I think the typical MNs is older than the media image if that makes sense so they are 55/60 as opposed to a 35 old with small dc.

Middle aged, blond or red hair in a sort not bothered bob, tired, kind face, likes her food, do not care much what she wears as long as she's comfy, lives 2 streets away from most of her family, grown up children, married to her childhood sweetheart, works at Morrisons, lives in the Midlands, the North or Scotland.

That’s what I don’t get about these threads, some posters are so sneery, yet they’re here too!

40 years old slim, with 2 children.
Blond hair in a bob. Usually wears jeans and an expensive jumper with flat shoes.
Lives in the south and owns an expensive town house which is very old.
The house is full of old furniture, most of it passed down from her parents or in-laws.
Either earns a good salary or is a sham and her dh earns a good salary.
Her dh spends a lot of time doing his hobby which makes her resentful.

There are three types:

a) A curly grey-haired woman with glasses, around 55, cigarette on the go and a whisky in a crystal tumbler. Has a razor sharp intelligence and a wicked sense of humour. Wears well-cut trousers and an oversized shirt. Has a least one dog, probably two. Would answer the door to strangers if she could be bothered, but she isn't.

b) Younger, swishy-haired blonde- around mid 30s. Successful in work and life, makes her own yoghurt, has gleaming surfaces throughout the house and wouldn't entertain the idea of a dog. May own a pedigree white-haired cat. Drives a Range Rover something-or-other OR a Mercedes. Whatever it is it'll likely be white, to match the cat. Will always answer the door.

c) A Man. Will be wearing a khaki jumper under a tweedy jacket with leather elbow patches. Will either ride a bicycle or play golf, possibly both. (not necessarily at the same time)

(Of course, then there's me, who is none of these things. I fondly imagine I am One Of A Kind, but am clearly delusional)

I, on the other hand, have wavy auburn hair in a bob because too long and it looks like a nest, home highlighted, chubby cheeks, fat thighs and arms and am a 14-16, my brows never get done and I dress in skinny jeans and baggy jumpers!
