simply bothering to check the evidence.

TaggieO · 15/05/2025 17:09

BananaSpanner · 15/05/2025 12:57

These threads are always weird. I’ve never known such a bang average man have such an army of women obsessed with hating his ex wife.

You can just go and read the evidence for yourself - it’s all in the public domain. Personally I find people like you, defending an abuser in the face of copious amounts of verified evidence weirder.
