Disgusted by school’s response to complaint about pervy teacher - Final Update

SophEll · 02/05/2025 13:08

Well, well, well. I’ve had a very lengthy and interesting phone call from the Headteacher (HT) handling my complaint.

I now consider the matter resolved, I’m sure you are wondering what was said and I’ve done my best to summarise below:

-My initial complaint WAS wrongly dismissed without investigation - as the comments made related to a school interaction.

-The HT has offered me an unreserved apology on behalf of the school for the handling of my initial complaint which I have gratefully accepted, as long as it’s also offered in writing (which I’m assured it will be).

-I’m told the Chair was most unimpressed to learn of my experience when complaining and an urgent review of their complaints procedure has been ordered. The HT tells me that they’ll ensure appropriate oversight is put in place moving forward and was extremely grateful for me bringing this to their attention.

-As previously noted, they cannot share the outcome of the investigation into my concerns about the interaction I had, which is perfectly understandable. Yes, I know he’ll get a slap on the wrist at best and should be suitably embarrassed, but that should be sufficient to prevent someone else going through what I did.

The term ‘tail between legs’ comes to mind for certain posters on here - I await your apologies with bated breath!

Thanks for those who’ve offered constructive suggestions on how to proceed, this outcome is a victory for anyone who has ever had a complaint wrongly dismissed.

I’ve also thanked my DH, whilst initially sceptical his support in emailing the Chair made all the difference. I have the utmost respect for how the Chair and HT handled this so promptly.

I feel as though I can now put the whole sorry saga behind me and move forward (I’ll probably give that bar a miss in the future mind you!)

I’ve told DH to put the champagne on ice!

In hindsight, maybe I should have taken him up on his kind offer.

I’d have ate him alive!

This is definitely trolling, or the start of pissed ramblings. Be careful what you say, we might have to report you to your employer! For someone who thought she had been through a traumatic ordeal and thinking someone telling her they wanted to bend her over a desk was sexually graphic and rapey, I highly doubt you would eat him alive. Infect I feel sorry for your downtrodden husband. I'm sure he'll enjoy a bit of PornHub when you pass out later though.

ExtraOnions · 02/05/2025 18:08

So they are jealous of your “appalling sexual harrassment” .. they want to be objectified and harrassed, as it caused you so much distress ?? What an odd thing to say.

(btw your comment seems to have been deleted before I could finish replying .. for those who missed it the OP was accusing people of being jealous of the behaviour of the teacher)

BTW, great response from the school, all they have said is that they dismissed your complaint too early, not that they dismissed it wrongly. They would still (and will) dismiss it .. I doubt they will even mention it to him.

Teanbiscuits33 · 02/05/2025 18:08

So now you’re claiming it’s some sort of flex getting propositioned by someone you previously tried to claim was a danger to both women and children, a perv and a creep because the thread isn’t going your way? For one thing, most women don’t view that sort of thing as a victory so you can keep your new found smugness over that.

Any man with any sense chatting you up would soon back off when they realise what a nutcase you are 🤣 he was pissed, remember? Men would shag anything when they’ve had a skinful so don’t flatter yourself 🤣

Secondly, telling other women to get over themselves? Christ alive woman, you are seriously not normal

fattytoadboy · 02/05/2025 18:08

I don’t know what’s worse. Someone who genuinely behaves like this or someone who’s made the whole saga up. What’s more tragic? I can’t decide!

Ilovetowander · 02/05/2025 18:08

Definitely troll given latest comments or a loon!

“There’s no way some of the old bags on here would be propositioned on a night out” writes @op

Wait - hang on a second - you sound as though you were flattered by his attention. You actually took it as a compliment that you were ‘propositioned on a night out’, didn’t you?

I'm going to throw a spanner into the works of the head teacher suggestions for the film. I vote for Ruth Jones.

Half of mumsnet right now 😂

Meanwhile, I’m sipping champers enjoying my victory.

I'm regretting allowing this to get to 3 threads before realising what an insane and disturbing troll you are

(Although there were a lot of misconceptions I felt needed addressing before)

I sincerely hope no male teachers now get incorrectly hounded by parents because they decided they must be the person made up here

Justmovehousethen · 02/05/2025 18:13

This is the thread that just keeps on giving.

Absolutely mental.

Never have I ever wanted a) confirmation this is true b) the identity of the @SophEll more in my entire life.

Of course you’re self employed, @SophEll

You’d have difficulty with normal social interaction. I suspect that managing relationships with colleagues would be challenging for you.

The only crying anyone is doing is through laughter at you and your hollow victory 😂

Because, let’s face it, we all know the school did fuck all and just told you they had to get rid of you. Your victory is meaningless but if it makes you feel better then you continue to kid yourself that you have had a productive day. 🙄

fattytoadboy · 02/05/2025 18:27

I think there are a few possibilities here.

  1. none of this ever happened.
  2. it did happen but op didn’t escalate the complaint to the levels she claimed and she’s just having a bit of fun winding us all up.
  3. it did all happen, in which case her own comments and attitude have outed her. It’s obvious that it’s all a big game to her and if this thread really has gone as far and wide as pp suggested she will have lost all credibility with the school and probably anyone else who can identify her.

In any of these scenarios the teachers career is no longer going to be any jeopardy. If she ever did go back to this school all they’d need to do is repeat her own silly words back to her and tell her to stop wasting their time. I just hope someone is keeping a log of all the batshittery she’s posting before she sobers up and has the threads removed.

The sad thing is that the teacher was clearly wrong to make the comment but I would say the op’s attitude, smugness, vindictiveness and pathetic vendetta is much worse than an offhand comment by a pissed up man.

And it was the type of maximum disrespect proposition that your common garden chancer reserves for the munters (ie those they think will be desperate/grateful enough to take them up on) 😂

No OP. You're a keyboard warrior who was too timid to say anything at the time and who has since been trying to make up for that feeling of inadequacy.

Or a troll.
