It's like a parallel universe - how did America come to this? So now he plans to ethnically cleanse Gaza we are told - to create the 'Riviera of the Middle East.' A golf course and hotels probably. The £2 million people can just go wherever. Wtf! AIBU to think America is imploding in on itself?

How many of those prisoners are mass murderers and terrorists?

Anyway, you seem unaware of the existence of the Bibas children. You know, the 9 month old and his 4 year old brother? That they thought fit to take hostage and then also sell on to other terrorists?

Please don't try and defend or talk up Hamas. They are terrorists - it's not a great look defending terrorists.

I don't know @Humdingerydoo? How many of them are mass murderers and terrorists? How does releasing all these murderers and terrorists help Israel?Confused

I agree. Last night I was listening to a podcast where they were analysing his announcements and trying to decide what his plan is. He hasn’t got a plan, he’s just spouting incoherent crap and lapping up all the attention. It’s not like US voters were not warned, did none of them ever watch one of his ‘speeches’ last time or during the election campaign? How are so many people so fucking gullible?

Yep. Trump is the American Boris Johnson. He's going to wreck the USA with his ego.

Obviously it doesn't except for the fact it gets them the hostages back.

Mrsbloggz · 06/02/2025 00:22

Someone like Trump will never be able to share power or limelight, he wants to be the only one at the top and he'll be aiming to knock musk off of his 'richest man' perch.

I agree 💯% that Netanyahu has been and continues to be disastrous for Israel.

But my primary question was how many terrorists and mass murderers has he released? And how many of the released Palestinians are not terrorists?

Have you tried looking up the list yourself and finding out what the various prisoners have done to be sent to prison? Might be a good starting point for you.

I'm not sure I mentioned Netanyahu in the post you are replying to so I'm unclear what you're pretending to agree with me on there. An incredibly odd response from you to be honest.

Trump is worse. "Boris Johnson" and his bumbling was a very intelligent and calculated act. Imo the UK was wrecked a good few years before him.

Trump wants an isolationist USA that 'relies' on nobody. I think he's doing what he can to piss the world off and get what he wants by getting them to cut ties with him so he doesn't have to do the paperwork. The attention is a huge bonus.

While I'm horrified at what he's doing, if he succeeds at isolating the USA, I do think it will be quite interesting to see how it reshapes trade agreements across the world etc.

I cannot for a second figure the guy out. Some things are great ideas, like changing rules on men posing as women in men sports.

I wondered the same last time he was in power that his thinking is, I cannot believe they fell for my schtick and voted me in. Lets see how far I can push these idiots.

You posted this. I thought it was a rhetorical question rather than an actual one @Humdingerydoo. My apologies, I thought you were speaking from a place of knowledge about this. I see now that that is not the case. Thanks

Of course I mentioned Netenyahu because he's the head of the Israeli government and is seemingly working against the best interests of Israel.

tobee · 06/02/2025 05:20

"Israel had always been open about it's end game, no Palestinians at all in Israel. Certainly that's been the stated aim of the right wing government forever, it's not like they have hidden the fact and the state sanctioned murder of West Bank citizens is happening every day now."

Let's not forget what Hamas, the Gazan government's stated aim is. It's not a one sided affair.

Cerial · 06/02/2025 07:46

ARealitycheck · 05/02/2025 22:52

Just started a thread saying the same before I saw this. I'd suggest as israel apparently aligns with the west regarding values, Trump takes all Israelis out and into America and leave Palestine to the Palestinians.

With Israel out … the Middle East can blow each other to bits …. And west won’t care, except maybe Columbia University.

If you thought it was a rhetorical question, why did you go on to demand an answer more than once? That's a bit odd and aggressive, don't you think?

Anyway, if you want to know what vile acts they have committed you're welcome to look them up. I'd suggest not looking it up on social media or Wikipedia though as they really aren't reliable sources. I realise it will be difficult to change your current habits but I have faith you can do it!

You didn't just mention Netanyahu, you did that thing where you pretended I'd said something that I hadn't that you were agreeing with me. It was your attempt at putting words in my mouth. I understand it must be frustrating to be called out on it though as it makes you look rather silly and juvenile.

In that case, you must feel quite incensed at the history and persecution of Jewish people in Yemen also?

Edited

Jews pushed out of everywhere in North Africa and Middle East, Russia (in last 50 yrs) … with Israel existing, governments could push them out and send them to Israel, Jews lost land & property. With no reason other than religion.

Palestinians asked to leave for rebuilding seems quite kind-hearted in comparison.

So what’s the alternative- that they all live on a building site? Are you ok with children living amongst rubble with no sewerage system/running water/shops? What are you wanting to happen to all those people? Maybe moving people out will also break up Hamas who caused all this in the first place - because until Hamas are got rid of the people of Gaza are always going to be under threat..

Ilovemytulips · 06/02/2025 08:27

Well why is there no running water?
What repercussions are there for Israel, for turning Gaza into a demolition site with no running water and no sewerage system?

Ilovemytulips · 06/02/2025 08:31

The Israeli government have already asked the IDF to prepare plans for the Gazans leaving so I don't think it's all just bluff.
Politicians from democratic countries openly discussing plans for ethnic cleansing was not on my 2025 list 🥴

I'm no political expert but I think what he does is:

Propose something completely outrageous, get everybody in a panic then negociate a climbdown. He's a New York real estate developer in origin. We're kind of living in an 1980's Sidney Sheldon novel with him.

Exactly this. He’s selling you a pen worth a quid but he says it’s the best pen ever it’s brilliant and it’s £100. a couple of days later he says go on then £50 and you think you’ve a bargain, but you’ve paid £50 a pen that should be a £1.

he also sprinkles in a couple of things rooted in truth or that don’t sound unreasonable so Gaza to live in is awful poor people living there they need to move out whilst we get rid of all the bombs and rebuild it.

I do though find his speech pattern really childish and odd, the bits that aren’t scripted. Perhaps that’s why people like well a lot of them love him as he uses quite basic language, similar to what they’d use themselves?

How do refugees move out of anywhere? Maybe the women and children move out (a bit like Ukraine) and surrounding countries house them (a bit like Ukraine) and the men stay to rebuild under UN supervision

How are you going to look after people within the rubble? What you you going to do to take care of children whilst the area is rebuilt? What are you going to do to stop Hamas building back up to carry out further atrocities?

The Israel areas invaded on 7 October … the people needed to leave …. The ones that weren’t dead. Their homes destroyed …

Hamas terrorist lead Palestinians … they started a war and found out what happens.

No, they're preparing to help those in Gaza who want to leave, to leave. Assuming there is somewhere willing to take them in. Stop unnecessarily scaremongering. Trump's suggestion was scary and unhinged enough as it is - there's no need to scare people even more by lying about what's actually happening

Palestinians can only leave if Israel let them - they are basically in a prison. As none of the surrounding countries will take them, there is no where for them to leave to.
Hamas are hardly going to welcome the Americans in to rebuild - they’ll bomb them.
