I’ll go first

the bloody slimy painter and decorator who thought he could quote for some work then started sending me dodgy texts . I know he’s either married or with someone. What an absolute scumbag . I’ve blocked him now and will be getting someone else to do the work .

The impatient dickhead behind me who beeped his car horn when the filter arrow went on and I was putting my car into gear to move off. Arsehole. I should have stayed there until the lights turned green for all the other traffic to make him wait.

The letter from B*rclays business banking addressed to 'The Directors' which started 'Dear Sirs'.

Not still? A friend of mine got one of those in the 1980s and pinned it on the wall as a reminder of casual sexism. Just recently I was thinking that would never happen these days. Forty years later, nothing's changed. Unbelievable.

My local council.

I reported their silver birch overlooking my garden as being unhealthy and diseased last June.

They told me in October they would survey it.

In November it fell over and destroyed part of my fence.

I claimed on the council’s insurance and they have denied the claim - saying the tree was ‘outwardly healthy’ and they had removed some dead wood in October (they didn’t).

I’ve challenged their claims and they have doubled down and claimed the tree was healthy and had recently been maintained and providing as ‘evidence’ an inspection report which completely contradicts this.

They have again denied the claim, so now I have the hassle of taking them to court.

Maybe try your local counsellors first. Failing that, your MP 🤞

Work, lazy shits who think they can do half the work of others who all get paid the same as them! So annoying!

same goes for me, but along with the managers that continue to allow this to happen!

My train was 10 minutes late which meant I missed my connection to London. Next train gets in 2 hours later, and because of buying tickets in a slightly roundabout way, can't claim delay repay so have to buy a new ticket.

I recommend buying tickets the standard way. Chances are if you have at least two connections your journey will be half price or free. I am shocked on the rare occasions I actually have to pay to travel as most long journeys these days involve delays of two hours. Last year I paid once out of five return journeys. All the rest were refunded 100%.

Having to travel by bus today and no one offered me a seat even though I’m obviously disabled (walking sticks and a very visible tremor). I actually asked if anyone could spare their seat, silence. So I had to ask the driver to let me back off. I actually sat and cried a little in the bus stop afterwards. People’s attitudes to disabled people has really deteriorated lately with the government insinuating we are all on the scam for benefits and don’t work. It’s upset me more than it usually would this week for obvious reasons.

That is awful, I have Parkinson’s, tremor and get weak, it’s no fun i k now

MaxCrisp · 27/03/2025 23:09

Having a parcel stolen from my porch. It was expensive bedding from America that my mum had treated me to for my birthday. Normally I have cheap shit delivered and I've never had anything stolen before. Why this one?

friendlycat · 27/03/2025 23:10

My council tax bill that’s increased by 17%
My water bill that’s increased by 47%
Rachel Reeves
Donald Trump
My pension statement that’s lost money due to Donald Trump and market volatility.

GoldBeautifulHeart · 27/03/2025 22:52

That's so awful. I'm so sorry

I agree it is awful.

Next time, instead of asking to get off the bus, ask the driver to request that someone gives up their seat for you.

Find your inner bitch 'I'm not having this!' persona and shame these selfish, inconsiderate gits.

A lot this week
Dsis who I am nc with logging a complaint with the police about me quickly resolved when i advised why I did what I did and who advised me to do it opg they apologised for wasting my time I apologised for her wasting their time long story opg investigation ongoing. Very annoying as ss raised concerns with the police previously over Dsis stealing financially abusing dm who closed the case pending opg investigation which is ongoing

I am sympathetic concerned and supportive but adult dd being off sick from work with stress and anxiety ironically she has a masters in clinical psychology this is a her first job a junior role but in all honesty she struggled with her job in the local shop in her year off and while doing her masters but now lives with her boyfriend who also doesn't work due to anxiety etc I am helping them financially again I am stressed I am perimenopausal and have anxiety but still have to go to work I would never say that to them and am supportive but it's frustrating

JandamiHash · 27/03/2025 23:11

A colleague who’s leaving in a couple of weeks is doing fuck all. She is supposed to be sending me information so I can do part of my job, and now I look bad. I’m not the type to say “Oh it’s Beryl, she hasn’t sent me the information for me to do my part” because I just think it’s unprofessional. I know she doesn’t care anymore but it’s just poor form IMO

JandamiHash · 27/03/2025 23:14

Also this is a seriously unreasonable one that’s annoyed me: I apply for loads of game shows, I have a lot of general knowledge and always get questions right at home. I’ve never had a call back. I’m too basic, clearly. But I’m sick of seeing half wits on these game shows who know nothing, and crash out. I think “I should be there I know all these answers”. Watched Pointless today and there’s 2 young people and I have no idea why they’re there. They keep getting 100 points and not even trying. Why did they apply? Did they end up there by accident!

