I’ll go first

the bloody slimy painter and decorator who thought he could quote for some work then started sending me dodgy texts . I know he’s either married or with someone. What an absolute scumbag . I’ve blocked him now and will be getting someone else to do the work .

I’m also pissed off that my DH went to Morrisons and forgot to buy the dolly mixtures I’ve been craving all day even though it was the last thing I said to him before he left and I rang him while he was there.

I’m going to LTB

Definitely LTB.

Gettingbysomehow · 28/03/2025 07:43

Annoyed with myself for making such a mess. Why does my house look like it's been burgled when I live on my own?

Thames Water for putting up my (and every other poor TW customers’) bill by 46%! The thieving, disgusting, money-grabbing, useless pack of fucking cunts. I hate them

The people that thought it was a great idea to privatise the water authorities.

Maybe try your local counsellors first. Failing that, your MP 🤞

I copied my three local councillors in all the emails with the insurance department following their initial denial of the claim. Not one of them has had the courtesy of contacting me. One lives on the next road from me.

Having to travel by bus today and no one offered me a seat even though I’m obviously disabled (walking sticks and a very visible tremor). I actually asked if anyone could spare their seat, silence. So I had to ask the driver to let me back off. I actually sat and cried a little in the bus stop afterwards. People’s attitudes to disabled people has really deteriorated lately with the government insinuating we are all on the scam for benefits and don’t work. It’s upset me more than it usually would this week for obvious reasons.

Shocking

Oh, I actually forgot, before I even went to Morrisons and had the non existent "service". I was taking my dogs to a forest a couple of miles from home, normally takes 10/15 minutes through tiny hamlet and village, very narrow windy roads. Got to the top of the hill ,in the hamlet. Barriers,Road Closed sign. There's half a dozen vehicles in front of us, decided to walk over and see what was going on,had assumed accident. A few people turned round and gave up, now now there's big lorries behind me and a dustcart,so going past them if I turn in the road, isn't an option, there are no "cut outs" on this particular section, just high rocks, boulders each side of the road. Bloke behind me,sort of hooray Henry type, also comes with me to the barriers,am informed a tree is being removed, will take 10 minutes,oh yeah and what about the other 30 we are sitting there. "Henry" says "I have to get to †"",there's no other way,I tell him the alternative,at this point, there are no lorries and dustcart behind,he could have turned in the road. He said he didn't have time for the detour. My beef, put a warning sign,at the BEGINNING OF THE ROAD 😡😡, not"oh, whoops, You've come this far, haha"

Running injury the very week the weather got nice again. Why couldn't I have got this in January when I was looking for any excuse not to go running?!

offmynut · 28/03/2025 08:16

Being woken up by bastard kids and mums shouting and screaming and on the school run this morning.
So i shouted back want some duck tape for your mouths.
They trotted on in a huff.

DilemmaDelilah · 28/03/2025 08:24

The diabetic follow up telephone call that I have scheduled for this morning. It could be any time between 08:30 and 12:30. It's been in the diary for 3 weeks. Surely if this is a scheduled, non urgent call they could be a little more precise with their timing? I can understand an urgent same-day call not being at a specific time but not this!

Effectively it has meant that I can't go swimming this morning because I wouldn't be able to take the call. It's a booked swimming session, not a drop in any time one. Even more annoyingly... I know that one of the things that will be discussed is that I need to do more exercise...

blobby10 · 28/03/2025 08:47

I've got a cold - first one since October 2019. its not a serious one but my nose, ears and throat feel blocked, I'm discharging disgusting coloured snot and my head aches!! . And Its bloody annoying!!

EsmeeMerlin · 28/03/2025 08:57

I work in a school mostly as a 1-1 LSA and recently dropped a day. The child is meant to be with the same person on a Friday. Yesterday at the end of the day I was told that year 0 wanted the member of staff so the child will be with someone completely new to him.

Its just annoying because I know him and I have my own autistic child so I know how much his day will now be affected.

I also found out there is a good chance I won't be with the child next year to stop one to one children becoming too dependent on adults support. I get it but I am a bit gutted.

Showerflowers · 28/03/2025 09:39

Semiramide · 27/03/2025 23:10

I agree it is awful.

Next time, instead of asking to get off the bus, ask the driver to request that someone gives up their seat for you.

Find your inner bitch 'I'm not having this!' persona and shame these selfish, inconsiderate gits.

Bus driver just shrugged his shoulders. I’ve had a better trip into work today. I miss my car lol x

I think you need to write to the counsellors personally rather than just cc-ing them. They may not realise that you are actually asking for by their help.

You could also see your MP at their monthly surgery.

I'd report him to the bus company.

Phone snatchers. Scum of the earth.

Pancakeflipper · 28/03/2025 14:51

The wanker and his child picking the daffodils from the grass system verges outside our house, chucking ones they didn't like on the floor.

"Dear Wanker, I planted the bulbs to make the verges pretty and give nature a boost, not to save you a couple of quid at Tescos. And chucking them obviously the ground when not up to your expectations... you tosser"

Yes, there's a notice saying that certain seats are reserved for the elderly, pregnant and those with disabilities. The driver can't turf people out of the seats because people may have hidden disabilities.

I didn’t mean turf them out of their seats.
Appealing to their better nature was what I had in mind, and showerflowers said she had walking sticks, so her disability was hardly invisible.

Irritating and overly-cheerful colleague giving me ‘advice’ about something that I have been doing successfully and to great acclaim every year for the past 16 years. Since she was still at school in fact.

And some daft posts on MN!

No, the people sitting down may have hidden disabilities. That's why the driver can't turf them out.

My SIL said she was going to punch me in the face because I refused to pay for her horse.
Yeah, that annoyed me.

Tight arsed sibling who lives round the corner from dm saying I'll get chocolates for Mother's Day leaving me to send flowers from 300 miles away for £50.
