The trans community are also very worryingly over-represented as victims of violent crime and harassment.

I can see why they are protesting, even though I see the need for protecting safe spaces as I have said in several posts.

I can see the flaws in what the teams community are asking for and why the ruling was made this week. However I dislike the sneering, mocking aggressive tone to the trans community.

And yes there will be some bad eggs in the community, as in any community... It doesn't mean they are one homogeneous group.

I get very frustrated when people insist complex issues are straightforward.

It doesn't mean they are one homogeneous group.

But that is exactly the problem if you are trying to argue that 'trans women are women' - legally 'trans' covers a broad range of people, and nothing in the group 'trans women' necessarily overlaps with the group 'women'.

This was why the judges decided as they did.

I’m guessing by your comment this didn’t happen then.

Many if those placards are far more aggressive and inciting violence than any I spotted at pro Palestinian marches
So what’s going on ? !
Are the police turning a blind eye…….is that even allowed!

They always have enabled this particular group. Happy to arrest women for placing a sticker or having a feminist book in their house though.

NextRinny · 20/04/2025 13:08

I find it absolutely astounding that there are protests against the sex based rights of women and mothers are being told to be kind about it.

Absolutely astoundingly unashamed selfishness.

heartsinvisiblefury · 20/04/2025 13:20

Let them hold up their signs - not that we need them to understand just how ridiculous they are. But at least they’re now making it so easy to see the Emperor’s new clothes. Hilarious. Deluded and hilarious.

TheKeeperOfTissues · 20/04/2025 13:23

@Unpaidviewer that video has never made me more grateful for not going to town!
The very thought of running into that shite might have made me a bit TERFY

If you lie down with dogs you get fleas.
If the genuine protesters didn't want to be associated with violent, mindless, moronic thugs then they could have and should have walked away.

The only people I've seen throwing piss have been men. At gigs. It's disgusting.
I hope anyone caught urinating (wtf India?) is fined for being a dirty bastard and charged AS A MAN.

🤞

MyHeartyCoralSnail · 20/04/2025 13:30

This group is so deluded. Not only do they not believe in biology they don’t believe in the rule of law.

Typical male tactics, get increasingly aggressive when people stand up to them.

Glad to see the police are investigating the woman hating vandalism that shows exactly the respect they have for women’s rights. If they want to be women and show such a lack of respect for those actual women who fought for women to have the vote, maybe they should fight to get the vote and disenfranchise them until the succeed.

Waitwhat23 · 20/04/2025 13:35

I'm amused that there's another thread, referencing the meanies on here 'cherry picking' the signs calling for violence against women and offering 'some balance' but crucially, didn't link this thread in their OP.

I'm guessing that the optics were just a bit too shit for them.

Bit cowardly.

Notaflippinclue · 20/04/2025 13:49

Just loads of incels in masks - bloody cowards

Notaflippinclue · 20/04/2025 13:50

We’re there any arrests?

Iamnotalemming · 20/04/2025 15:22

There was a mention upthread of some leaked Labour messages about the UKSC judgment. Does anyone have anymore info about that?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/04/2025 15:23

There is a thread in FWR.

You mean like calling women cervix havers, calling pregnant women - pregnant people, removing the words woman and mother from maternity policies? Or thinking that dressing like a drag queen equals womanhood? Or carrying placards in public asking for women to be hanged?
That sort of nauseating hate speech?

I'd have thought a man yelling 'give us wombs give us titties' through a megaphone was reducing them to body parts, but what do I know I'm just a support animal.

Indeed. I am sure Onetime frequently writes to the NHS to admonish them on this matter.

Give me a freaking break.

Men are men. They can stay out of women's spaces. Scientific facts are not 'hate speech' 🙄

Onetimeonlyftw · 20/04/2025 15:41

The vitriol, hatred and name calling on here make me feel sick. People are like, “But they do it too!” This isn’t primary school.

Some people on here should be ashamed of their comments.

Understandable as the cliched response of one caught up in Festinger et al’s When Prophecy Fails, however?

I hope this indicates a moment of self reflection and much needed personal insight on your part.

Onetimeonlyftw · 20/04/2025 15:44

I’ve been reflecting on trans inclusive feminism for years, thanks.

@Onetimeonlyftw where? I’ve just read the full thread in one go and not seen any of the things you say it I full of.

I like the use of language such as “pregnant people” and “people who menstruate” etc. It includes trans men. Doesn’t bother me. I save my energy for actual issues like tackling actual VAWG (not imaginary public toilet attacks) , gender based violence, economic inequality, gender pay gap, childcare provision, etc.
