Not at all. Maybe send them out to buy you a magazine and box of chocs?

TheWiltedRose · 18/05/2008 10:12

I would love to do that but alas I cant.

foofi · 18/05/2008 10:14

Sorry - it was only a joke, not meant to make you feel worse!

Seriously, it wouldn't hurt them to watch a bit of television while you have a rest nearby! [smiles]

TheWiltedRose · 18/05/2008 10:15

#just been trying so hard to stay positive but im fed up and lonely

OP posts:
cupsoftea · 18/05/2008 10:16

tv is the answer plus some snacks for them.

I'm home alone with my kids as dh is away & I could do with a fairy godmother arriving & just saying cupsoftea go & rest whilst I sort everything out......

foofi · 18/05/2008 10:17

Try not to feel lonely - there's a lot of other MNers in the same boat so keep posting. If you're tired you're bound to feel fed up. Make sure you're looking after yourself, not just the kids, ie make sure you eat properly!

TheWiltedRose · 18/05/2008 10:18

Its not the same, im on here day and night and im lucky if one person notices me im fed up of only having people to talk to online when what i need is a friend.

cupsoftea · 18/05/2008 10:20

wrose sending you a big hug xxx

is there one job you could do that would make you feel better (& leave the rest) I'm trying to pluck up courage to tackle sorting a weeks washing. It's been getting more & more and now has to be done but I just don't want to do it but if I don't the kids will have nothing for tomorrow.

VictorianSqualor · 18/05/2008 10:41

TWR, I used to do this all the time when I felt shit, just leave the kids to their own devices, as long as they are fed and watered (and they aren't playing with knives/irons/medicines) they'll be fine.

mybrainaches · 18/05/2008 10:42

I did today for half hour, exet one of the kids tok my mobile phone, now I cant find it anywhere, grrrrrrrrrr

cupsoftea · 18/05/2008 10:51

yikes brainaches - is it on & can you call it from another phone?

mybrainaches · 18/05/2008 10:57

Dont have another phone, BT is incoming calls only.

cupsoftea · 18/05/2008 10:59

hope you strike lucky with the phone. I've had this but the battery has gone & found my mobile a week later in a drawer!

NappiesGalore · 18/05/2008 11:02

oh. is this not the norm then?

duchesse · 18/05/2008 11:18

Oh gosh how well I remember that feeling of being trapped, and I wasn't on my own... Your children will be absolutely fine without mummy attention/ parked in front of telly today.

I am more worried about you- is this feeling usual for you?

TheWiltedRose · 18/05/2008 11:28

Everyday im just fed up of it all i can see my life streching out in front of me like this and i dread it, no partner, no friends, no money, no studying or job. Nothing
