The judge has done a great job.

Apparently the judge said a lack of remorse is not an aggravating factor in sentencing. Why on earth isn't it?

Well, think about it, if he'd said I'm sooo sorry, should he have got a lighter sentence? Because that would be the flip side of that.
He should get the maximum tariff allowable for the crime committed.

murasaki · 23/01/2025 16:26

I think he's done consecutive sentences rather than to be served at the same time, which often doesn't happen. Well done Judge. Let's hope it's watertight for the inevitable appeal.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 23/01/2025 16:26

Wow - that's actually a decent length of time

The presence of remorse is mitigating but the absence of remorse isn’t aggravating. So someone overcome with remorse and regret will have that factored into their sentence, otherwise the normal starting points apply

HashtagShitShop · 23/01/2025 16:26

Life with the best part of 52 years before he can apply for parole. Good! Unlikely he'll ever get out. Sadly we now have to pay for it ☹️

EasternStandard · 23/01/2025 16:26

I appreciate the judge. He did a great job

The judge has done a great job.

No doubt he’ll get a lot of shit thrown his way, but given you can’t give a WLO to an under 18 his hands were tied. With any luck the parole board won’t authorise his release in 51 years.

I’ve been the same today. Being a mum to 2 beautiful girls genuinely terrifies me knowing people like him are walking among us

My DD is 18 now but I can't help remember that when she was the same age as these little girls she would go to dance clubs with her friends and choir. They're so daft and sweet at that age, I actually miss my DD being that little.

My heart actually breaks for them all.

blobby10 · 23/01/2025 16:28

If its true that fellow inmates often dish out their own justice I hope this monster's time in prison is hard and lonely

IVFmumoftwo · 23/01/2025 16:14

Wasn't the child Moroccan from what I read?

122 times. WTF. Poor child.

Edited

I think she's referring to the Southport killer being obsessed with white genocide. So nothing to do with the Moroccan child in Germany.

Spudstogo · 23/01/2025 15:46

All the posters praying he will come to harm in jail.
Hie wpuld get compensation and be able to sue the prison service, which would come out of your taxes.
This is why high profile prisoners never come into contact with others.

Can’t stop other prisoners from attacking other prisoners if they truly want to.
I honestly don’t feel the slightest bit terrible when I hear of child killers getting shanked or attacked.

Willyoujustbequiet · 23/01/2025 16:29

User8646382 · 23/01/2025 16:10

I think he targeted those little girls for the same reason the asylum seeker in Germany killed a 2 year old earlier this week - because it’s the most heinous crime imaginable. He apparently stabbed one of the children 122 times. I don’t think it had anything to do with violence towards women and girls. It was about committing an act so depraved that it would send a message about the depths to which he, and others like him, are willing to sink. Why else target children?

Apparently he was obsessed with ‘white genocide’:

Of course it's about male violence against women and girls.

A male killer slaughtered 3 female children. It's the very definition of male violence against us.

RitaFromTheRanch · 23/01/2025 16:29

What a brilliant judge. Thank god for people like him.

Theremedy · 23/01/2025 16:29

With the concurrent sentences, I’m wondering what the purpose of that is? If he is serving 52 years for the key offence of murdering 3 children, what difference does the 18 years for attempted murder of the adults? As it doesn’t actually make a difference to the time spent in jail?

Is it the act of justice for the victims, a formality or does it make a difference when determining his incarceration circumstances?

I don't care. I'm more than happy to pay for this out of my taxes!!!

He won't be in there very long before he start walking in a funny way....

placemats · 23/01/2025 16:32

52 years in prison and will hopefully never be released. Good sentencing given the circumstances.

May all those suffering in grief and recovery get the help they deserve and need.

x2boys · 23/01/2025 16:20

It's not as simple as that you can enforce ,psychiatric medication under a section but treatment for physical health can only be enforced aa a one off there maybe other ways around it I'm not sure.

I don't know but I can't image they will allow him to starve himself to death.

Sometimes other prisoners mete out their own brand of justice. Child killers are especially despised in prisons.

Spudstogo · 23/01/2025 16:33

@TinklySnail did you miss the bit where i said if he was attacked in prison he would be given compensation paid out of tax payer money.
He will be totally segregated at all times for this and many other reasons.

McSteamyorMcdreamy · 23/01/2025 16:33

Hats off to the judge. Whilst there will never be enough justice for what he did to those little girls, at least this is a start.

Good luck buddy, and I mean that in the most sarcastic sense ever you evil piece of scum.

He will wholly deserve any violence that comes his way.
