And what was your results like? Did it last long? I’m getting it done soon for the first time and I can’t wait lol

Probably because you're so childish if this is what you're like day to day.

eh? What’s childish in that poster’s comment?
Yours, on the other hand…

Oh sshhh, YOU don't like it, then YOU don't use it and enjoy your wrinkles

7% of women.
And actually, what’s wrong with wrinkles? Faces which show their age are way more beautiful and interesting.

LarnaArm · 13/02/2025 17:11

Late 50’s and never.

I would never inject my body with any chemical. ( especially as we have no idea of any longer term issues).

funinthesun19 · 13/02/2025 14:17

I’m 35 and want to have my forehead done but just too nervous! I’m worried about it going wrong.

That’s the reason I’ve never had it. I’m vainer than a vain thing and I really like my face, I’m terrified of not recognising or liking the person I see in the mirror. I’ll stick with the lines.

Incidentally, nobody at work gives a shit how old you look unless you work in the beauty industry. I was over 60 when I got my last promotion, it was my skills and experience that mattered.

Ooo this is potentially interesting! I have the sweatiest head in the world.

It is an absolute game changer I found out after having it for a while that people call it 'blow-tox' lol it means your blow-dry will last longer 😂

Changeandchanges · 12/02/2025 19:39

Oh my goodness this a sad thread.

Is botox really the norm for so many women?
And so many young women at that?

Agree with you. Very sad.

cardibach · 13/02/2025 16:56

Fresher? Do people who don’t use it look stale or rotten then?

IMO, certainly not. If anything, I think that people who use it can look quite odd. Just because they think that they look 'fresher' doesn't mean that they do in reality.

Yeah. Totally rancid.

I'm not sure what your point is.

I'm 52 and look good for my age and I've never had it.

I am trying to lose a bit of weight (have a BMI of 27 at the moment) and I do wonder if I do lose the weight I will look older.

2 things can be both be true.

We can both look good for our ages. No one is saying you can't.

Maybe I just look better.....😂

Tell yourself that then to make you feel better.

You seem to have had a nerve hit with your last couple of posts.

OctoberandApril · 13/02/2025 17:47

How you age also has a lot to do with your genes and lifestyle.

Notsuchafattynow · 13/02/2025 17:49

There's certainly alot of angst and weirdly placed anger on the thread!

Superhansrantowindsor · 13/02/2025 17:49

I’m nearly 50 and don’t have any wrinkles. A combination of greasy skin when younger and always using the highest spf I can get my hands on from May to September.

I would like to think I’ll never get it but perhaps I feel different when I get wrinkles.

kaos2 · 13/02/2025 17:52

Very common now , im 50 and haven't felt the need to. Everyone I know has though including people in their 20's! 😱

Or maybe you just think you do.....I don't know anyone who looks better for having botox. I would actually consider certain surgeries before I would botox.

I don’t berate or judge anyone for being au naturel - so I don’t understand why people go so mental with the mention of Botox.
There’s always a pile on on MN, it’s like catnip on a par with any poor soul who says they are fat.
On MN you must be as thin as a whippet, super busy all day long, not dye your hair, not use injectables, have a 6 figure salary and are so young looking you pay half fare on the bus and the postman faints when he finds out you have children = bingo.

I was about to say I haven’t seen any of what you describe. Then the post under yours changed all that😂

AllFurCoatAndFrillyKnickers · 13/02/2025 18:25

Never have and I'm 61. Never will either. I'm going to get old disgracefully.
I've always worn sunblock on my face, don't sunbathe and eat a healthy diet, and I don't think I look too bad, but if I did, it is tough.
I wouldn't be injecting stuff into my face that might make me look strange.

theribbonroom · 13/02/2025 18:48

How much are you all spending on Botox? I can barely afford wrinkle cream!

That your phrasing reveals a really twisted view?

I also said I felt fresher after using Botox. I felt fresher compared to how I before using it

i wasnt comparing myself to anyone else just my pre Botox face, I don’t care what anyone else looks like to be honest, it’s none of business what they choose to do or not do to their bodies, hair and faces

No, you said you looked fresher. That’s an implied criticism of how others look.

Newbie8918 · 13/02/2025 20:11

@cardibach oh come on!

'I feel fresher'
'I am going to freshen up'
'I like fresh pjs'

All of these statements are referring to the speaker. Not inferring that others are not fresh/dirty/a slight on anyone still wearing existing PJs 🙈

210 quid. Thats forehead, frown lines, crows feet and my jaw because of my bruxism.

It said look fresher. Not feel.
