Well it would keep you alive but hardly healthy is it...

poopyface · 15/04/2025 21:35

Erm yes?

AnraithAgusCeapaireLeDoThoil · 15/04/2025 21:35

For how long?

Littletreefrog · 15/04/2025 21:36

Yes but it's not a healthy diet.

Titasaducksarse · 15/04/2025 21:36

Hilarious

Copiousamountsofpulses · 15/04/2025 21:36

I might die from the agony of the heartburn after.

AprilBunny · 15/04/2025 21:36

Yep, plenty of calories there.

Glokkey · 15/04/2025 21:37

wasn’t going to share my mums private business but I think I will be accused of drip feeding if I don’t.

We have moved my mum in. She has lost a lot of weight fast. I’m talking 30 pounds in 5 weeks. Her sister and dad died within weeks of each other.

She has just stopped eating but will more likely eat crap. She used to be a healthy eater but she won’t eat the soups, chillis, curries etc I make for my husband and children. Not sure why. I know if i give her a plate of hot, healthy food she won’t eat it.

I have noticed she is FAR more likely to eat a plate of more processed food. I’m leaning towards this option as I really just want to put calories in her

Pass me the lactulose!

Summerbay23 · 15/04/2025 21:37

Yes. How big are the sausage rolls and what is the age/gender of the person?

Its really pretty unhealthy if eaten every day though.

YouFetidMoppet · 15/04/2025 21:37

For how long? Is this your wedding menu? Should do about 200 guests I reckon. Just invite Jesus along and you'll be fine.

BallerinaRadio · 15/04/2025 21:37

In one day?

That every day?

Just that and then nothing for the rest of your life?

What an odd post

suah · 15/04/2025 21:37

Depends on the calorie needs of the human and the portion sizes

Tiswa · 15/04/2025 21:38

It’s better than no food if that is what she wants to eat but would try to get some supplements in her

cannedup · 15/04/2025 21:38

Yes. presumably somebody ate this and didn’t die of starvation?
im not going to add it up but I bet the amount of calories is actually high, it’s just all unhealthy so doesn’t seem like a lot of food.

Well you've over 1000 calories alone with the scotch eggs, so yes

UnbeatenMum · 15/04/2025 21:39

Big scotch eggs like the size of a tennis ball or mini ones? The big ones are 270 calories each so I would think it's at least 2000 in total if so. Quite a lot less if it's the mini ones.

Do you mean she eats this in one day? That is probably enough calories, yes. Scotch eggs x 5 would probably be enough calories on their own unless you mean the mini ones? Get her some fybogel and supplements and hopefully she won't eat like this for too long

SpringIsSpringing25 · 15/04/2025 21:40

That's loads of calories, so from that point of view, I wouldn't be worried, but I'd be worried about her from a health point of view. There's not much nutrition in that lot.

How long ago did her dad and sister die?

I presume she's single? Has she been to her GP about depression???

Samples have said I would definitely be getting some supplements in if nothing else.

mynameiscalypso · 15/04/2025 21:40

I think in the circumstances, it’s absolutely fine. I’m sorry, it must be a really hard time for you and your family.

Mini ones

She’s been on antidepressants for 6 weeks and it’s not made a jot of difference

Simplepink · 15/04/2025 21:41

She’s obviously still grieving so just as long as she’s fed that’s absolutely fine x

I would assume she was depressed and needed proper support or at least time to grieve.

but yes in the mean time I would let her eat what she wanted.
