I'd like to know exactly what the NHS has been paying for, I know women with pcos and have unwanted hair get little help at all from the NHS.
And have to live with this debilitating issue.
And all the other substandard health atrocities that go on but we're all paying for this??

FOJN · 19/04/2025 21:45

@Peony1897
Sometimes people post on a thread with the intention of provoking and creating a bun fight so that the thread gets taken down. It's often when the topic of the thread makes a certain group look bad. It's a tactic that's been used for years, ignoring usually works best.

Iamnotalemming · 19/04/2025 21:46

This is madness. I wonder how many of those out protesting today have even read the UKSC judgment. What are they even protesting about?

I hope the SC judges have some additional security.

Oh, now we are the thread police.

How many gender related threads are there on this board? How many in the past week?

This is the second gender related thread I have posted on. I am just as entitled as you are to post on any thread I choose.

Yes, you are allowed to post here. And you can tell us that your son is gentle and harms no-one. But this thread is about violent protests against women who will not bow down and say 'transwomen are women', which is why you are getting some comments which you were - I presume - not expecting.

Indeed you are. That is true.

But if you are going to post about your trans DC then you open the gate for people to point out that ALL the trans people in the world at one point or another had a mother. And the chances are that mother believed that their child was lovely and wonderful.

If you then take that personally, that's on you.
best post in abstracts and not take things personally.

aylis · 19/04/2025 21:47

Strong #NAMALT vibes on the thread

Peony1897 · 19/04/2025 21:35

I won’t be supporting them. They can battle bravely on by themselves, as we’ve had to do.

@Peony1897 I understand your point of view. I wouldn’t be campaigning either, but if there was some kind of vote on that, then I would, just to close the door on them taking over women’s spaces again.

Waitwhat23 · 19/04/2025 21:50

Peony1897 · 19/04/2025 21:26

Then perhaps those individual posters should stop going on to every gender identity related thread and bringing up the emotive topic of their sad and vulnerable child to stifle discussion and make us feel guilty?

And I'm just saying that talking about a child and saying that the poster (that child's mum) doesn't know what they get up to etc is obviously going to upset that poster. It's making it too personal.

Grammarnut · 19/04/2025 21:50

Diverze · 19/04/2025 18:02

People are allowed to protest.

Anyone hurt? Was anyone behaving violently? Anyone arrested?

Quite a few parents of trans adults I know attended and they describe it as powerful, supportive and positive and said they didn't see any trouble.

And X is not the most reliable and non biased of sources is it, any more than pink news?

Also, would "fag rights" be written by a trans person?

Edited

Indubitably. The trans ideology is homophobic as well as misogynistic.

Gettingbysomehow · 19/04/2025 21:50

Adult DS just said: Nothing says 'women' more than pissing in the street 😂
Why did they think that was a good idea?

SL2924 · 19/04/2025 21:51

Says all we need to know

Livelovebehappy · 19/04/2025 21:51

I’m actually finding it quite creepy and scarey that these people are so determined to use our spaces. Now it’s been confirmed by the Courts that they aren’t women, (like we didn’t already know), then they should now be focussing on getting their own spaces. Instead they’re doubling down on demanding to use ours. Why is it so important to them? I’m beginning to sense something very sinister here….

Brefugee · 19/04/2025 21:54

Diverze · 19/04/2025 21:42

Hey, nice try but Peony doubled down and clarified that yes, she was talking to me about my young person.

This is what she clarified:
"I said you don't know what he's like when he's not around you. You say 'gardening' like that proves he's a gentle soul who wouldn't hurt a fly. But acting sad and vulnerable in public, and partaking in knitting/gardening/baking, before logging on and spewing pure misogyny is a familiar profile. I'm sure many women on here know what I mean."

Edited

but you don't know, do you? We have your word for it that your DC is lovely and sweetness and light. And we have no reason to disbelieve you.
But the point that was being made there is that Isla Bryson's mum* probably said the same thing, and Dolotowski's mum, and the one who was shouting about the wombs & titties mum...

Nobody is accusing your DC of being one of the revolting ones. But we just don't know, do we? We never know, until it's too late, who the shitty ones are.

So as i said best not take it personally. I'm sure your DC really is lovely, community gardens are a fantastic thing.

*actually, IIRC Bryson's mum came out and said she was horrified and disowned him?

I don’t think it would. The third space would be unisex and they would say they felt ‘unsafe’. Ironically. This is about affirming them as women - nothing less than women’s spaces will do. That’s why they’re not campaigning for third spaces

And they are doing this on Easter Sunday? A day all about a man who definitely knew what women were and had many among his friends, treated equally.

The protests today were not violent! That's the point. There were a few completely unacceptable signs and some stupid graffiti on statues. If you only read this thread you might be thinking there was violent rioting. Looks like there were no arrests in London anyway.

Ar least one woman was attacked is that not. violence

Grammarnut · 19/04/2025 21:58

But what are they protesting about? They have lost no rights. It has just been made crystal clear that biology is the criteria for sex segregation and that the rights transpeople have assumed were never their rights, they belonged and belong to women. Transpeople have their own rights.

IthasYes · 19/04/2025 21:58

Diverse that's been said repeatedly, many trans people are quiet and don't demand anything and skint feel entitled to get into women's spaces either.
That almost goes without saying.

Unfortunately it's obvious that an extremely violent misogynistic wing has taken over and it's more about fetish , violence and control of women.

As pp have said it's obvious why we all need protections from these types

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/04/2025 21:59

You've already told us you weren't there. How do you know they weren't violent? There have been several protests today. Either on this thread or one of the others it's reported that Julia Long was attacked at Hastings, her banner ruined and an attempt was made to take either her phone or her companion's. She has reported it to the police who are investigating. So there's one instance.

I mentioned my adult trans child only in relation to that being why I know not every trans person is a radical or a TRA.
