Why can’t Harry just pay for his own private security?

jennylamb1 · 03/05/2025 14:36

Don’t get it. He says that he can’t ever visit the UK again because his security won’t be provided. Loads of celebrities and high profile business people pay for their own security, why should tax payers pay for his security when he isn’t a working royal anymore?

And if you don’t want the expense or the headache then don’t train a monkey to dance & make a celebrity out of a child.

this is the royal family YOU want from birth in your country and encourage and support and a media that has build an industry off them.

Harry’s identity was sold the moment he was born - cashing in his privacy now or attempting to be privare - it makes no difference - he’ll never be private. You threw him to the circus the minute he was born.

the inhumanity of British society and coldness after what he went through with his Mother and now the controversy over his wife & exiling them via security.

The security thing is clearly a nonsense. Private security is used by practically every celebrity in the world as they jet in and out of Britain. Many of which have known stalkers . Harry has holidayed abroad with his family before without state protection. He doesnt have state protection the in the US where he lives where every loon can add an al47 to their shopping trolley with their bread.

Private security is expensive and will be more so as his kids get older and go off doing their own thing . If he was be granted IPP status he would receive that free in what every country he was in, not just the UK. He is still a relatively young man and while wealthy 3 ish million a year x 40 will sting almost anyone particularly when he’s exhausted the big money spinners source of income.

Are Private individuals allowed to hire the police in your country? Talk about corruption if they are!

No but we don’t have a monarchy that we make dance like monkies on balconies and present their babies on the steps of a hospital in the cold, the day they’re born so that baby can become a child celebrity.

We don’t have a huge media industry that runs off this family we encourhse and their controversy.

Harry has been famous since birth, no chance at privacy, sacrifices to be royal and a mother turned into a mega star by a hungry media and public. He walked behind her coffin and endured that storm and now he can’t even safely visit her grave.

It’s obscene that you churn royal babies into mega stars snd don’t give them security. Royal families are expensive and it doesn’t surprise me you have this problem if a royal family that needs protection and a public who doesn’t want to pay it.

You can’t set all these conditions on someone’s right to security snd safety. If you parade babies and children around as Royal celebrities and force them into a life of duty then you need to have a fall back plan for if they choose freedom.

Yeh exactly - most of those people are private jet famous through making money. Harry is famous by birth and YOU people - that’s a huge amount of pressure he’s been put under to fund security.

Lavenderfarmcottage · 04/05/2025 16:48

There would be very few people with Harry & Meghan’s fame that don’t have far more funds than they had when they left the UK

I wouldn’t take any notice of that posters uninformed opinion, you should see the thread they started on ‘English’ people, though it may have been pulled by now.

👍 thanks

BigWillyLittleTodger · 04/05/2025 16:53

I don’t think I’m the one pedalling nonsense, I suggest you read your own posts back. Sounds as though you are not from this country seeing as you claim “your system makes Princes millionaires “ so I don’t think your posts hold any merit as you clearly have no understanding at all of our legal system or our constitution. Your posts are not worthy of my or anyone else’s time engaging with as they are completely ill informed.

IAmATorturedPoet · 04/05/2025 16:54

So the jist of all that @Lavenderfarmcottage is you think this is all everyone else's fault, our society is inhumane, our court system is corrupt, our armed police should be available to hire on a whim and you reference monkeys, the pope, sacrificial lambs and Aldi and yet you say others are 'pedalling utter nonsense' 😵‍💫. Righto.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 04/05/2025 16:55

I think I hear a bugle………

BigWillyLittleTodger · 04/05/2025 16:57

Harry has had the door firmly shut in his face now, glad to hear the government have clarified they will leave it to RAVEC.

Wes Streeting was asked by Trevor Phillips what he expected Yvette Cooper to do in response to the letter expected from Harry, WS was quite firm that it was an independent process and the government would leave it to Ravec.

jeffgoldblum · 04/05/2025 17:02

@Lavenderfarmcottage, hello I’m still waiting for you to answer my question?

I would like to establish if you are from the U.K. but have been let down by our education system?
or cloistered away somewhere that meant you didn’t pick up on U.K. news , politics or history.

or worse from another country but feel fully comfortable lecturing an entire country about facts you don’t know about ( and have got wrong) ?

You CAN get DNA from rootless hair. So it's you that needs to learn something love.

  • Nuclear DNA:
  • The majority of DNA used for identification, paternity testing, and forensic analysis is nuclear DNA, which is located in the cell's nucleus.
  • Hair Roots:
  • The root of a hair follicle is where the nuclear DNA is primarily found.
  • Hair Shafts:
  • Hair shafts, the part of the hair that extends from the scalp, do not typically contain a high concentration of nuclear DNA.
  • Mitochondrial DNA:
  • While rootless hair shafts do contain some DNA, it is primarily mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), which is inherited maternally.
  • Forensic Analysis:
  • Forensic labs often use rootless hair for mtDNA analysis, as it can help link a hair sample to a particular maternal lineage.
  • Challenges with Rootless Hair:
  • The DNA in rootless hair shafts can be degraded or present in insufficient quantities for standard forensic techniques like CODIS analysis.
  • Advanced Methods:
  • New technologies and techniques are emerging that allow for the extraction and analysis of nuclear DNA from rootless hair, even with degraded samples.
  • Rooted Hair:
  • Hairs with intact roots offer a higher chance of successful DNA profiling compared to rootless hairs.

Quite clearly not. They are unaware of how the monarchy works. How Parliament works. How the courts work….

CleaningSilverCandlesticks · 04/05/2025 17:14

I went to a talk by a forensic pathologist. Apparently they can pick up our DNA in every room we simply pass through these days.

But for Harry, testing would likely have been on a blood sample given it would have been over thirty years ago. Parents are able to give consent on behalf of children.

Feel so angry about this - such a loss of faith in humanity and people’s judgment. Also the naivity of people - it’s clear this decision is rigged and designed to control. The masses are so naive about ‘democracy’ - this reeks of in-house manoeuvres and a royal dictatorship casting out one of their own to protect their power and reputation.

Asking for 28 days notice is not unreasonable, how would you like it if your employer said right lavender you know you were going on holiday today sorry Prince Harry is arriving at Heathrow at 5 am tomorrow morning, you need to meet him. No idea where he is going, no idea how long he will be here, your on 12 hour shifts so John will relieve you at 17:00 and we expect you back on duty at 5 am the following day!

I do wonder where the nirvana is that that PP lives in. Interesting that there are no child celebrities there.

I still see MM here. ‘Babies paraded out in the cold’. Yes, we make the. RF dangle the naked baby in a little sling and walk him down the mall. Or maybe I imagined you just get a 2 minute glimpse of a bundled up shape that might not even be a bloody baby!

Harry does not need 24/7/365 close protection officers on standby for him (environmentally savvy him) for when he fancies a flit to the What do they do the rest of the time?

PS - he has been offered a place to stay in royal accommodation, he prefers luxury hotels and he turned down the invitation.

The taliban wouldn’t even know who he was if he didn’t blab about his (hugely over exaggerated) tours in Afghanistan. Ask the troops he was there with. In the compound. Constantly.

this poster is either Harry or MM….hilarious

Bloody hell, I wish it were that easy! can possibly, but certainly not consistently and reliably. I work in policing.

Right they have a selection of one person over at Scotland Yard.

are you from the U.K. or not?

Tell me, Jeff, does Sherlock Holmes still operate from Baker Street? Perhaps he could do security.

I think that's an obvious solution to Harry's security issue. He could utilise the Baker Street Irregulars and look out for Moriarty.
