After yesterday's news, Britain shouldn't be the one funding war as USA has said they are out now. There's no chance Britain can fight this war alone with Ukraine against Russia.
Since this war started, our life has only become miserable with CoL increase.
AIBU to think we shouldn't have anything to do this war and we should fix our own problems first before giving away our tax money?

They made peace with Russia and ceded territory the last time it invaded Ukraine... A few years later they're back in the same position!

Trump wants Ukraine to surrender to the aggressor. Zelensky wants the US to pick a fucking side, preferably not Russia.

Ukraine doesn’t need USA to help them to surrender. They could do that on their own, they need OUR help to save their country from a power hungry, land grabbing dictator who will NOT just stop at Ukraine.

I am pretty familiar with European history and how it goes for the common people. Solution should be world peace not war.

I think if we had sides that had previously shown fairness and respected peace…one side doesn’t ….they lie and think it’s ok just to invade another country regardless.

I agree on diplomacy providing its fair and equal not one side needs to roll over and accept their country to be raided for resource by a couple of privileged men who only care for themselves.

Zelensky has asked for a security guarantee.
A security guarantee is about peace keepers monitoring a peace not troops fighting on the side of Ukraine in direct combat. Putin isn't going to stop if he is successful in Ukraine. As pp have said he wants to retake all former USSR territory and that's a move across Europe. That's going to impact massively on our economy and our security. It's a direct threat to our way of life.

USA now being putins puppet should not stop us honouring our long standing agreement to help Ukraine

Russia has already broken several ceasefires.

Then you’ll be familiar with Germany ‘reuniting’ with Austria followed by the invasion of Poland and the consequences that followed Europes last attempt at appeasing a megalomaniac dictator.
Russia are NOT currently winning this war - they need it to stop before they run out of cannon fodder… there are ways to end this conflict that don’t entail Russia being allowed to invade and keep another country.
