Maybe just the excitement of the weekend or a bit of sunshine anything big of small.. what are you grateful that happened this week

Plumber came and fixed the toilet flush so that the ballcock is no longer held in place with 2 hair bands. Also I went to the tip and was able to park exactly next to the container that I needed ( cardboard). It’s the little things.

I made my very first Welsh rarebit and it was fucking delicious 🤤

My highlight was a live music event last night. Small venue and low-key affair, but so uplifting and excellent musicians. I love live music.

I had a boob job yesterday! I’ve wanted one since I was 16 (uneven droopy boobs which didn’t improve with age or pregnancy!). 21 years later and I did it.

In pain today, but I’m glad I did it, and at the age I’m at now, knowing I’ve done it for me and nobody else. 😊

Discovered head wraps suit me more than I expected them to - had surgery recently that involved a strip an inch and a half wide being shaved from the front to the crown of my head just to the side of centre parting and while I'm waiting for enough hair to grow back to possibly get it all cut short I'm going with stretchy snood-type headwraps to keep everything clean, stop the scars and remaining stitches catching on anything, and not make people recoil in horror when I'm out in public 😁

Having my baby on Monday. She’s healthy and happy and completely perfect. My son has taken to being a big brother beautifully 🥰

I have had a few days off work which is already a big plus , I cant afford to go away so I finished of doing a bit of decorating that's been waiting for months and months.

I've gone through a load of paperwork and shredded of filed it correctly.

And today I have cleared a load of 'keep it just incase ' stuff I've had for years , I have more to chuck out but my bin is full 😕.

I didnt actually plan to do any of this , I just got restless in the best possible way.

My 17 year old son brought his college tutor some doughnuts because she was stressed out. He also walked his female friend home because it was dark and he was worried about her..... he's quite a sensitive little soul

Somebody I’ve been mentoring for a while at work rang me this morning to tell me she has been offered the promotion she interviewed for a few days ago. I’m absolutely over the moon for her, she’s worked hard for this and really deserves it.

I finally sold my former family home this week. I will now be able to pay off the mortgage on my current home.

The broken washing machine that we put out for collection was taken.

Its good cos where we live the dump is often full and they won't take stuff. Can't book a slot. And we would have had to borrow a van to get the washing machine there (most likely just to find that the dump was closed).

Its stupid but such a relief!

A payrise upcoming, confirmed this week.
Had annual leave to use up so just had 2 v chilled days.
Kids are having a sleepover with the grandparents tomorrow.
There's finally some sun around.

I learnt how to back slab (plaster a limb) and I glued and steri stripped a finger! I'm a student nurse it was a fab week!

I visited a primary school and did art with a year 5 class! It was absolutely marvellousp!

I tried leading my very pregnant mare around the riding arena today, without a lead rein.

Because of her delicate condition I’ve not been able to ride her, so I’ve spent the last three months building the bond, doing groundwork, gentle lunging, and grooming her.

Today I thought we’d have a go at liberty training, and she was a total superstar. Followed me around like a little lamb!

I also discovered that she adores wither scritches, and we did a bit of mutual grooming. She’s my very best thing (along with her doggy siblings) 🥰

I finished a course of antibiotics that had made me have the most horrendous shits every day of the week. Evil but necessary horrible antibiotics for an awful chest infection that I think (🤷‍♀️🤞) has finally gone…!

Went out with a friend and bumped into an old colleague that I hadn't seen for about 15 years. Was lovely to catch up with them.

I had a day off yesterday, I went for a coffee in a nice cafe, then I went for a long walk in the sunshine while listening to my audiobook, then went for a swim, and even fitted in a nap before I had to pick up the kids. Was just a lovely peaceful day.

It's absolutely fabulous when that connection clicks its it , many years ago I had to do similar with a youngster that had damage his knee . It took a long yime but suddenly one day he just seemed to click what I wanted from him with no pressure at all.

Have uou seen Endo the blind horse of Fb .? The bond he has with his owner is the best thing I have ever seen

Had a day off work today, didn't tell DH or the kids, though I did do the school runs. Got loads of little jobs done around the house and found time for a bit of crochet.
