Have I just been thrown out of GP Practice?

Long story short. Transferred ( no choice) to new GP Practice when my previous Practice closed. I had been very happy there.
The new Practice was very disappointing in several ways which led me to make several written complaints about GPs, Nurses, etc. The Practice did respond in writing to these complaints.

However, my latest complaint led to me now being advised that the Practice can arrange for me to move to a different Practice. This move would not otherwise be possible due to local GP pressures.

Is this the same as being kicked out? Should I agree to move elsewhere ? Worried it might be worse!
Do you think I am being unreasonable...complaining / expecting too much?
😕

What were you doing written complaints about? I can’t say I’ve ever done one for my GP surgery.

Maddy70 · 13/05/2025 16:34

Yes they've done it in a nice way so you can move somewhere you'd be happier and stop moaning

It sounds like you'll be happier elsewhere.

Sounds like you’d all be happier if you were elsewhere, op!

InMyOpenOnion · 13/05/2025 16:35

Yes, they are fed up with your complaints and suggesting you move to a different surgery seems like the obvious solution for both them and you. But as PP have said, it very much depends on the nature of your complaints.

Snorlaxo · 13/05/2025 16:36

If it’s so bad that it warrants multiple written complaints then I’d expect you to be really happy that they’d help you get registered elsewhere

Redpeach · 13/05/2025 16:36

Several written complaints? All unrelated?

outdooryone · 13/05/2025 16:37

I would be more than happy to move on from a public service which I was so unhappy about that, after a recent move to them, I had complained on more than one occasion.

ViciousCurrentBun · 13/05/2025 16:38

So what were the complaints?

GeorgeMichaelsCat · 13/05/2025 16:40

Why not move? If you taken the time and effort to write and complain several times, surely you'd be happier elsewhere.

Madmay25 · 13/05/2025 16:42

Wow, thanks for so many quick responses. First time posting here.

It seems I am being unreasonable. Just cannot stop complaining..it's like a compulsion.
I will move on now..and try not to complain.

Sounds like moving you would be the best option for both sides.

Scully01 · 13/05/2025 16:46

This has reminded me of the Alan Bennett play " A Lady of Letters". I'd recommend it.

legsekeven · 13/05/2025 16:47

If you do think that complaining is a compulsion maybe try writing but not sending them.

You have a compulsion to complain? Hmm
So you actively look for things to whine about? Look forward to being sacked from the next practice as well, unless you sort your shit out.
Grow up.

Do you think the complaints with hindsight were justified or not?

A compulsion? So you're complaining for no reason? You sound like a nightmare.

NamelessNancy · 13/05/2025 16:49

Services like GPs really require mutual trust to work so I'm not surprised they are suggesting you move on. It sounds like the patient-practice relationship has been damaged.

Maybe ask the GP for some help with your complaining compulsion?

Greybeardy · 13/05/2025 16:50

very much sounds like the professional relationship between you and the Practice is broken down. I'd accept their invitation - it will be better for both parties.

AreolaGrande · 13/05/2025 16:51

You sound vexatious and impossible to please.

I'd be moving you on as well citing breakdown of the surgery/patient relationship as the reason.

LivingLaVidaBabyShower · 13/05/2025 16:52

I can understand once but multiple times?

What are you actually complaining about? Can you give examples?

Also if I was bothered enough to complain in writing twice id have just moved GPs...

StarlightLady · 13/05/2025 16:53

For whatever reason things are not working for you. Under the circumstances l would jump at a chance to start afresh elsewhere.

Compulsion?

Just with the practice or with everything/

hopeishere · 13/05/2025 16:55

What have you complained about?

TidyDancer · 13/05/2025 16:55

What kind of things are you complaining about?

Sometimes even multiple compulsive complaints can have a legitimate basis. It does sound as though you need to move on regardless and it is bordering on vexatious.

I’ve known (professionally) of patients who have got themselves banned from all local practices because of certain behaviour so it does sound like you might need some reflection and help with this.
