Really awful.

Oh heck. I wear wellies and I drape a jumper and zest lemons, helppppp

People don’t generally wear wellies in central London. Not even protesting farmers.

I believe it was also reported that the people Knauf was referring to never actually officially complained and the investigation ultimately never saw the light of day.

Knauf also testified against the Sussexes in the recent litigation on behalf of the Murdock media. He's not exactly a neutral figure.

So what do we have here? No actual specific accusations. No invesigatins made public. No individuals on the record. Pretty much nothing.

Ah, so you do know quite a bit about this then, repeating various old discredited allegations? Interesting disingenuity there.

Firstly, it was Omid Scobie who reported the complaints of bullying had been withdrawn. The Times journalist who broke the story (Valentine Low) confirmed this was nonsensical, as the bullied staff had not themselves made the complaint - some had resigned by this point - and Jason Knauf who had made the compliant had not withdrawn it. Anyone can make a compliant about bullying - you do not have to be the victim to do so (and often victims do not, hence it persists).

Secondly yes, after the Duchess of Sussex made untrue allegations about the contact her staff had had with Omid Scobie during the writing of Finding Freedom (she said on oath that she had never authorised any of her staff to have contact with Omid Scobie and no-one in her office had done any fact-checking of his draft) Jason Knauf came forward to present emails to the court that confirmed that both Meghan and Omid Scobie were lying to the court on this point. He had been specifically instructed by Meghan to give Scobie Meghan’s own notes of background for his book, and she had asked him to fact-check the draft. Meghan was criticised for misleading the Court. I think we can all tell who came out of that with their integrity intact.

And when first approached to be a witness in Meghan’s court case, Jason Knauf had said no, as he didn’t want to get involved. That was before his former employer stated on oath things about him that he knew were not true.

And the allegations against Meghan were very specific. For example one former staff member gave a detailed account of Meghan’s behaviour towards them on one Friday night in particular. Something had not been to the Duchess’ satisfaction and she and Harry continuously rang their staff member to berate them.

"Every 10 minutes, I had to go outside to be screamed at by her and Harry. It was, 'I can't believe you've done this. You've let me down. What were you thinking?' It went on for a couple of hours. You could not escape them. There were no lines or boundaries—it was last thing at night, first thing in the morning,"

And that’s just one of the stories

Serenster · 07/03/2025 14:46

TheKeatingFive · 07/03/2025 14:37

Knauf when asked for details of the bullying allegations was the one who came up with 'sending emails early in the morning'. Like that was the best he could do.

Can you source that please?

muhlezur · 07/03/2025 14:48

The likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Harvey Weinstein, Diddy, and plenty more, would never have been exposed if it wasn't for the anonymous victims, those people who were silenced with NDA's, having the ability to anonymously disclose what happened to them.

It is good to see bullies being exposed, as in the case of Meghan, especially when it is more than one or two lone voices who can be dismissed and disbelieved, but now there are multiple voices admitting how badly they were bullied, employees who worked for very different organisations in different continents.

It's a huge stretch to believe they are all lying, the 'smear' campaign has been totally demolished. The only ones who did the smearing were Meghan and Harry, .

Maybe but it’s not really the done thing in central London.

Serenster · 07/03/2025 14:52

Attributed to no named person.

Beacuse they were subject to an NDA.

You do realise that when Meghan and Harry have made public appearance (at a school in New York to read Meghan’s book The Bench for example) they have insisted that the people they interact with sign non-disclosure agreements prohibiting them from saying anything negative about the couple, and having anything they do want to say vetted in advance to ensure its acceptable? NDAs are used as a gag by the powerful to silence voices against them. Incredibly handy if you’re a bully of your employees…

So what though?

I once saw a woman in a playsuit and wellies on the tube. It struck me as a bit outside the norm, but people can wear what they want. It's not something I'd be doling out criticism for.

Meghan Markle being outed as a bully, who else. Which explains all the kickback she receives, not many people support bullying behaviour.

