DH will no longer do joint posts on Instagram

As per the title - Easter Sunday is off to a dreadful start with ‘D’ H and I already having had an argument.

Some background, we have individual insta’s but for any major ‘announcements/events’ as such we will use the collaboration feature so the post appears on both our grids. Think engagement, wedding, pregnancy-gender reveal/birth, anniversary etc.

It’s our DD’s first Easter so I’ve got her a brilliant outfit, some props and of course eggs. I’ve also got a personalised sort of sign which says it’s her first Easter.

I said to H I’ll get the photos done after breakfast and we can joint post. He says it’s stupid to do this and doesn’t warrant all the effort as it’s ’only Easter’ so he won’t be putting it on his grid.

AIBU to feel pissed off with him? It will look strange if it’s only on my page.

There was a birthday one, op made two threads about it- one wasn’t clearly enough and then Mother’s Day one.

The vapidness of this is everything wrong with society nowadays. I looked at some ‘reels’ on Facebook the other day for the first time and wanted to rip my eyeballs out. The absolute vapid, stupid, self-obsessed shite people are putting out there is baffling. It’s madness that they take hours to film themselves doing or saying really stupid shit then thinking ‘yeah that’s great, I’m posting it’. These people are utterly deluded. Mentally ill a lot of them. Society is doomed!

No one cares it’s your DD first Easter, Easter is completely insignificant to the vast majority of people. Take a few minutes with a cup of tea to contemplate what’s actually important.

I’m with your dh unless you’re an influencer who makes a lot of money from it. Social media isn’t real maybe make a card with the outfit next year and send it to those who matter. Because clearly your dh hasn’t found it easier. Why do likes, comments and shares matter really it’s about the people/memories.
