To think bums should be covered in a public pool?

I may be being unreasonable and I’m just old and out of touch… took my kids swimming today at our local public pool and there was a lady wearing one of those swimming costumes that is basically a thong at the back? I saw lots of them in the beach during the summer which I kind of understand as it helps you get a very high cut tan/eliminates tan lines but I felt a bit weird seeing one in an indoor pool? Not sure where boundaries lie…? Happy to be told IABU but wondered what others think?

Tough tits, my bum stays firmly on display. (Although not the tough tits. And the bum is not so firm these days).

It's a fair question. I rather like that look and I don't feel uncomfortable in the way that others seem to, I don't think there's much more to it than that.

I completely agree, OP. I hate it when people wear thong swimwear. I don't want my man looking at lots of other women's naked bums. When I was young and slim, it would never have occurred to me to wear such a thing in public, and I don't know how they're not cringing with embarrassment at having their entire bare bottoms on display. I think they look completely tarty and lower-class.

At what age does one stop firmly putting their bum on display?

In my case seemed to be around 40.

I saw a young girl wearing thong bikini bottoms at a holiday resort, she was also wearing a backpack which covered the top of the thong, so looked completely naked from the waist down.

I would really rather not see bare arses at the swimming pool. I would also rather not see men in speedos, if it was up to me everyone male and female would wear swim shorts with all their bits fully covered but I realise I'm in the minority!
