I’ll go first

the bloody slimy painter and decorator who thought he could quote for some work then started sending me dodgy texts . I know he’s either married or with someone. What an absolute scumbag . I’ve blocked him now and will be getting someone else to do the work .

A hospital telephone consultation, got a call an hour and a half after the given time to say its been cancelled.

Other people deciding what I'm going to do with my own private time.

My hourly paid colleagues complaining that they wanted a bigger pay increase in April whilst I’m salaried therefore I’ve had 50p in 2.5 years.

I know I’m so very unreasonable but it’s really grinding on me!

FTHC · 27/03/2025 21:52

My mum.

Parcel delivery.. 3 times this week I've come home to find parcels propped up against the front door, fully visible from the street. There are bins they could put the parcels by, or better still knock on the door! The last one they did knock, I was indoors, about 8 paces away from the front door, and they legged it so quick I couldn't see them. But they didn't know I was in, didn't wait to find out, just left the package outside.

My 'to do' list. Every time I cross something off, I think of at least two more things I need to add.

TeenLifeMum · 27/03/2025 22:03

My boss:

  1. Not putting through my expenses since January so I’ve got to wait another month before getting it in my pay
  2. having a 1-1 with me, talking about work and not once asking how I am (despite knowing I’ve had devastating news in the last 2 weeks)
  3. asking me to do a piece of work (the same one) in two different formats in case she looks at the version in excel and decides a table in word would be easier to read (fuck my life!).

i think the devastating news has meant my tolerance levels have significantly fallen.

MiniPumpkin · 27/03/2025 22:04

work related
asked one of my team to complete a task that involved looking at the notes prior.
he sent me a message asking me to bring him up to speed because he has no time to read notes.
honestly.
why do I bother?

Simbaonedaythiswillallbeyours · 27/03/2025 22:08

School run drivers. They park like utter arseholes so their little Sebastians and Jocastas only have to walk three feet. Then, bully their way back into traffic. I was nearly t-boned twice this morning.

And my neighbour across the road. Owns two houses side by side with a massive six car driveway but still insists on parking at least two of his cars on the road. Yes, I know he is entitled to. Just gives me the rage.

TheRealMcKenna · 27/03/2025 22:11

My local council.

I reported their silver birch overlooking my garden as being unhealthy and diseased last June.

They told me in October they would survey it.

In November it fell over and destroyed part of my fence.

I claimed on the council’s insurance and they have denied the claim - saying the tree was ‘outwardly healthy’ and they had removed some dead wood in October (they didn’t).

I’ve challenged their claims and they have doubled down and claimed the tree was healthy and had recently been maintained and providing as ‘evidence’ an inspection report which completely contradicts this.

They have again denied the claim, so now I have the hassle of taking them to court.

NHS payroll dept making it almost impossible to claim my pension. It's all done online with no acknowledgement of enquiries or time scales given about responses

Coming in with a bag of shopping and being unable to put it away because my hoarder partner has filled up the cupboard with flour.

Flour? A whole cupboard’s worth of flour?

Swiftie1878 · 27/03/2025 22:14

My close colleague resigning due to incompetence from seniors.
My own incapacity to stop being cross about this.

Confusedmermaid1 · 27/03/2025 22:15

Found out that a referral that was supposed to be made for me in January was never put in.. was supposed to hear in ‘about 6 weeks’ so I waited until 9 to follow it up because I know how things are with the NHS right now. It was never made and I fell through the cracks so I’m back to square one and kicking myself for not following up earlier.

Acid reflux, poor me. Blush

saltrock123 · 27/03/2025 22:20

Stuck at home with flu. Over a week now and no signs of improvement.

DenholmElliot11 · 27/03/2025 22:24

First world annoyance I know but was in Marks and Spencers food this week and almost every single item in there started with a £4. Yes, not the bread/milk/veg but most of the other stuff starting price was £4 something.

Priced me out now, sadly.

Having to travel by bus today and no one offered me a seat even though I’m obviously disabled (walking sticks and a very visible tremor). I actually asked if anyone could spare their seat, silence. So I had to ask the driver to let me back off. I actually sat and cried a little in the bus stop afterwards. People’s attitudes to disabled people has really deteriorated lately with the government insinuating we are all on the scam for benefits and don’t work. It’s upset me more than it usually would this week for obvious reasons.

This has really upset me - you poor thing, how humiliating for you. I would have given you my seat

@TheRealMcKenna

I know it's a ball ache but if you're 100% sure you're correct please continue with taking them to court.

It's only through people such as yourself that these bullying type get called out on the way they treat the public with such contempt.

Yes, I’m 100% sure I’m correct. Their own inspection report reads ‘major deadwood and states that work is needed. The two photos of the tree (with all the dead wood) from two angles shows this. The council are claiming these are ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos (they’re not) and that the tree showed no dieback.

I’m definitely fighting this one. The cost to file in court is not that high and it will be worth it to cause them the hassle of having to try to defend it.

My 17 year old daughter passed her driving test first time last Friday. She has saved money. She got her insurance and started driving my car Monday. Tuesday afternoon with her green P plates on and a sticker stating she has a black box, she took a little longer than the norm to pull out on a roundabout on a hill in a car she had never driven before, and someone beeped at her. She rage i felt was so immense I got out of the car and shouted at him...
you blind?...she's just fuckin passed. Behave!

He nearly crapped his pants.
Today she had someone give her the middle finger when she had done absolutely nothing wrong.

Some people are just the most massive tossers!

This idiotic email update where 'Sent items' doesn't exist any more, EVERYTHING is in 'ALL MAIL.' If you can find it.
I've been deleting like mad and I'm making no progress whatsoever!

TokyoSushi · 27/03/2025 22:52

I spent ages deliberating over an expensive (to me) piece of equipment for my excercise class, used it about 3 times and it was as fabulous as I thought it would be, went to get it out of my car yesterday, it’s not there! Have retraced all steps and asked in all places, no sign, ugh 😩

That's so awful. I'm so sorry
