To be really worried about Reform?

1000 replies

FiveHorse · 29/04/2025 13:09

Just that really. They’re predicted to gain the most from the upcoming elections, if this carries on could we see a reform government at the next general elections? Or is it press scaremongering as usual?

Do you have x-ray eyes that can see what is happening inside the hotel?

Edited

Their mates came out and ran them inside but sure, maybe they were going in to call and let the police know they’re there.

they jump off the boats and run up the beach to the hotel and their friends let them into their rooms

Is what you originally said. Now you are saying their friends meet them on the beach. OK.

Did you call the police? They’ll be sitting ducks as you know exactly where they are and they can’t escape from a hotel room
really.

Are you sure they weren't fishing, met some friends and went for a bite to eat?

Surprised they didn't go to the benefit office first............

when we saw them they ran up the beach to the hotel (which is at the top of the pebble beach with a small quiet road that they cross). They are welcomed by the hotel’s current residents and ushered into the hotel. I am making an assumption they let them in their room rather than lining them up along the corridors. I’m told by mil this happens often. The fact they are going inside the hotel that is fully occupied by immigrants, I am making the assumption they haven’t pre booked.

As I’ve said, I’m pro immigration but that’s the thing I was saying earlier, we can’t have honest conversations without anger and allegations/implications people are racist. Immigrants coming in on boats are a big issue. It has a huge impact on the local area, is very unsafe for the travellers and the people making huge amounts of money from vulnerable people are criminals. That doesn’t mean we can’t show compassion, but we need to be honest about that impact. I live in the West Country and it’s easy to turn a blind eye. Pil vote reform and that frustrates me because I disagree with the politics and know it’s purely rooted in this single issue. But I acknowledge that single issue is happening on their doorstep.

Yeah, in fact maybe it was a stag do, they look so similar.

What are those issues?

Paying for everything for a start .

PandoraSocks · 29/04/2025 19:23

Is the hotel purely used to house immigrants now @TeenLifeMum ?

The working class don't want to pay for anything?

How is Reform planning to tackle this?

By committing to zero net immigration- which is what the other parties need to do if they want a chance of being elected.

How are we going to fill vacancies in the NHS for example?

That’s what happens when you have uncontrolled borders, and an established class that gaslights you and calls you names rather than taking your concerns seriously.

‘Basket of deplorables’ syndrome.

How’d that work out for Hilary?

Train the millions not in work rather than giving them benefits for free?

Novel idea, I know.

Great idea. In 4 years, Reform are going to stop letting in people to work and spend billions training people in jobs they probably have no interest in.

While they're training, who fills the vacancies?

Yes great idea, they will all suddenly be able to become doctors, nurses, radiotherapists, histopathologists, AHPs, carers etc. 🙄

But we took back control of our borders with Brexit. Are you saying Farage lied about that?

Are you looking forward to far fewer protections for workers? The NHS being replaced by an insurance based model?

Yes I am.

Nunaluna · 29/04/2025 19:49

I’m worried too, and I’m really not a ‘shaking and terrified of nuclear war’ type.

It feels like anything could happen and voting habits aren’t as stable or predictable as they once were.

I see a LOT of support for Reform locally and online, and not from bots. Farage is greeted like a hero on his walkabouts.

I dread to think what would happen if they got in, even as a minority government

TeenLifeMum · 29/04/2025 19:49

RatalieTatalie · 29/04/2025 19:37

The likelihood of them being fishermen is just as likely as them being blokes on a stag do. Response to the comment about them being fishermen rather than immigrants.

DuncinToffee · 29/04/2025 19:50

TeenLifeMum · 29/04/2025 19:48

Yes.

Unaccompanied children. Can't find any mention beyond 2021

Nunaluna · 29/04/2025 19:51

BUT I will add, this is what happens when the government shies away from dealing with population rise/immigration, benefits, the gender ideology madness and spends 60% of council tax on social care leaving our towns and cities to go to rack and ruin.
