I put this in AIBU for traffic. I am furious and I know what I’m feeling is reasonable. It's about how men treat women generally in society.

I think that most of the posters here need to have a bit more faith in their kids to see through his bullshit. Have you spoken to any secondary teachers recently? Ask them how much of an issue it is in schools. Especially the female teachers.

I'm confident in my son's ability to see through this bullshit because we actively encourage an environment where women are treated with respect.

You're hugely underestimating how big an issue this is and how harmful this is for women.

No so, in the UK, they, especially Andrew have a huge influence amongst teenage boys and men. There blogs are all over the place, telling them that girls/womens only role is to support “their man”. That if they don’t do as they’re told, make them. If they don’t comply with want they want in sex, make them, using violence if necessary, so they learn respect. Ask any young girl in the UK and they will tell you that the many, many of the boys at school and college admire them and are influenced by them. I don’t see that as insignificant.

They were not locked up. They had their passports held whilst the case came to court because they were a flight risk. Do you really have a problem with that given that they were charged with multiple rapes, trafficking of children and money laundering?

I am wondering how the GC feminists who said and still say they like trump because he “knows what a woman is” will defend this.
I am very much on side as a feminist who knows that sex is immutable but I would never be a single issue voter and in no way like any single thing about that orange psychopath.
The fact that he doesn’t think men in frocks are women is no more indicative of his nature than hitler being a vegetarian.
It will be of small comfort to the women who die from no access to abortion even in medical emergency that the president knows how to differentiate females from males.
We all know trump can recognise a genuine vagina when he sees one. After all, as he has boasted himself he can grab us by the pussy whenever he wants.
Trump has shown his contempt for women again and again. This bollocks with the Tate scum is just today’s example.

I’m generally a fairly chilled person. I practice mindfulness and rarely feel real anger, but this has pushed me over that edge!

There are other ties as well.
One of Tate’s lawyers now works in the White House as a liaison to the US Justice Department.

Paul Ingrassia was part of a team representing the Tate brothers in a defamation lawsuit they filed against several of their alleged victims.

But Ingrassia also acted as Andrew Tate’s publicist and says he got the self-described misogynist influencer onto a show hosted by Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host.

Ingrassia effusively praised Tate in online posts. In one dating from July 2023, he echoed far-right online talking points about moral decay in Western countries and called Tate “an extraordinary human being” who was offering “a dying West some hope for renewal”.
