It's like a parallel universe - how did America come to this? So now he plans to ethnically cleanse Gaza we are told - to create the 'Riviera of the Middle East.' A golf course and hotels probably. The £2 million people can just go wherever. Wtf! AIBU to think America is imploding in on itself?

You said you thought it was a rhetorical question, yet demanded answers. Quite odd.

Not sensitive, just highly bemused by your posts on here.

I thought it was rhetorical because I thought you knew the answer yourself. I realise now that you don't know the answer.

Asking questions is not being demanding or odd. It's how we learn.

That's really not how international law works...

Hamas was obeying some international laws… explain pls, because I’m ignorant of Hamas following the international laws of ??? What, Sharia?

Yes of course, a group of terrorists, hamas, made the state sponsored Israel terror machine bomb the hell out of people and refuse them water or aid.

Didn't make them, but by default allowed them to. Do you not think there is any blame or accountability for Hamas on this? Hamas brought on this situation. I'm actually with the Palestinians on how they've been treated for the past 70 years, but 100% on Hamas for the deaths since October 7th. What were they hoping to achieve by kidnapping the Israeli civilians?

PollyPaintsFlowers · 06/02/2025 12:15

I did some research and this is what I found from unocha.org. This is directly after Israel left the Gaza strip and a year before Hamas was voted into power

'Palestinian National Security Forces progressively moved into the former settlements throughout Sunday night and into the early hours of this morning. In spite of their presence, synagogues were set ablaze in Netzarim, Kfar Darom and Morag by groups of Palestinians who followed behind the security forces'

Again, the actions of some nutters excuses the Israel state of what amounts to war crimes against innocent people?

It seems to be exactly that!

thank you for your succinct explanation.

Notaflippinclue · 06/02/2025 12:19

It won't happen because nobody wants radicalised Palestinians even temporarily

I thought it was a very interesting find. Hamas weren't even in power yet and Palestinians were burning and looting Israeli buildings

Cerial · 06/02/2025 12:22

BTW … as a UK taxpayer, I don’t want to pay to re-build any other country. Nor support the UK subsidizing farmers abroad whilst taxing our own.

I agree UK needs to stop flushing taxpayer £££ out of UK until we sort our own problems with poverty, cost of living, housing, education, disability (not the disability scammers).Add Chagos to the list. WTF?

No, you learn by researching. So research. Don't expect others to hand-feed you answers that you will then inevitably just dismiss anyway when they don't suit your narrative of choice.

It's no secret that terrorists are being released in exchange for hostages taken from Israel. It's exactly what happened when Gilad Shalit was released as well, and the result of that was October 7th.

Or that a mosque was set on fire by Israeli extremists just this week.

Not the majority of Americans it seems.....

65 % voted he got just over half of the popular vote...or something like that...not the comprehensive landslide he would like his base to think. The 30% that didn't vote may well not be too happy with all his crap.

PollyPaintsFlowers · 06/02/2025 12:38

I don't support Trump's plans but I don't know of any other solution, or if there is one in the present climate. Who is going to invest in rebuilding Gaza when Hamas have sworn to repeat their actions that started this war that will just start future wars and more death and destruction?

Israel isn't going anywhere so what are Palestinians going to do? I've seen the videos of people, including women so it's not just Hamas, who say they're going to keep on fighting and killing Jews. I'm sure there's posters on here who'd love for Israel to just sit on their hands and take it, but that's not going to happen either. So what are the Palestinians going to do to build themselves a prosperous and peaceful future?

PollyPaintsFlowers · 06/02/2025 12:39

I say Jews because that's what they say in their videos. They don't refer to Israelis, they say the Jews

Ilovemytulips · 06/02/2025 12:48

Who is going to invest in Gaza? Many Arab countries have said they will on the condition of there being a two state solution. On the condition of there being a Palestinian state.

Don't you think that would be a better option? The condition will also likely be that Hamas is gone and the PA take over which is in line with the previous US administration.

They aren't going to want to foot the bill caused by Israeli bombs if there isn't a lasting solution and for any reconstruction to just be bombed again.

I genuinely weep for society with thinking like that. The innocent people on either side share no responsibility for the crazy ones. Murdering women & children by bombing or denial of aid is barbaric. Any attempt to justify that says a hell of a lot about you.

A two state solution would be ideal. I still have hope that's not just a pipe dream after October 7th. Al Jazeera have reported that Shiri Bibas and her two small children are dead, of course Hamas are blaming Israel as if the hostages just walked themselves into Gaza. If that's true I'm not sure what the public mood in Israel or its government will be

No one is going to invest without long term peace, which is why Hamas have to go and Palestinians have to accept the existence of Israel and not start any more wars

And that was wrong and shouldn't have happened. Your article also shows some pretty violent behaviour from Palestinians aswell btw

I will be very very upset if this Is true. I am with you that Hamas can't continue to rule Gaza.

I will add that I think both Palestinians and Israelis have to accept each other or even just tolerate each other. It can't just be one sided
