If you really can't see the problem with projecting a whole bunch of assumptions onto a person based solely on their appearance then we're regressing as a species at an alarming rate.
And yet it’s not solely on her appearance, is it. it’s about the fact that she chose this and what the reason for that is. People would have different reactions to someone who had lost their nose for some other reason like an accident, drug use or assault.
We all make snap judgements about people based on their appearance all the time - I bet there isn’t anyone who can see who doesn’t. It’s how we assess our safety, who we might get on with best, who to approach or avoid. If this woman didn’t care about appearances why would she go out of her way to look like this? I’d bet my house she judges people who look conventional or boring.
