What one cocktail would you make to please a crowd of girls

Hosting my sister’s birthday. I want to make cocktails. The element in my home will be pyjamas and pizza. So quite relaxed. What cocktail can i make that will suit most people (wine, beer will also be available). I like quite tangy, spicy cocktails so don’t think my go tos would be a good choice.

Pornstar Martini?
Cosmo?
Strawberry Daiquiri? (hate it)
Espresso Martinis? (Love)

Not espresso martinis — people aren’t going to want all that caffeine in their system at night if they’re at all sensitive to it.

Aperol spritz is pretty easy?

I make Nigella's poinsettia cocktail. You don't have to wait until Christmas to drink it.

I’d go with cosmos, really easy to make especially if you get pink cranberry juice and orange vodka. Can be made up in advance and put in the fridge.

And in the first couple of answers, you see why you are setting yourself an impossible task.

I would drink a gallon of espresso martinis or a vat of Aperol Spritz, but you'll soon have a thread full of people saying you shouldn't possibly serve either.

Pornstar martinis or any cocktail based on Prosecco/Champagne like Bellinis

A classic Mojito would be my 1st choice then a strawberry daiquiri

Espresso martini but with decaf coffee. I always ruled them out before because I didn’t want to be wired but a friend made them with decaf and I was hooked!

Cosmopolitan is a classic, good compromise between a really strong one and long one as you can put a bit more Cranberry in if people want etc and is quite forgiving if you don't get it quite right

Do a WA group and ask people to vote. I like fruity. So the suggestions would suit me, so would a daiquiri (any flavour except mango). But I do usually take my own incase their isn't a sweet drink choice, or lemonade.

Women have a range of tastes in cocktails (as men do). The flavours you prefer aren't decided by your genitalia. Tangy and spicy is no less "feminine" than fruity and sweet.

That said I think mojitos are about as universal a crowd-pleaser as you could find. Definitely not espresso martinis, I love them but only ever one in a night unless I want to be really wired.

I’d maybe go with two easy ones so you cover the spread. Maybe a Cosmo or Pornstar Martini as one (both being quite sweet) and a martini or Aperol Spritz as the other (being more astringent)

I like a limincello or Hugo spritz, whatever you go for choose something that is quick to make, bonus of going for a spritz type cocktail is if someone doesn't like it they can just drink the sparkling wine

I would go for mojitos - only because you can easily swap up the flavour, get some berries or fruit on the side and it can be classic / strawberry / orange / mixed fruit with a swap, then most people should be able to find something they like?

Mojito - we usually make a jug of alcoholic and alcohol free version.

My point re tangy and spicy is it’s more niche. Some people will have an issue with spice. No need to bring gender politics into it. It’s not that deep. Just look for an inoffensive flavour that most peole find palatable.

Absolutely not to anything coffee, it's too niche. Keep it simple - jugs of sex on the beach, pina colada etc.

Or just buy the pre mixed stuff you add booze too so people can choose? Funkin Cocktails are pretty good.