🎵 IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME 🎵

SusanSHelit · 27/03/2025 23:16

My bastarding lazy colleagues who can't empty a sodding sharps bin despite them being the ones to fill it, leaving me to close it. Only it was so overfilled I ended up getting a needle stick injury. Only the tiniest of scratches, barely felt it. But..

Now have to wait 3 months (and have multiple blood tests) to be totally in the clear for all kinds of horrible blood borne diseases like hiv and hepatitis. Also meant I got home late after my 3rd 12.5 hour night shift because I had to go to down a&e to get bloods and a hep vaccine

I may have been a little salty with said colleges this week.

The letter from B*rclays business banking addressed to 'The Directors' which started 'Dear Sirs'.

Fuck that. Make a complaint. And then remove your custom explaining why. I did the same I 1982 because of their links with Apartheid and never went back.

Nsky62 · 27/03/2025 23:18

My Parkinson’s playing up , I dared to walk too much yesterday, ended up shuffling somewhat.
Today it’s painful, mid stage, 62, fed up, luckily my review 8 years time, hopefully classed as long term, by this unkind government

BobbyBiscuits · 27/03/2025 23:19

How grim about the decorator. What an arsehole.
I'm pissed at the cuts against sick and unwell people. I'm scared about that big time.

cadburyegg · 27/03/2025 23:25

I overheard someone I work with, i’ll call him J, loudly complaining about an ex colleague of his who had 3 disabled kids and “hardly worked”. He had a part time day job in a call centre for 15 hours a week and also had an evening job in a pub! I wanted to interrupt and ask J if he had any fucking idea what having a disabled kid was like and how difficult it is to work with one but I chickened out. It’s pissed me off all week.

Sorrento2014 · 27/03/2025 23:26

Another local council one. Home city looks disgusting due to ongoing industrial action by Refuse collection teams. With slightly warmer weather it’s starting to stink, not to mention the mess made by foxes, rats, cats etc. And they’ve had the cheek to increase council tax by 7% 😡

Nannyfannybanny · 27/03/2025 23:27

Morrisons today. I stopped shopping there because of bad service many years ago. I had seen a jumper and a dress I liked. Off I went, jumper not in store. Got the dress £18, lennor £3.50, Thorntons chocolates. Cashier, used reward card, paid, got receipt,£49!!!! I said that not correct. Nothing happened. I gave the cashier the receipt, she pulled it backwards and forwards, squinting at it! I showed her, dress £18, chocolates reduced from £9 to £6.50 with loyalty card (nope) fabric conditioner 👍. She had charged me for 2 dresses. I stood there expecting her to apologise and correct the errors, nope. Told me I would have to go and queue at customer services.

People at work who do not read things properly and ask questions which have already been explicitly answered.

IrritatedEarthling · 28/03/2025 00:09

At the theatre, I went to the toilet in the interval, and other people passing my seat accidentally kicked my bag so that my jumper fell under the seat next to mine.

It happens. I've seen it happen and have picked up the kicked article and put it on the person's seat in their absence.

Except, as I was returning, the woman next to me told me off because it was "encroaching on my space".

That story reminds me of a couple of years ago I was traveling in rush hour on a crowded bus and a very elderly couple got on. She had a broken arm in a cast and he was unsteady too. Not one got up for them and there were even kids sat down! (In this particular country under 16s travel free but are expected to give up seats to paying adults is required). It disgusted me. Someone, anyone should have helped them and should have helped you too.

We went to Malta for a holiday last month, used the buses a lot. The young people there were incredibly polite. DH was put out, said he didn't need his age rubbed in by people offering him their seat 😂
I am so sorry to hear of your experience.

Thames Water for putting up my (and every other poor TW customers’) bill by 46%! The thieving, disgusting, money-grabbing, useless pack of fucking cunts. I hate them
