Should the police be arresting people carrying placards that encourage the hanging, burning or mutilating of Terfs ie women ??

I thought that there were limits to what we could advocate... and that people carrying anti-semite placards (for example) in the Pro Palestine marches were arrested?

Surely there must be some protection from the incitement of violence that is happening on these trans rights marches?

It's shocking that hatred against women isn't a crime but hatred against a man pretending to be a woman is a crime.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Police aren’t trained to confront crazy people such as - trans and Hamas supporters. So they just let them have their temper tantrum hate speech protests
shameful

I was hoping that things had progressed since those marches you refer to, and some of the awful placards, chanting and threats. I know that there were serious concerns. You'd think lessons were learned.

Worth reposting.

Slothtoes · 20/04/2025 08:17

this is domestic terrorism surely?

SnakesAndArrows · 20/04/2025 08:17

Surely it’s still a public order offence? IANAL though.

Slothtoes · 20/04/2025 08:19

BTW posters who were against misogyny being identified as a hate crime by the Law commission, do any of you feel any differently now the Supreme court has clarified meaning of sex?

Panterusblackish · 20/04/2025 08:26

And now we have to put up with male celebrities proudly flaunting their misogyny. Like Jake Shears, wearing it like a badge of honour that he doesn't give a shiny shit about women. All he cares about is that men get to oppress us and steal our identities. We're not real people after all are we? We're just sub men missing a penis. Subhuman, in the way that people of colour used to considered less than.

I genuinely think a lot of people like him hold multiple hateful views but they know to hide their racism etc.

It's time misogyny was made a crime.

Slothtoes · 20/04/2025 08:34

It's time misogyny was made a crime.

I agree.

2021x · 20/04/2025 08:40

I think the BBC should have run the story.

The thing is, I don't 'hate' most of the TW I come across. It's just these nasty, deeply malicious, misogynistic TAs waving hate speech banners. Can't they see that they are doing a fundamental disservice to their Trans community by making everyone think all TW are TAs? They are the ones creating mistrust and fear in others.

TW talk of being scared and frightened, of what, I wonder? I can't help thinking it's BECAUSE of violent, vociferous TAs intimidating women, and women, rightfully resenting the whole community because of the nefarious actions of these people.

Of course women are now going to be distrustful and resentful of TW; we don't know if you are just trying to go about your life as a bloke in a dress, or you are going to be generally violent to women, carrying placards calling for hanging or burning, intimidation tactics, hate speech.

EasternStandard · 20/04/2025 08:44

Yes good question yanbu

andtheworldrollson · 20/04/2025 08:48

It might not be crime as mysogenists - isn’t it a crime as terrorism?

has anyone made a formal complaint?

lifeturnsonadime · 20/04/2025 08:53

Of course it should be treated as a hate crime.

It's awful, but not surprising that it isn't.

As for the BBC, colour me shocked they've been right up there with all of the other organisations who supported the men over this issue.

ImConfusedDotComHelp · 20/04/2025 08:55

I'm really baffled at how people supporting trans people think this type of violence or promotion of violence towards women will help.

Anybody will a placard with promotion of violence should be arrested.

Where are the police?

This is really changing my view on trans people.

They really are harming their own cause. They are actually showing why women are rightly scared of these people. Some of them are terrifying

Silvertulips · 19/04/2025 23:24

You would think so but it's misogyny innit and women count for nothing it seems

So why do so many men what to be one?

Oh they can do it better obviously.

Absolutely agree

Lex345 · 20/04/2025 09:01

Remember the far right protests when the thing that finally stopped them was massive counter protests?

Which would be a great option, if women were not genuinely fearful for their safety by doing so. And they know this.

Withoutfearorfavour · 20/04/2025 09:01

I don’t agree with much that Trump says but the public services have been absolutely brainwashed to believe these people are untouchable.
We have one going through HR at the moment where I work who has abused his position of Power as a man so he’s naturally decided to transition into a woman.

He’s wearing a bit of mascara and a pink scarf so, obviously he couldn’t have inappropriately formed a relationship with a student. And the thing is, it will probably work.

Fimofriend · 20/04/2025 09:01

I have just sent a complaint to the national television channel in a Scandinavian country because they "forgot" to include photos of the posters threatening women in their coverage of the demonstration. It is deeply manipulative to paint it as a peaceful demonstration. At least one reporter got assaulted.

I will encourage you all to complain to every single newspaper, which " forgets" to include the nasty parts of the trans activism.

MoreChocPls · 20/04/2025 09:01

The police are controlled by the home office who won’t allow it so direct the hate to the home office.

So agree with you too.

These TAs are deeply, deeply stupid but deeply, deeply nasty too.

These people don't want equality, they want domination.
