Ar least one woman was attacked is that not. violence

@Diverze your words are hollow because you can’t bring yourself to condemn these disgusting people can you? You tell us that your child isn’t like this but you won’t condemn the people who are?!

Redorangehaze · 20/04/2025 08:41

Diverze · 19/04/2025 21:39

Actually what I am trying to do is remind any posters who have not yet been completely radicalised that there are many ordinary trans people out there who are not the violent and aggressive TRAs who spew hatred at women. That most trans people mean no harm. That doesn't mean they should be allowed into women's spaces and I am not saying that. I am just trying to depolarise viewpoints a bit.

If it's making you feel guilty then that's on you, and it's presumably because it doesn't fit with your image of trans people as represented by the shouty TRAs. Maybe giving a bit of cognitive dissonance.

Mumsnet always claims that there's no transphobia here. All I can say is that some of these posts and some of these posters sail dangerously close to it.

But as you said yourself, there 20,000 people on that protest. Thats 20000 people who think women should be put at harm by not having single sex spaces. 20000 people who are protesting a ruling that gives women and lesbians freedom of association and organisation again. Stop pretending that being at that protest was a peaceful act. It wasn’t.

CleverButScatty · 20/04/2025 08:42

Diverze · 19/04/2025 18:41

Yes, a few idiots obviously attended. I think there are 6 or 7 unpleasant signs in the Lily Maynard thread.
An estimated 20k people in London today, show me around 20k signs advocating violence, or accept that the majority were peaceful protestors.

I agree.
It's such a complex issue.
I agree with the need for safe spaces for women.
I genuinely believe the number of the trans community who would abuse this would be tiny, but even that is too much and the spaces need protecting.
But those sneering at and ridiculing the trans community are no better either.

borntobequiet · 20/04/2025 08:30

  • There are no “shades of grey”, as confirmed by the highest court in the land
  • Women have not uttered death threats, assaulted or hounded anyone out of her job for her perfectly legal beliefs
  • Women have attempted to safeguard children whereas the trans movement has tried to convince them that they can be something they cannot via damaging and mutilating surgery and hormones
  • Women have engaged in rational dialogue, have fact and science on their side and been unsupported by the media and captured institutions, whereas the trans movement has threatened, bullied and lied in order to gain support from people and institutions too credulous for their own good

And you think there is equivalence?

‘And yes the TRA side has more violent imagery and threats BUT just reading this thread shows that a lot of women have become very contemptuous and no longer see the humanity in ordinary trans people’

  1. You are upset women won’t show humanity or #bekind to people calling for them to be hanged to burned to death?
  2. What is an ‘ordinary trans person’? Given the trans population is allegedly tiny, their enormous presence online would indicate far more of them are engaging in the harassment and abuse than you’re willing to acknowledge. Just because a man acts sad and vulnerable to his mum and when in public, does not guarantee he is a great empathetic human being. Any man wanting access to our spaces, equality and sports is NOT a great human being by default.

TRAs are violent extremists.
Women are not.

I thought you guys are better than that and could separate militant extremists from every day folks. Not that you have to agree with the everyday folks mind you.

I do spend a lot of time on my trans family members FB group trying to persuade these ordinary folk that feminists don't hate them or want them dead or deny their existence.

Might stop doing that and this, it's bloody futile.

‘I thought you guys are better than that and could separate militant extremists from every day folks‘

In almost every post you put the onus on women to be better, you lecture us about our behaviour, when all around you is the revolting actions of those you say are vulnerable. Your expectations of how women should behave in the face of male aggression and intimidation is the very essence of this misogynistic, insidious ideology. You’ve been captured and you don’t even know it.

Tiny? They’re more likely than even a ‘cis’ man to be a sex offender. So how tiny can that number be?

Some biological women are violent, nobody is going around demanding anyone condemns them.

It isn’t a complex issue. Men aren’t women, people can’t change sex, men aren’t allowed or wanted in women’s spaces. People like you make it complex by pandering to it. 20k people protesting about it isn’t a tiny amount is it?

No, I mean nobody is going around demanding bio women who are anti trans randomly start condemning them, as is demaned by the pp

Edit for typo

It’s not complex, as Trevor Phillips pointed out in an interview recently. It’s really easy. Facilities for (biological) men, (biological) women and third spaces for the confused.

Though I bet there will be far fewer of the “confused” now they can’t validate their “confusion” by accessing female single sex spaces without breaking the law.

I said a tiny amount would abuse safe spaces (and still pointed out that is too many).
What gas that got to do with the number of people at a protest?

BigDecisionWorthIt · 19/04/2025 22:27

Not surprised. Far Left Liberalism seems to always involve throwing a tantrums and defacing stuff when it doesn't go the desired way.

The absolute irony seeing loads of free Palestine flags there... a poor indictment of our education system.

It gets better! They were being led in chants of ‘one fight, one cause, Palestine trans rights!’
You can’t make this up! It’s like parody!

CIA women?
I don't know what you mean by that.
Have women held protest marches and rallies where they have used offensive language, held up very offensive placards including the incitement to violence against trans people?.
Please show me where that's happened.

LadyBracknellsHandbagg · 20/04/2025 08:52

CleverButScatty · 20/04/2025 08:44

Some biological women are violent, nobody is going around demanding anyone condemns them.

Nice try! 98% of violent crimes are committed by men, so excuse me for stating facts, again!

Your whole ideology is a fact free zone isn’t it?

I would wholeheartedly condemn violence from anyone, what a shame you apologists can’t do the same.

Can you link some evidence for your claim that trans men are more likely even than bio men to commit violet crime.

That third space doesn't currently exist though, hence the current debate

All those protesters could lobby for third spaces.

In fact, those “third spaces” can be conjured up out of nowhere, such as the repurposed broom cupboards offered to women working for the NHS who object to men being in their changing rooms. There is no need for debate, just sensible action.
