To ask how to best handle this car blocking my drive?

I live near to a football stadium and the team are currently playing. Somebody has parked right across my drive and blocked me in. I assume they have gone the match.

You need a residents pass to park round here and it doesn't look like they have one. Looks like I'm trapped until they come back.

What's best to do? Can I report them to the council? Leave a note? Confront them upon their return. Or is all of that pointless?

I wanted to go to the supermarket which will likely be closed by the time they're back.

Omg the police have just rang and said they're sending a tow. I am a bit too I excited about this.

Half an hour left in the game...

To those asking, yes it's a proper drive with dropped kerb.

There's normally a lot of stoppage time due to var these days, so could be longer. How much of a walk is it to your house for the ground?

HelpMeGetThrough · 16/02/2025 15:26

Half an hour left in the game...

Pray for injury time. A broken leg should do it.

HermioneWeasley · 16/02/2025 15:26

In fact, it would be a shame if all their tyres were flat so they couldn’t drive away before the tow truck got there….

MonetWaterlilies · 16/02/2025 15:26

I need to do stuff but I can't until the car is towed!

Timeforabiscuit · 16/02/2025 15:27

I'm here for team tow!

Extra bonus points if the owner arrives just as the tow truck pulls away already loaded!

I am all for jokes but not sure how funny I would find knackered suspension!

It didn't have any decent suspension in the first place! He had pimped it to have virtually solid suspension that was unbreakable. Not to mention so uncomfortable to ride in!! He even had roll bars in it!

We also stole his keys one night and filled it with pink fluffy dice 😂

ByUniqueNavyPoet · 16/02/2025 15:27

Oh I'm made up for you! My family live by Goodison and can't wait for the ground to close because of the parking!!

Americano75 · 16/02/2025 15:28

Right, Wolves just pulled one back so that buys us more time!

Great news, hope they get there in time and the dickhead gets what they deserve! 😂

JSMill · 16/02/2025 15:28

Crossing everything it gets there in time! This person has just dumped their car thinking there would be no consequences. Selfish people like that deserve to be taught a lesson.

LoveWine123 · 16/02/2025 15:29

If all else fails…get your cheapest lipstick and write “do not park here” on the windshield with it. It’s a bitc* to get out.

WinterMorn · 16/02/2025 15:30

Weddingbells6 · 16/02/2025 14:11

Revenge. You can’t get out now regardless of whether you report it or not, just go and scratch it in an obvious way (assuming neighbours don’t have CCTV and that they can clearly see they’re blocking your drive and car) so they think twice next time. Absolutely horrible, selfish thing to do, you could have had a hospital appt or any number of urgent things to do. A&E with a vulnerable child etc. I’m not joking btw or having bravado.

Don’t do this, it’s utterly terrible advice that could end with you in possession of a criminal record.

Americano75 · 16/02/2025 15:30

Thing is, if you do anything to the car a)he'll know it's you and b)he knows where you live.

I was stood in a stand once when a player broke his leg on the pitch. The sickening snap is something thats never left me.
It's really not amusing in any way.

Rugbyterms · 16/02/2025 15:33

Oh I am completely invested. Team tow here.

Sunnydiary · 16/02/2025 15:36

Praying the tow truck gets to you before the cunty Parker returns.

Puppupandaway · 16/02/2025 15:36

Hope the tow truck hurries up...but OP I'm a bit worried for you if the car owner is a lunatic and reacts, knowing it was probably your house that phoned the police. Are you on your own??

Hairoit · 16/02/2025 15:37

Brilliant

ThisNeverEndingShitShow · 16/02/2025 15:37

op has already done that. If you read only op’s posts you will see they are sending a tow truck

sorry. Quoted wrong poster!

MyDeftDuck · 16/02/2025 15:38

You could try a technique that my colleagues used to use when responding to an emergency and couldn't gain access due to parked vehicles........get three mates, one at each corner, and bounce the vehicle out of the way! Certainly doesn't do the suspension much good but is proven to save lives........and SOOOO satisfying!!!

Another one hoping the tow truck gets there before the owner does. And I hope you film it 🙈🤣
