Do you have a pudding every night?

Exactly my question. I'm so used to having a pudding, no matter how small, every night. If we don't have one it feels like the meal is not complete.
As I'm overweight it needs to stop. Need to save some money too. I have a wardrobe full of nice clothes that don't fit.
If you do have a pudding & still keep the calories down what do you have? Fruit salad is the obvious choice, but you get fed up of it after a while.

I’m impressed and quite envious at people’s willpower and self control.

We did every night when the kids were young. Pudding was anything sweet that rounded out the main meal. Fruit, yoghurt, jelly pot, milk and a biscuit, piece of cake, ice cream. Now they’re older we rarely have pudding, I can’t actually remember the last time, possibly a mince pie last month…

teacake best direct from the freezer.

I tried it and 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

I felt quite bereft at the missing pillowy cloudness of the marshmallow. And the freezer really killed the flavour for me too!

So it's a no from me. But thanks for the suggestion - I find it's always good to challenge an old favourite! 😊 Glad I tried it!

I hate sweet food after a meal - even a set course meal in a restaurant I'll give away my desert. This doesn't mean I don't snack though, but it's got to be savoury for me.

No, we only have pudding on Sundays. Occasionally I'll have a few squares of chocolate of an evening, or (when I'm feeling particuarly indulgent) a hot cross bun with a cup of tea.

But not pudding every day.

Sweet tooth here hence my username but try not to overindulge. Most days a square of 80% dark choc, occasionally Greek yoghurt, honey and peanut butter mixed together (don’t knock it till you’ve tried it), every other weekend a Gu dessert or similar.

"If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!"

Never have pudding at home, except rarely in late summer if I make a blackberry crumble. Very occasionally in a restaurant. I’m slim and try to eat pretty healthily.

I chew gum, suck on lozenge or hard candy; put berries in 0% Greek yogurt; fruit.

TwinklyNight · 27/01/2025 04:55

No. But my dh has something sweet with his morning coffee.

jeaux90 · 27/01/2025 06:57

No, special occasions only. I don't want to end up with diabetes.

PosiePerkinPootleFlump · 27/01/2025 07:02

No. I used to as a child and found it really really hard to break the habit, but forced myself to do it.
