I mean, her mum is nice looking, for sure. But Michelle is next level!

The general consensus I get from this thread is yes she is beautiful, but she has had a lot of surgery and non-surgical procedures. I don't think that's vile or unkind, it is just being honest about how she has got that beauty. I think she's stunning too, but it's a bit unfair to try and convince people it is all genes and taking care of herself, particularly for other women who are feeling insecure about their looks.

Edited

Yes, it is an unobtainable look for young women, who are comparing themselves against the surgically enhanced pics, then feeling inferior, because they don't naturally look this way. They need to be aware that this isn't genetic.

There are women who are naturally very beautiful, and MK was pretty before of course.

Arraminta · 23/03/2025 11:05

Better to be beautifully fake than naturally ugly.

Do you think so?

I often wonder if I would prefer to have an old looking face or a weird alien plasticky surgery one. I always feel I would rather grow old naturally. But then the ageing process hasn't been too unkind to me. Yet.

When I look at friends I have known since we were children and see how much older they are, the ageing process seems rather beautiful. I suppose it's because I also see the child behind the ageing mask. it is so lovely.

How unbelievably shallow.

She wasn't naturally ugly though, she was pretty, and didn't need the surgery imo @Arraminta Hopefully she won't get anything else done.

@Porcelainpig

The general consensus I get from this thread is yes she is beautiful, but she has had a lot of surgery and non-surgical procedures. I don't think that's vile or unkind, it is just being honest about how she has got that beauty.

Why is it the most noteworthy thing about her though?

Seven pages of incredibly dull and non-illuminating comments about whether a woman in the public eye has had surgery or is naturally attractive? It's not that it's vile or unkind its just highly depressing that this is the most interesting thing people can find to comment upon about Michelle Keegan.

She may or may not have had surgery and various other procedures to augment her looks and enable her to work longer and make money (and possibly feel better about herself). Hold the front page. Women in showbiz have been doing this for nearly a century. Why is it worthy of this much comment?

I don't know much about Michelle Keegan (other than that her husband is a massive bellend) and I don't have strong feelings about her or her looks, she's a pretty girl, I couldn't really care less whether her looks are totally natural. But she is a competent and successful actress who has worked her way up from fairly humble beginnings for which she deserves credit. Can we really not find anything more interesting to say about her?

llovemermaidgin · 23/03/2025 11:17

Can't see how anyone thinks she's gorgeous with an obvious worked on face. She was nice looking before all the work but now just average woman you'd see in the street with lots of make up. Nothing special.
No I'm not jealous before anyone says,😃 I hate plastic surgery and botox shite unless there is a medical reason.

EnfysPreseli · 23/03/2025 11:19

Had to stop watching Ten pound Poms because her face and look is so incongruous with the period. She just looks too artificial and modern. Not convincing at all, to the point of being annoying to watch.

Arraminta · 23/03/2025 11:20

KimberleyClark · 23/03/2025 11:15

Yes, yes I am.

RitaAndFrank · 23/03/2025 11:20

100% this. Women like MK are basically saying that their own natural beauty is not good enough and all this does is raise the bar for other women who will never look like that without the means to do so. At the same time we’re trying to teach our children that they are good enough. She will have to have some interesting conversations with her own daughter on this one day, when the daughter is old enough to notice the complete difference in her before and after photos and I wonder how she’ll play it.

Nobody is being VILE. Just stating facts. Sure Michelle has always been a cute girl. But to suggest that how she looks now (stunning) is down to good genes (as the OP did,) is both farcical, and plain and simple incorrect ... It's fillers, botox, cosmetic procedures, lots of make up, and a great stylist. It is very little to do with 'genetics.'

Edited

You know, she seems really down to earth. I bet she would say this herself; I don't think MK would want young girls to think this is genetic.

megamother · 23/03/2025 11:21

Sorry I haven’t read the comments but I have to disagree that she has incredible genes. She has a lot of money and she’s spent time and money on her figure and hair and skin etc. she’s also most definitely had Botox, fillers, teeth etc. She’s just pretty I guess!

