To think the Republican Party need to wake up and find their spine?

The Republican Party are responsible for President Trump. Given that they have a majority in both Houses and on the Supreme Court, they are the only ones who can prevent him further damaging the US and its citizens.

Their fear and appeasement of the bully Trump has only made him stronger, but we are where we are and can only go from here.

AIBU to think Republicans need to find their spine, guts and voice to stop appeasing/placating Trump and do their duty for the American people?

@BIossomtoes

Sorry, I don't subscribe to all that nonsense. Mr Clever Cloggs is an old saying regardless of female or male that I grew up with. I am not in with the 'woke' crowd, with their 'woke' agenda. People are so feeble nowadays it's a wonder they don't drop dead from shcck if you don't use their 'preferred pronouns'. Mr Clever Cloggs it is. Stick to the subject matter of more debateable issues like the Republicans, democrats, America, etc etc without deflecting to this 'woke' nonsense. Of course there are women in the army but a small percentage compared to men unless many men have shapeshifted and have miraculous become women. ....and pigs might fly!

Having read through the thread, I've reached the conclusion that Odin is an angry male boomer.

Is there anyone in real life that could pay you some attention? Feel like I've done my shift.

Oddly, it looks like Odin was perhaps a solicitor once upon a time. I get the sense that they had a bit of a mental breakdown during the pandemic (claiming that herd immunity has been debunked and all sorts on some vaccination threads). They seemed a typical poster before then.

Odin, I know you probably won't receive this well and it's not intended to be as patronizing as it might sound, but do make sure to take care of your mental health, step away from Twitter and alike and, if you feel that you might possibly benefit, you should not be reluctant to seek support.

I'm not going to engage further as I don't think it's a remotely productive conversation and I'm not sure it's doing anyone any good.

thing thats winding me up on many of these threads is the reaction to suggesting europe goes it alone

so poster A will say something along the lines of ‘europe needs to step up’

and then when poster B says ‘ yes we need to pay more and go it alone without the usa’ poster A throws a wobbly and starts saying that we are too weak to go it alone and we don’t have the soldiers etc

i mean make your bloody minds up!

Hilarious I must say!

My mental health is absolutely fine. I am doing great, physically and mentally. In fact I am really happy with my lot so trying to insinuate anything else doesnt really mean anything at all whatsoever.

I find it weird though that you would take the time to find, look and read other posts of mine on other threads. You must have quite an interest in me as I would not waste any time looking through your past stuff! A bit stalky and creepy really - not something that normal people would do. Seems its not me with the mental issues!

Hi all,
Just flagging that it would be a good idea, if this thread is to remain, for it to go back to addressing the subject at hand.