Then why don't they share this bullying report with the general public then? (In these instances is possible to obscure the name of the employees involved to protect their privacy)Share it and litigate it in court. Don't just throw this vague accusations the day prior to the Oprah interview. It's been 5 years, and we have not heard anything else about this report.

It is really weird that a woman that worked in an environment as competitive and cut throat as Hollywood had a spotless reputation(no negative gossip from former colleagues, crew members etch, not even a negative word from her ex husband)prior to joining the RF, and then bum you join the RF and you become this big, she-devil bully.

Again the time these accusations came out is really suspect as well, and then conveniently we don't hear anything else for 5 years. Yeah very interesting 🤔

But cut to the chase, what do we have here?

A report commissioned by the palace that was quietly shelved.

And a couple of newspaper stories, from a press that love stirring up hate, that are attributed to nothing but 'sources' which they can get away with not putting on the record because 'NDAs'.

That's not evidence of anything.

I don’t find that strange at all. Meghan wasn’t in a position of power in her Hollywood career, she was moving her way up the ladder.

But even so, there were public reports out there. The director of her Reitman’s commercial from when she was on Suits, for example, who publicly commented that she was the meanest person he had ever worked with…

A report commissioned by the palace that was quietly shelved.

A report that was always going to highly confidential and has remained so, I think you mean.

And a Duchess who has never denied the allegations, just described them as a smear.

And accounts from lots of different employees (despite being legally gagged) in two different continents to three different publications over many intervening years.

And a husband that admits in his autobiography that their office was a fraught environment with people stretched out across desks crying and unable to take “constructive criticism”.

And an account also from Harry that William was angry about Meghan’s treatment of their shared staff, which Harry blamed on William believing what he read in the paper - when the bullying allegations didn’t come out in the press until after Harry and Meghan had already left, and when William worked with the very same staff.

We will have to disagree on what way the evidence points.

Even if you are working your way up within the Hollywood ladder, if you have a hierarchical mindset that would lead you to bully someone, you will certainly find someone "below" you in the ladder to bully. I am in a corporate and bullies don't always come in the form of a CEO or a Manager.

As I have said Meghan had a spotless reputation.

More importantly, if you are going to accuse a person of bullying and create a whole report around this accusations it is only fair to litigate it in court. Doing otherwise does not make any sense.

The fact that after 5 years none of this has happened can only lead you to believe that this is just one of the endless tools used in this smear campaign

Good to hear. Thank you.

It's pure unadulterated pap, and I love a bit of pap that doesn't need any brain power!

I’ve never envied Meghan, her choice of husband doesn’t appeal at all so wouldn’t want to be dealing that lol but my goodness I could envy her living in Montecito, if it’s as beautiful as the vibe I’m getting from the little I’ve seen of WLM is anything to go by. I’d just want to float around doing very little except soak up the beauty of the place and pinch myself to check it’s real.

Her lawyer firmly denied these accusations.
Meghan and her team did prepare another report to rebuke these accusations. It is when they did so that the RF mysteriously decided to go quiet, and 5 years later we have still not had any follow up on this "case"🤔

So why have the very litigious Meghan and Harry not sued then? They and their lawyers had the initial Times report for several days before it was published, their lawyers’ comments were reflected in the final draft, but the story stood up. The Times published. It was not denied.

Surely Meghan and Harry would be keen to clear their name? But no, they haven’t. They came out with a derisory pushback to the Hollywood Reporter that actually just revealed Meghan as an intrusive boss with no concept of boundaries (she rang her employer’s husband every day while her employee was on a period of long term sick leave!).

Linsco · 07/03/2025 15:32

Have I stumbled onto the Daily Mail website?.... Off I'll pop...

Serenster · 07/03/2025 15:34

Her lawyer firmly denied these accusations.

Actually, she didn’t. She (Jenny Afia) described them as a smear but did not deny them.

And Jenny Afia would be the same lawyer that denied that Meghan had any involvement whatsoever with Finding Freedom, by the way. She said that “allegations that Meghan had helped Scobie were false, fantastical, and a conspiracy theory”. And we all know that was a big fat lie!