Mylittlebobble · 23/03/2025 11:23

I'm at the age where I could be thinking about botox but it's being a role model to my daughter that stops me. No judgement towards others who make different choices. I don't want my daughter mucking about with her face so I have to walk the walk too.

megamother · 23/03/2025 11:23

Also, as an actress she seems very one dimensional. She can’t seem to be anything but a serious, straight talking, boss woman with problems. I’ve never seen her be funny, or let loose, use a different accent etc!

If MK's daughter looks like her as she grows, I hope she knows that she is enough, and doesn't feel the need to have plastic surgery like her Mum. Hopefully she'll be against it like KP's daughter. Although as she gets older even she may change her mind; hopefully not.

PuppyMonkey · 23/03/2025 11:28

I know I’m in the minority here, but I actually don’t think she looks so very different to her Corrie days tbh. People gasping “She looks nothing like she used to..” - come off it you lot. Grin

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 23/03/2025 09:50

I am so so so so glad I have never heard my husband express a negative opinion of another woman’s looks. I think my vagina would clamp shut for ever and never reopen.

He is a better man than your husband @gillefc82 for this reason. I hope your husband looks like a young Bruce Springsteen (the most attractive man in the world to me!) if he’s so confident he can make critical remarks about the way women look. I bet he fucking doesn’t, though.

Sorry, I’ve already had one back on forth on this thread with someone who took exception to my DH simply recounting his experience of his night to his wife, not doing that again.

Personally, I find the term “vagina clamping shut” more distasteful than what he said but hey horses for courses!

Oldglasses · 23/03/2025 11:28

I prefer her 'before' look - it's natural and girl-next-door pretty. She now looks like any woman who was reasonably good looking beforehand who has had vast amounts of work done!
It's sad that good looking women do this to themselves and look 'worse' - I just don't get it! Would've loved to have been good looking myself, it would've made my life so much easier, maybe if cosmetic surgery was 'normal' 30 years ago or so I would've had work done (nose job at least), but that would be to make myself look nice, not in to some clone!

Im a bit dubious about the OPs intent here. Most people know she and probably every other celeebrity has had treatments of some kind. Most women, especially women in the public eye, have had something done, be it eyebrows, nails, fake tan or surgery. Alot (not all) women would have more done if they had the money to do it.

I don't think MK is trying to con people into believing differently. The OP only had to do a quick Google search to discover that she wasn't entirely au naturale. I think she looks great and hopefully MK doesn't go too far as she gets older.

Lots of she ' looks fake ' comments....but most women I know either have fake tan, makeup, nails, hair ( coloured) , a bit of botox, padded bra, high heels, ...so where is the line drawn on fake ? ( BTW myself and my friends don't do all these things, theyre are about as low key as they come, but have some of these tweaks) .

XWKD · 23/03/2025 11:32

She looks like a generic minor celebrity.

She used to be very nice looking when she had her original face.

PuppyMonkey · 23/03/2025 11:33

This is her in Corrie. 21 Michelle Keegan returns to Coronation Street after six years away ... Corrie Michelle

She’s not changed THAT much imho.

PuppyMonkey · 23/03/2025 11:34

Oops I think I can’t post pix, oh well.

kitchentablegardentable · 23/03/2025 11:35

Oh come on now.

she has obviously never been unattractive, but she’s a fairly normal looking pretty girl who has had a lot of work done.

she does obviously look after herself physically and is very fit, toned and healthy and good for her - her body is in great shape.

But no, I don’t think she genes are anything special.

Movinghouseatlast · 23/03/2025 11:36

She was very pretty naturally so I woukd think she must have been very insecure to have had all those proceedures at such a young age. So I feel quite sorry for her in that respect.

Im not sure if many women can be so slim without severely restricting what they eat/ exercising a huge amount so I ferl sorry for her in that respect too. The pressure to stay that slim must be enormous and have a constant impact on your life.

Michelle Keegan was a soap actor and got very lucky. Shes no Judi Dench in the acting department ( as someone else said she basically plays one character with not a huge amount of depth) so again the pressure to keep a high profile and keep getting the roles must be huge. Its a dog eat dog profession. Look at how many women end up.back in Eastenders having tried to find the level.of fame Michelle Keegan has maintained for many years now. It doesn't just land in your lap.
