I put this in AIBU for traffic. I am furious and I know what I’m feeling is reasonable. Trump has convinced/bullied whatever Romania into releasing the bastards and has allowed them to fly to America. They are on their way to Florida. No doubt to be wined and dined at bloody Maralago. They will now have a luxury life and continue to be able to abuse and exploit women and girls and also corrupt the minds of boys and young men. 😡

I'm calling bs on that. Influencing millions? Come off it. Don't be so melodramatic. A handful of morons at best who, even without the Tates, would still be morons.

You are clearly not British, yes, millions of young boys here.

TheignT · 27/02/2025 17:24

I wonder if they will go back in a month as per the conditions of them being allowed to travel? If they don't what can Romania do?

JHound · 27/02/2025 17:24

TemporaryPosition · 27/02/2025 15:55

Neither the right nor the left are a friend to women, but to the lefts shame - it is they who have launched the most vicious attack on women and girls in recent years. To the extent that Trump looks as though he hates them less.

Yes.

Ok.

If you say so.

Changingplace · 27/02/2025 16:34

This is sadly a very naive view, Tate has an absolutely huge following across social media, 10million followers on X and that’s without the now backing of the likes of Trump & Musk.

He’ll have a role in the White House soon, can see it a mile off.

I think Trump will have been influenced in this by his son Barron, he was in charge of his social media campaign knowing how to reach and influence a young audience by engaging with certain podcasts etc.

Sad to hear this. I’d been hoping that baron might grow up a bit better than the rest since his mother has kept herself (and by default her son) well away from Trump aside from the odd public appearance.

So mine and yours won't be. Just people less clever and enlightened than us. That's really patronising.

There are multiple accounts from schools on the negative impact of the Tates on how boys are interacting with female teachers and fellow pupils.

Please don’t play dumb.

StrikeAlways · 27/02/2025 17:32

Ablondiebutagoody · 27/02/2025 16:42

So if you had sons, you really think that they would be persuaded to get into the sex trafficking business because of Andrew Tate?

It’s not necessarily about intelligent, well adjusted sons with good parents (although some of them get caught up too), those most vulnerable to this shit don’t have those advantages.

OP posts:
DomPom47 · 27/02/2025 17:32

No doubt Trump will have them in a job linked to women’s rights. Nothing this President does surprises me and the worst is still probably yet to come.

Dollydaydream100 · 27/02/2025 16:45

Does he really actually SAY this stuff on camera?

Ive heard of him of course but I don't really know anything about him.

Yes

Thinking Melanie will find them disgusting and will need to change the upholstery after they depart.

Do you mean Malania? She hasn’t lived with Trump for many years.

I think that most of the posters here need to have a bit more faith in their kids to see through his bullshit. It's wild that so many are worried their boys are going to turn into misogynistic monsters because of some cigar smoking cretin on the internet. The moral panic is massively OTT in my opinion.

Some of us care about boys who are not ours, society in general.

They seem like a pair of tw@ts but pretty insignificant really so not worth getting worked up about.

Unfortunately you are incorrect about them being 'insignificant' - these 'men' are responsible for corrupting a lot of young minds in the UK. Andrew Tate is everywhere - all teenagers know about him, quite a few idolise him.

Our secondary teachers are explicitly asking for guidance on how to tackle online misogyny and Andrew Tate's influence on pupils.

saraclara · 27/02/2025 17:57

I am wondering how the GC feminists who said and still say they like trump because he “knows what a woman is” will defend this.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

LifeExperience · 27/02/2025 18:00

The governor of my beloved home state of Florida said a few hours ago that they are not welcome in Florida, and that the state will be looking to see if any crimes were committed in Florida so they can be tried under state law. The penalty for sex trafficking is 30 years and the penalty for rape of a minor (aggravated sexual battery) is life without the possibility of parole.

Let's hope they effed up in Florida, because my state will get them if they did.

Thelittleweasel · 27/02/2025 18:01

The Romanians say that they will go back for their court cases! Oh yes!

@StrikeAlways

Thelittleweasel · 27/02/2025 18:03

@LifeExperience

And if they did get tried and found guilty Trump would pardon them perhaps?

RetroTotty · 27/02/2025 18:04

@LifeExperience Trump will not like that!

wholettheturnipsburn · 27/02/2025 18:09

@Ablondiebutagoody Please don't use the word "cretin"

It's very, very offensive

No chance. Some Republicans (like DeSantis) will make outraged statements to start, then Trump will say something like the Tate brothers are actually victims of sex trafficking, then the other Republicans will start repeating it.

I dont think there's ever been such a collective lack of spines in any political party.

Whatafustercluck · 27/02/2025 18:13

I utterly despair. There is not much hope in the world right now, is there?

Ablondiebutagoody · 27/02/2025 16:42

So if you had sons, you really think that they would be persuaded to get into the sex trafficking business because of Andrew Tate?

So you don't think there's anything short of 'will make your son become a sex trafficer' that would qualify as harmful? Hmm You're fine with the idea that millions of boys and young men are following and admiring someone like Tate and that Trump might make that seem more acceptable by supporting him?

Unforgettablefire · 27/02/2025 18:21

Ablondiebutagoody · 27/02/2025 13:51

They're far from insignificant they're horribly dangerous it's a worry how much influence they have.

NotTerfNorCis · 27/02/2025 18:29

No feminists support Trump. A lot of conservatives oppose genderism, as well as feminists. In fact, the ridiculousness of genderism was an absolute gift to the right. Now it's taking feminism and gay rights down with it.

Hufflemuff · 27/02/2025 18:32

Fingers crossed nothing awful happens to them in America.... Its a very dangerous country and there are a lot of people who don't agree with what these nasty shits are spouting.

crumblingschools · 27/02/2025 18:33

@Ablondiebutagoody I'm guessing you don't work in a Secondary school. It's not just the Tates but they have a huge influence on many young men. Misogyny is rife in schools and fuelled by men like them
