Trans women ARE "other", in the sense that they are literally the opposite sex.

Nobody complains that we are othering all men by not letting them use women's spaces or compete in women's sports. Because it's obvious that men should not be in those spaces; that the very purpose of those spaces is to exclude men, and that this is perfectly fine.

But when a man calls himself a woman, based on nothing more than what he claims to feel inside his own mind, suddenly we are "othering" him if we wish to apply the same rule that we all agree is common sense when talking about men in general.

This is why I am increasingly struggling with even the terminology "trans woman". They are not any kind of women, they are men. It is not "othering" them to treat them the same way we treat all other men. Literally the only thing that is different about them is that they call themselves women, and because they have decided to call themselves women, the common sense application of basic societal rules is reframed as "othering".

The redefinition of basic words is where it all begins. It's a slippery slope from there. Trans activists change the meaning of all the words and we lose the ability to describe reality using objective, factual language.
