To dare to think that the Cult of Dog has gone too far?

There is now not a single public space in my home town that is dog-free - and that includes cafes, restaurants and even the library. Local beaches, once a quiet escape, have turned into asylums for the fur baby/pupper brigade to inflict their poorly trained animals on others with children getting chased, people jumped on and tripped over and all to the sound of hysterical barking and frequent dog fights.
80 year old woman knocked over by uncontrollable dog? 'You got in his way'.
Ask politely that you take your dog away from our lunch table? 'Go fuck yourself'.
Sit on the most remote bench you can find? Peri-menopausal wild eyed harridan lets loose 3 dogs from her 4x4 to jump all over you and laughs that it's 'their spot' and turns unhinged when you push them away.
Yes, this is a rant and yes I hate most dog owners.
This weird cult that values darling dogs over human beings is actually pretty worrying.
I shall await the inevitable and hilarious 'incoming' from the emotionally stunted Doggo Nutters.

Urgh no dogs should be allowed in a library besides service dogs. Just no. Absolutely no reason for them to be there

No doubt some owners think that their pooch is capable of browsing the science section and flicking through the periodicals.

Dog owner here. I agree. Driving on a road opposite a school @ 20mph because of school, a pedestrian with earphones in and dog on stretchy lead allows said dog to dive into road (to chase running child other side of road I imagine. Luckily as I was doing 20mph didn't hit said dog, pulled alongside bloke and told him to get off his phone, watch his dog and what the dog was doing, and to keep it under control. He told me to F off.
Don't know what else I can do.

Most people are rude, ignorant and only care about themselves.

Again, you are surrounding yourself with these people. The people I know, are kind, decent, don’t inconvenience others and go above and beyond to help others. As well as being fun and great company.

Um, I mean I don’t “surround myself” with the people by choice in the supermarket, shops, market, bus, gp surgery, car showrooms, the tip, stately homes, the garden centre, bank etc, people are just there being annoying as per my earlier comment. I don’t know where you live but clearly there is no one else there who you haven’t hand selected. Aren’t you lucky!

All these people saying their pets are nicer than most humans 🤣 like how do you know?? They can’t talk! If they could talk you might find they’re actually real bastards who don’t really like you at all- it’s all just cupboard love

How very dare you 😂

I live on a new build estate and we have designated poo bins. It didn't stop people filling up the normal bin next to the playground tho. A few of us complained because it was hardly ever emptied and overflowing with dog poo bags all the time so the council took it away. My husbands uncle has a dog and they take it EVERYWHERE. They say he can't be left alone at all at home yet when we dog sat for them for a weekend we left him and he was totally fine. They have been known to turn up to family events with him without asking and there were small children who'd never been around a dog and were frightened. They even turned up to my 1YO birthday party with him. Without asking 🙄I have a dog and like dogs but I don't want a dog turning up if other people don't like dog especially if they haven't asked first.

I’d rather be with a dog than some of the miserable apologies for human beings posting on this thread.

You don’t have to be with anyone from this thread.

Time to be happy!
