Another day, another chance for mumsnet to bitch about the trans community 🥱

another day another chance for the trans community to give mumsnet a chance to talk about them

EdithStourton · 19/04/2025 20:22

What a pathetic bunch of wankers.

As a PP said, the misogyny is real. At least some of them hate us because they want to be us and know they can't be.

And yet again for all the wrong reasons! You’d think they’d have educated themselves about how women, on the whole, behave by now….

The signs made by these people definitely deserve bitching about.

My thanks to Lily for posting the photos. They really want to harm women, don’t they.

Using destruction and aggression to prove they are not a threat to women…

....... by defacing the statue of a feminist icon 😡

Here's some of the placards at the 'powerful, supportive, positive' protest today -

https://x.com/LilyLilyMaynard/status/1913595795602817257

I'm just surprised they didn't dust off the 'decapitate terfs' placard for a bit of nostalgia.

I like the one where the person in the mask holds a sign saying ‘transphobes’ are the cowards.

How many of the FWS women were wearing masks as they celebrated in public? None. That’s right.

nomas · 19/04/2025 20:29

Diverze · 19/04/2025 18:02

People are allowed to protest.

Anyone hurt? Was anyone behaving violently? Anyone arrested?

Quite a few parents of trans adults I know attended and they describe it as powerful, supportive and positive and said they didn't see any trouble.

And X is not the most reliable and non biased of sources is it, any more than pink news?

Also, would "fag rights" be written by a trans person?

Edited

Of course defacing the statue of a woman hurts people. It’s meant to intimidate women.

OctopusFriend · 19/04/2025 20:29

Has anyone got a copy of the placard in Manchester, saying "I will piss where I want"? Someone told me about it, but I haven't seen it.

Let. Them. Speak. (shout, screech, stamp their feet)

spannasaurus · 19/04/2025 20:31

I've seen footage of trans activists screaming fag at gay men on numerous occasions here and in the USA.

WilfredsPies · 19/04/2025 20:32

Tomatotater · 19/04/2025 18:48

Trans people have allowed these violent activists hijack their cause and abuse women constantly and violently for the past 10 years. As a result, they have lost all the goodwill women afforded them. Why did they allow them to do that all these years, and yesterday? 20,000 people against just 7 idiots?

Edited

To be fair, you can’t blame your average trans person for ‘letting’ lunatics do lunatic things. How are they supposed to stop them? Anyone who does try gets abused the same way Gender Critical women do. Look at Miranda Yardley? Fionne Orlander? Rose of Dawn, Blaire White? Any criticism of the TRA movement whatsoever is met with shouts of ‘truscum’ and accusations of not really being properly trans and betraying their community. Blaming them for letting TRAs be violent lunatics is akin to blaming women for ‘letting’ men claim to be women.

And some of those urine donors need better hydration. That fella is never going to get the smell of the splashes out of his boots or his frock.

Shetlands · 19/04/2025 20:33

So no placards saying:

Trans rights matter! We demand our own sports categories / toilets / prison wings / refuges...

tommyhoundmum · 19/04/2025 20:34

CherieBabySpliffUp · 19/04/2025 17:29

On X people are saying that some protesters have threatened to urinate in the streets to show their discontent! Hmm

plenty of men do this already

spannasaurus · 19/04/2025 20:34

Julia Long has been assaulted by TRAs

Charlize43 · 19/04/2025 20:35

I've always hated that ugly statue. I remember walking past on a Sunday morning and seeing an Indian-looking man selling tea towels to a group of tourists. Oh the irony...

I don't know who designed it but it's awful.

The Mary Wollstonecraft statue is even worse!

Sometimes I wonder if these statues aren't piss takes.

Redorangehaze · 19/04/2025 20:35

Diverze · 19/04/2025 18:41

Yes, a few idiots obviously attended. I think there are 6 or 7 unpleasant signs in the Lily Maynard thread.
An estimated 20k people in London today, show me around 20k signs advocating violence, or accept that the majority were peaceful protestors.

Sorry but I have seen NO signs like this at any GC marches or public gatherings. None. And none on marches for other causes I support. But it’s quite the feature of TRA protests. The organizers should have been clear such placards were not acceptable and demanded they be removed. They didn’t though, did they? Why is all that?

We’ve been in this movement a decade. We have all experienced the threats and intimidation, from your side, including the attempts to stop us from being able to provide for our families and ourselves by getting us sacked. . You can’t gaslight us that yours is a peaceful movement. And I suggest you stop gaslighting yourself too.

Protesting biological reality is genuinely ludicrous. Carrying signs threatening women with violence is disgusting, and just further proves why the majority of women don't want these men near their spaces. Funny enough I don't recall ever seeing any placards wishing harm on trans people at any womens rallys? Fine when it's against women though ain't it.

This doesn’t surprise me at all. The whole movement strikes me as very homophobic. Lots of ‘transing the gay away’ going on.

Karasis · 19/04/2025 20:39

@Diverze you do understand that something being legal does not compel everyone to approve of it?

Yes, a trans activist could quite likely use the word 'Fag', as it's being reclaimed, in thevsame way that Queer was.

I don't think it was a clever piece of propaganda by a feminist, I doubt that many people on that protest knew who Millicent Fawcett was, to them it was a statue of a woman, so of course up for grabs.

ColourThief · 19/04/2025 19:33

Another day, another chance for mumsnet to bitch about the trans community 🥱

😂 you WISH

We - biological women - asked the Supreme Court nicely to have our rights protected. The trans community are only relevant because for some pesky reason many of them don’t want girls and women to have safety, dignity or sex-based rights. The TRAs are only ones kicking off as far as I can see.

jodolun · 19/04/2025 20:41

It's getting nasty, I had a look at their sub reddits and their are now many posts saying that the whole like of "sex and gender is different" which was their line in the first place was a mistake and that they need to reclaim the terms female and biological for themselves. They are also claiming that by transitioning they do in fact change sex and become female women and that anyone who says otherwise is just a bigot who doesn't get the real nature of biology.

Why I have to wonder do they so desperately need access to women's spaces? Most women would support a separate third space for transwomen. Why does it always hinge on access to spaces where real women go and anything else is literal violence and making them not exist?

I fear that these males will not give up trying to access women's spaces ever.

Let's just flip that, shall we?

"Moderate muslims have allowed violent activists to hijack their cause and plan and carry out terrorist attacks frequently and violently for the past 10 years. As a result, they have lost all the goodwill ordinary white British people afforded them. Why did they allow them to do that all these years, and yesterday?"

It is not appropriate to blame moderate members of a group for the actions of extremists members of the group, nor to hold them responsible for those extremists.

Edited

Yeah but moderate Muslims, to use your phrase, openly condemn Islamist terrorists and publicly say they are not Muslims.

Whereas Trans Allies like you are happy to stand next to those holding signs calling for violence and death to women, and minimize these signs rather than condemn them, just like you are doing now.

Thats quite the difference
