Just wondering what people’s thoughts are on this one. I’m torn.

On one hand he is free to wear what he wants and feels comfortable in to wherever he wishes however, it also seems disrespectful to show such contempt to the Oscars and, to his colleagues who have all bothered to make a huge effor

Even if I knew nothing about the past events it's obviously comedic OP.

How can you think this was serious?? It's clearly part of the show.

Obviously scripted (and as said by PP you can hear his mike rubbing against his clothes) but a bit subtle to be satire, bit odd with Conan laughing and just... not very funny.

I’m shocked anyone thought this wasn’t scripted.

Conan and Sandler are very good friends and what Adam Sandler wears to events has always been a joke.

that was a gag too.

I would say it was a set up and he was in on it. He wasn't up for any awards, he was sat at the end of a row and his wife wasn't sat with him so it made it very easy for him to 'storm' out?

It's like when I thought Kirsten Dunst, one of my favourite actresses, had been insulted by Amy Schumer. Lots of other Dunst fans did, too... But it was all scripted.
