Doesn’t she have any famous friends? Where has all her money gone? Does she have to live in L.A? It just all seems bizarre, just move somewhere cheaper.

She’s also massively damaged his earning capacity - he’s not a megastar. For each part he has had (except possibly for the brief period where he had lead roles in movies in the early 2000s), he will have been considered alongside multiple other actors of similar age / background.

Recently, he’s not been working. I doubt he’s been turning work down - the people doing the casting have been choosing an actor at a similar level where there is no risk of the TV show / film being trashed all over social media by a deranged ex wife.

And who can blame them. I wouldn’t watch a show where the lead was an abuser and that’s what Alice has been portraying him as (classic DARVO).

Yes plus potentially needing time off for court/lawyers meetings/counselling.
The type of shows he does are series where they bang episodes out, you can’t have the lead man not there it’s too big a risk for investors.

I'm sure that's one of the main reasons why she's doing all this stuff.
Bitter and resentful and determined to make his life an ongoing hell.

But so short sighted, because if he doesn’t earn then he can’t pay maintenance.

5th Officer Harold Lowe.

I can imagine it is stressful life living off going to Vampire Diary conventions. Neither of them can afford the Hollywood life style.

He was Horatio Hornblower for all the series and then in the series Liar with Joanna Froggatt, and Fantastic Four movies. He must have some money I would think?

It all got spent on legal fees, and on keeping 2 households running when he moved out.

I think she has mental health issues.
I wouldn't be surprised if you made an attempt to take her own life going ahead.
I hope she gets the right support to avoid this and focus less about the divorce and more on her positive future with her daughters.

But not from the girls perspective I would imagine. While it may have been in practice, for them their Mum and Dad had just split up. In answer to your question, one year. How difficult would it really have been for him to have a flat by himself and on the few occasion he had his daughters with him, not have his new relationship there? Not difficult at all. One year in the grand scheme of life would have made little difference to him, considering he could live with his new partners most of the time anyway, and everything to his daughters. That is part of being a parent - putting your needs aside, not forever you have to have your own life, but certainly he could have for a short period of time. I cannot tell you how much I would have loved to have been horrible considering what I was put through. But I didnt. Just because one partner is an arse doesnt mean you have to be. I am proud of how I handled myself and my daughter will see that when she is older.

Well since Bianca was paying the rent and all his money was going to pay for the home Alice and the children were living in (all verified in court documents) fairly hard. Or are you suggesting Bianca should have been paying for two properties?

Of course he could have forced an immediate sale of the matrimonial home, but I’m fairly sure he would then be criticised for ‘throwing his children out of their home’ in exactly the way Alice is doing now.

What kind of 50 year old? One who is happy. Or can only those under 50 celebrate ?

You're just very ageist and judgemental.

Yeah and she blew it all by wanting a full time nanny for when she wasn’t working, designer clothes and keeping up with the jones’. He was never A list and knew this, she chose to pretend he was and has blown the cash.

He’s not even pretending to be some big actor. He’s very honest about the small apartment he has, the roles he takes and being happy in his wee world. It’s perfectly reasonable to live middle income life in LA. Her ex chooses this. She chooses not to. And now is on the streets. With nowhere for her children to go as her abuse has destroyed their relationship with their dad, that he’s too scared to have them without a chaperone.

Great mothering.

WatchAnXFilesWithNoLightsOn · 15/05/2025 12:24

The things she has done are just outrageous

She threatened to have her cousins ‘cut him’, said her therapists advised her that he must be gay, publicly mocked ‘soon to be wheel chair bound’ Bianca, told her kids that they couldn’t afford private school anymore because ‘Daddy has to pay for his new girlfriends movie’, she lied over and over about reasons that he couldn’t have them for scheduled contact (and was found out), when he suggested ‘phone free time’ she screamed at the girls that he wanted their phones to investigate them and told them to call the police….the list goes on. She also harassed his mother and other family members

The witness statement of the clinical psychologist who witnessed the visit where Bianca supposedly abused one of the girls (she disputes it but Alice made her daughter file it with police) was shocking. The girls have clearly been abused and manipulated and are severely damaged.

i just feel so sorry for the children. Anyone defending her has clearly not read the documents.

Did he cheat? Probably. Was he abused in the marriage? Almost certainly.

The oldest daughter had already stopped seeing him before his relationship was revealed. Alice’s parental alienation was working very well before Bianca came on the scene.

Because if this was a man behaving the way Alice is there would be public outrage and they would provably be in jail for their behaviour.

Why wouldn’t Alice be held accountable for her poor behaviour.

It is not always the woman who is the wrong party and this is a big reminder of that.

Alice preys on women who have been wronged by men and because they’re so caught up in the rage for their own situation they just blindly believe Alice’s mad ranting and can’t possibly imagine that actually she’s the rotten on and not him.

Legal papers and actual evidence doesn’t lie.

Thanks for the information. I have only ever watched him in Hornblower and didn't know anything about his personal life until now. I was just responding to the poster who said he can't afford the LA lifestyle. I was just wondering why.

Uricon2 · 15/05/2025 12:29

I wish those unquestioningly believing AE would look at some of the copious evidence about her behaviour including, crucially, that from court.

IG was a decent actor and I can well believe that his career has been severely impacted by the events of the last few years, which have been entirely driven by her. However, the real losers are their daughters. The alienation from their father and her frankly outrageous actions will potentially impact the rest of their lives.

IWillJustSayThis · 15/05/2025 12:29

3luckystars · 15/05/2025 11:57

None of really know anything about it. I hope she gets help.

But we do because she is very vocal on social media and the court papers provide a wealth of detail / facts.

ThisCyanPoet · 15/05/2025 12:29

She needs to see some real consequences for her breaches of the restraining order and I think she needs a ban on being able to hold any social media accounts. She’ll no doubt claim she needs them for work, but she clearly doesn’t use SM for much of that. She should have one that focusses purely on convention advertising and is managed by her agent, with her not even being allowed to know the password.

I keep imagining her in a mental health facility sitting in group therapy (like Goldie Hawn in Death Becomes Her). She only want to talk about Ioan and Bianca and all the other patients will be screaming because they can’t take it anymore.

Nobody is tracking her down to her quiet country cottage where she lives a peaceful social media free life.

She has chosen to go public with her abuse of her ex husband. If she’s stunned and hurt that people aren’t buying it and are discussing her lies (that she put out there), too bad.

I am not sure why you are being so aggressive. Its just my opinion. I think he should have found a way to have quality time with his children prior to moving in with his new relationship, if that meant additional costs for a short period of time, then yes. My ExH moved out of our town, and as my daughter refused to be alone in the car with him, I sent 18 months travelling a 3 hour round trip once a week for my daughter to spend exactly one hour with him, sitting in a cafe round the corner while they did various activities because they couldnt go home as the new partner was in the house! Did I want to do that? No. Could I afford to do that? Not really. Having seen the devastating effect on my own daughter due to this exact situation, and that is with me not being mentally ill and difficult, I would recommend to any parent that they move heaven and earth to not allow children to pay for a situation that the adults made. My child and my ExHs new partner get on all right now, and I think that is, in large part, because of me.

Yeah I can’t say I knew much about him before this. My father loved Hornblower when I was young so really knew who he was for that. It’s a real shame that his divorce has drawn more attention to him than his acting career. The trauma of her behaviour will impact him, his daughters and Bianca for years to come.

I agree with quite a bit of this. But you’re missing a rather large chunk of what’s been the devastating affect on the children: their mothers sustained behaviour for almost four years.
