AIBU to ask what your Wordl started word is?

Just that! I had such a great run and now I seem to have hit a wall. Do you use the same one every time? Do you ever use pen and paper alongside? It's cheeky I know I'm being unreasonable I'm also just curious!

A different starter word every day, but I tend to go vowel heavy.

I get too bored with using the same word all the time, instead I try to start with a word that means something to me on that particular day or comes to mind, and then work from there. Making things more difficult than they need to be 😂

I used STARE since I started 3 years ago, but that came up a couple of weeks ago, so I’ve switched to ASTER.
If I get all blanks on that I usually go for MOUND as my second word.

Not having one of each of the letters rules out many common sequences such as starting TH, CH, SH, TR and endings such as LT, TH, GHT, ER etc.

ADIEU then SNORT to cover the missing vowel and use some of the more common consonants.

I used to start with HEART but that came up. Then I switched to SHARE but that came up as well.
Now using PLEAT, if that doesn't get me any letters I try SOUND. If it does give me something I try something with other popular letters. E.G I had the P the other day but in the wrong place. Tried it with an I, S and R and got CRISP on the second go.
Current streak is 70 having lost my 301 day streak a few months ago!

@Solmum1964 Funny thing, I had a streak of 301 and it literally disappeared overnight. I had absolutely nothing, no record of anything.Contacted NY times as I had registered, and they couldn’t trace it. Had to start again from scratch. Is there a limit I wonder.

First word COAST and then unless that delivers very well I use LINER. Mostly I work from those but if they really deliver poorly I go for BUMPY.

I've always started with IDEAL. Then it's usually SMART or SOUTH, depending on what I learn. If I don't have a clear idea by the third word, I'll break out pencil and paper to help.

I use random words with no logic & play on hard so have to use whatever letters are yellow/green on the next go & green has to be in the same position. Current average over 221 games is 3.7. I never want to get it in one or two cos that's just dumb luck & feels like a wasted game. 3 is great, 4 is OK.

I've appalling luck, though, according to the bot lol

AROSE. If that gets no letters, then GUILT, though Wordlebot suggests UNITY as a second guess if there's no letters from the first.

I have the NYT app (£2 a month) and it gives you access to the Wordle bot. These are today most used words.

Crane. Every time.

Squib then crazy. Occasionally I use a different one but those are the usual two.
