I mean, her mum is nice looking, for sure. But Michelle is next level!

I don’t think you have any idea about my standards. We’re strangers on a forum and you’re making an assumption based on an isolated post. I find that a massive stretch and I find it sad that you need feel the need to question the value of my marriage as a result.

@Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot

I am making a judgement based on the information you have given me, which is that your husband comments negatively on the way women look. I am very glad my husband doesn’t do that because men who do that are very small and very sad. I am glad the men around me are better than that.

Your husband may be (allegedly) utterly perfect and wonderful with not a single flaw, 🙄 but you are coming across as really smug and judgemental @Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot .

And I find it hilarious that you think all the men around you are soooooo perfect!

😂

Every man I have ever known says the odd shitty, rude, sarcy, or negative thing now and again, that gets under his woman's skin/pisses her off. And most women do the same!

You have ZERO idea what your husband (and all the other men you know who are sooooo perfect!) are like when you're not there, or what things they say to their mates/colleagues/peers, or how they speak about women. The way you are painting your husband as this oh-so-perfect, shit-don't-stink, kind of 100% perfect man who never puts a foot wrong, (and never criticises women!) is just cringeworthy! 😬

Also, as a pp said, it doesn't sound like your marriage is as perfect as you're painting it, (or your husband) with how you seem to fantasise about Bruce Springsteen, and say he is 'the most attractive man in the world' to you. You didn't say you USED to think so, you said he IS the most attractive man in the world. (To you!)

@Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot 9.52am

I am so so so so glad I have never heard my husband express a negative opinion of another woman’s looks. I think my vagina would clamp shut for ever and never reopen.

My DH is a better man than your husband @gillefc82 for this reason. I hope your husband looks like a young Bruce Springsteen (the most attractive man in the world to me!)

As a pp said, does your husband know you fantasise about another man? Not really adding up, and gelling with your claim that your man is sooooooo perfect is it really? Wink

And your vicious personal attack (at 12.55 just before my post here) on a poster who you were attacking (who has called you out,) is showing that she has hit a raw nerve!

I don’t think my husband is perfect. I mean, he isn’t 1975 Bruce, is he?

I just know that he does not make comments about the way women look and for that I am very thankful. Like I said, I feel like that’s a very very low bar though. None of the men in my life behave like that and if they did they probably wouldn’t be in my life much longer.

We should definitely expect better of men. Soz if that makes me smug.

I wouldn’t engage @BatchCookBabe. But then apparently I’m stupid and married to a dickhead, so don’t take my advice!! 🤣

She is naturally pretty. She’s not naturally beautiful. She’s had a LOT of help.

BatchCookBabe · 23/03/2025 12:42

Yep, she was pretty then and still is.

Still looks totally different.

You keep deluding yourself that she has not changed a bit though if it makes you feel better hun. Smile

We have to remember that people are comparing very young pictures of MK to her adult self. She looks what, about 17 in Coronation Street there? She is now 37ish? She has aged 20 years since then. She'll look different either way, obviously surgery has changed her further, but aging has too. She looked really pretty in the clip, I could see a little more resemblance, than in the photos; she didn't need the surgery.

Did you not read where I said that she has changed with age, style and surgery, hun?

I said she does not look like a completely different woman. She is not unrecognisable.

Redpeach · 23/03/2025 13:13

She doesn't look much like her mum

Inmydreams88 · 23/03/2025 13:14

She was naturally quite an attractive girl before all the fillers/surgery I think. She probably would look more like her mother now if she hadn’t had all the work done.

Yes, methinks the lady doth protest too much?

In my experience the women determinedly informing everyone (whether they're interested or not) how amazing and wonderful their DH is don't tend to be happy. Who exactly are they trying to convince....?

Neither do they launch repeated nasty digs at other people's marriages. Genuinely happy and contented people are much more nonchalant than that.

She looked perhaps a mix of her Mum and dad if you see the photos, not like either really. She potentially takes after a grandparent too? We haven't seen her Mum young though.
I remember a wise relative saying to me; "you don't need to look like anyone, you look like yourself."

Weird that you think ‘basic human decency’ is ‘perfection’ and a completely unattainable standard. Like I said, to me (and most of my mates) that’s just a very low bar? I wouldn’t tolerate listening to men discuss women’s looks in the office, in the pub or at home. When men talk about the way women look I just think ‘dickhead’ and then remove myself from the conversation. I don’t want to hear anyone’s opinions on someone’s ears being too ‘sticky out’. Fuuuuuucking hell. The standard of chat in that house must be low, to say the least.

As a pp pointed out, the poster’s husband talked about male celebs personality traits but poor old Michelle was reduced to her looks. There’s no way that is not misogyny. it is not my fault your standards are so low but it does not make me smug to have standards that are higher.

BatchCookBabe · 23/03/2025 13:31

Actually you did say those things. ‘Every man I have ever know…’ (etc) and talk of stepford husbands as per your previous posts.

I just replied to your most recent post for ease tbqh. Like I said, raise 👏🏻 your 👏🏻 standards👏🏻. Your husband not being a dickhead is not ‘perfection’ or being a stepford husband. It’s just the very least you should expect!

Okay.

If you disqualify someone from the concept of 'basic human decency' because they commented on an actress's ears then you really do need to get out of the house more.

The headline though!
Michelle’s mother Jackie ‘ breaks her silence’😂
What a load of cobblers!

Also, sharing an image about your granddaughter coming up and giving you a hug for no reason.

isn’t the granddaughter weeks old? She’s not going up anybody giving hugs.

Coolasfeck · 23/03/2025 14:16

I know she’s had work done and has hair extensions. However, this doesn’t change my opinion that she looks fantastic. I’d like to find out more about what she’s done (so I can copy!) The things that can be achieved these days is amazing.

Usually, if someone is unattractive, or has a distinguish feature which is viewed negatively / considered unattractive, fhey will have surgery and it can change their appearance.

I think the thing about MK is that she was always pretty, and she didn’t have a dominant / unpleasant feature to tweak or disguise.

What she has done instead is change everything a little bit

So that whilst she is not unrecognisable, she is very much a completely different version of herself.

Alwaysalert · 23/03/2025 15:02

I think both are beautiful naturally, especially Michelle and I'm sorry she and any other woman feels they have to try and better their natural beauty. I wish I had looked as beautiful as her in her corrie days. Stunning.

SwissRollsRoyce · 23/03/2025 15:18

Threads like this really highlight how everything people assume about women having tendencies to be bitchy jealous and nasty when another woman is beautiful is true. The amount of likely mingers on here trying to say she isn't all that is a joke lol. Just accept another woman is beautiful.
