Ar least one woman was attacked is that not. violence

Well if so then yes of course, it isn't in any of the reports from any newspapers that I have seen. Can you share?

Julia Long has been assaulted by TRAs

Here.

LittleBigHead · 19/04/2025 22:01

Showing the world who they are. Men's Rights activists.

And I'm just saying that talking about a child and saying that the poster (that child's mum) doesn't know what they get up to etc is obviously going to upset that poster. It's making it too personal.

meh - as they say in the courtroom dramas "they opened the door to that"

I haven't seen personal attacks, although i have seen some posts have been deleted so, who knows.

As pp said there is a strong whiff of both NAMALT and "not my Nigel" on this thread. And I for one can't be doing with that constantly. I want us to be able to talk about things with constantly being told those two things. FFS we KNOW that already.

So, in summary: if you don't want people talking about your child, don't bring your child into the thread. And if someone does bring their child into the thread, know it may be discussed. But also: if someone brings their child into a thread don't make personal attacks on that child.

Two women at two different protests.

But also one minute words are violence, the next they're not, can't keep up.

was in Sheffield i think. 6 or 8 women on the steps to the town hall surrounded by a baying mob waving trans flags, and elderly men literally screaming right in their faces. It was uncomfortable to watch.

I'd like to know exactly what the NHS has been paying for, I know women with pcos and have unwanted hair get little help at all from the NHS.
And have to live with this debilitating issue.
And all the other substandard health atrocities that go on but we're all paying for this??

What’s the average wait time for diagnosis for endometriosis - something like 9 years now?

Waitwhat23 · 19/04/2025 22:06

Some more placards. The witch burning one is from Edinburgh, I think. Not sure where the noose one was taken.

Please do not equate this with me thinking you're actually saying I need children to be a woman, but let's not reduce what makes a woman down to that.

Had I any wish to be at this protest today? Yes I could go if I had wanted to. My ability to trot to London on a whim makes me no less female. My inability to have children shouldn't ever be used as a card to question me and my womanhood. I know you probably didn't mean that, but it comes across that way, and just serves as a way of making divisions within our sex.

You made the division. The point being made is that women take on the bulk of the care burden in society. It's not about being able to have children. Why would you go to an anti-woman protest btw?

Ok. I thought fags was an unpleasant term for male homosexuals.

Only in the US. But it is known here.

It's an offensive slur in the uk as well

The police are checking cctv with a view to make arrests should they find harrassment, intimidation or threats of violence
The posters alone do that

Men intimidating women…….nothing new then!

Strong #NAMALT vibes on the thread

I knew it reminded me of something.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 19/04/2025 22:11

Diverze · 19/04/2025 21:56

The protests today were not violent! That's the point. There were a few completely unacceptable signs and some stupid graffiti on statues. If you only read this thread you might be thinking there was violent rioting. Looks like there were no arrests in London anyway.

Those unacceptable signs are a permanent feature of every TRA demonstration at women's meetings no matter what the agenda is. Every single time. Women have been threatened, disciplined and sacked for speaking out - even nurses for objecting to being forced to undress in front of random men claiming to be women. Threats - intimidation. Ever heard of coercive control?
Threatening women is baked into every aspect of transactivism - it continues because those involved condone & accept the abuse of women. The whole demonstration is because transactivists refuse to accept the law of the land clarifying that women are an identified sex class that doesn't include men. Women are being told that these men won't accept the law or women's rights to safety and privacy. It's violent through and through and it's long overdue for those involved with transactivists to recognise it and tackle it.

Scentedjasmin · 19/04/2025 22:12

I feel exactly the same! Am furious at them defacing that statute! They could have had the support of many women to back a campaign for their own loos..instead they have chosen to target women and their rights. Utterly despicable. And I actually now blame the entire trans community here. Those who were not trouble causers and respectful towards women should have grouped to hold their own rallies and had tv interviews etc. Moderates almost always lack the balls (no pun intended) to put forward a reasonable solution.

Waitwhat23 · 19/04/2025 22:06

Hopefully the police will find out who these people are carrying those placards.

Seems like mens prisons are going to get a lot fuller!

FancyNewt · 19/04/2025 22:13

They are showing themselves up and doing the work for us. I watched the news earlier where they interviewed a TW who spat angrily at the reporter demanding how wrong the decision was . He came across as so aggressive and hateful.

SpringSunshineanddaffodils · 19/04/2025 22:13

I'm not against defacing statues per se. I was all for the Robert E Lee statue being defaced by BLM protesters for example, and the Bristol Slave trader being thrown in the sea.

I also did a bit of chalking of messages myself during the anti Iraq war protests

But I just cannot see one justifiable reason to do this to Millicent Fawcett. Chalk or not, the message was clear.

viques · 19/04/2025 22:14

Grammarnut · 19/04/2025 21:58

But what are they protesting about? They have lost no rights. It has just been made crystal clear that biology is the criteria for sex segregation and that the rights transpeople have assumed were never their rights, they belonged and belong to women. Transpeople have their own rights.

They don’t want their own rights. They want ours.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/04/2025 22:15

Just watched a bit of footage from Sheffield. Rent-a-mob, I'd say. Did the word go out to the SWP, Just Stop Oil, Extinction Rebellion etc?

Or just chuck anyone showing any aggression verbal, physical or visual in jail.
They are a danger to half of society

EweSurname · 19/04/2025 22:16

The ruling has clarified that single-sex spaces for women don’t include transwomen/men and transwomen are upset because
they need to use women’s bathrooms for reasons of safety/privacy/dignity and the way they want to protest this is by pissing on the street in public in broad daylight…?

The police could have arrested them at the demonstration, just as they quite rightly did to people carrying anti semitic messages at the pro Palestine marches.

Wheresthebeach · 19/04/2025 22:20

What a surprise - typical male violence and hate of women. As far as they are concerned being a woman is a costume and they want to bully and intimidate biological women everywhere
