Are you kidding? Read the thread!

You need to go to Specsavers.
Although you are likely to invent what is says on the eye chart.

Is your report button broken?

As for the rest - cool. Although I don’t know how you’re protecting these when you’re giving up the language to articulate the issues in a coherent manner.

WaryCrow · 20/04/2025 15:58

Don’t hold back men, show us who you are.

As if billions of women around the world haven’t found out. Not to mention the millions more who would be living right now if not for men, through individual murders by men, selective female infanticide by men, or war by men. Flowers

I like the use of language such as “pregnant people” and “people who menstruate” etc. It includes trans men. Doesn’t bother me. I save my energy for actual issues like tackling actual VAWG (not imaginary public toilet attacks) , gender based violence, economic inequality, gender pay gap, childcare provision, etc.

How can you tackle VAWG if you can't define them as a group?

TW are men and need to stay out of female spaces. It's not that difficult.

Yes, we are definitely the people who should be pulled up for hate speech. Totally 🙄

Specifically, what do you do?

Can you see why that stance is aggrevating.. haha I've got what you want, and you can never have it...
Could you imagine if a man said that to a group of women, or a white person to a group of black people, or an able bodied person to a group of disabled people.
A couple of generations ago you could have a heterosexual couple saying that to a same sex couple.

And yet I still see the argument about the safe places. The nuance here is that women have historically been the disempowered group hence the creation of safe spaces and that creates a new element to this situation in my opinion.

I stated a fact, I’m not ha ha ing anyone.
Do you see how aggravating it is for women to be threatened by the placard waving group?
I think trans people should have safe spaces too and can understand some trans women would not feel safe in a men’s toilet but they should be campaigning for their own space and not spit their dummy out when they are not welcomed in women’s toilets.

Ooh fab.

So what did you do about Katie Dolotowski's victim? That little girl in the toilet attack? And the women excluded from any toilet, they're not imaginary either? Did you r energy head for the women raped on hospital wards by men identifying as women, they're definitely not imaginary either since like Dolotowski's attack that ended in a conviction. How about the ones in prisons? And if you're energetically concerned about 'gender based violence' what will you being doing about the very gendery violent threats and imagery against women on yesterday's placards?

The vitriol, hatred and name calling on here make me feel sick. People are like, “But they do it too!” This isn’t primary school.

Some people on here should be ashamed of their comments.

What vitriol, what name calling, what comments?

How is it like primary school? We are intrigued.

Yes of course. In the face of placards saying the only good terf is a dead one, and men saying suck my lady dick, women should say nothing because that's what women are supposed to do.

Doesn't that rather highlight the difference between women and TRAs who call themselves women?

We’re there any arrests?

Still waiting for the arrests.

I heard TRA Robyn Woof got arrested at a Scottish one. Not for the first time.

For people not familiar with the fragrant Robyn, he's the one who was spitting in the faces of the attendees at the (2nd i think) attempted screening of Adult Human Female at the University of Edinburgh.

@Onetimeonlyftw - I'm just going to echo pp - vitriol and hatred are against talk guidelines. We should report them. If you indicate what these posts are, I will certainly report them.

You should certainly report hate speech. These threads are well moderated.

This debate does really come down to body parts - it's the fact that men and women have different bodies that leads to women's need for sex based rights. Access to contraception, maternity rights and legislation that protects women from being dominated by men is the difference between now and the past and this country and places like Afghanistan. Many of us have seen these rights be created in our life time. We know they can't be taken for granted. You can't protect a class of people you can't describe.

Re: perverts, the question is not really whether trans women are perverts, but whether polices have allowed men to take advantage of loose or absent definitions of 'trans' and 'women'. The almost weekly stories of court cases involving sex based crimes by men who claim a (sometimes very recent) trans identity suggest that it has.

Is the TRA movement dangerous? Well somebody carried the signs at the demonstration and defaced the statue, and apparently nobody stopped them, so I think we can draw our own conclusions.

And, at whichever gathering it was, assaulted Julia Long yesterday.

Talking of hatred and vitriol.... take a look at these placards (I also posted this on the other thread)

Extremely worrying that the Met seem more concerned at finding the perps who defaced the statues ( which of course they should too ) rather than putting equal importance on the demonstrators inciting violence.

I expect to see arrests of those placard waving idiots.
Although an email to my MP has been sent anyway. We desperately need justice for all who incite violence.

CamillaMacauley · 20/04/2025 17:20

DrPrunesqualer · 20/04/2025 16:39

Still waiting for the arrests.

Police are hunting for at least 7 people and are appealing for information. It’s quite common these days at large protests to not arrest people at the time unless there’s an immediate threat due to the potential of it kicking off. Instead they use cctv and intelligence to arrest people afterwards. This is what happened at a lot of the riots last year after the Stockport stabbings.

Brefugee · 20/04/2025 17:22

but they're not looking for the holders of the vile signs, are they? they are looking for people who defaced statues.

Low. Hanging. Fruit.
