He will have Been assessed to establish wether he has a mental illness or not.

Presumably we will find out whether he has been examined for this at some stage, perhaps when it's the defence's turn.

Pilgrimgirl · 23/01/2025 15:26

@x2boys If you are referring to the little girl who was murdered by the woman sat on the park bench, then it was absolutely horrific. I knew her mother in a professional capacity and can't begin to imagine how devastated both her and the little girls father must be. This Southport killer is a monster, I don't care how old he was, he should go to prison for the rest of his life.

The BBC reporter said there's no psych report on him.

This. Next up, I want to see an investigation into this family and what they knew. If they failed to report his violent intent, they can be next in the dock to be answerable (or better still, on a one-way flight back to Rwanda).

I find it highly unlikely, to say the least, that the occupants of a small (3 bedroom?) house would be unaware that someone among them was hoarding weapons and making ricin.

The parents knew, obviously.

Aposterhasnoname · 23/01/2025 15:28

He’ll feel a hell of a lot sicker when they get their hands on him
in jail.

TizerorFizz · 23/01/2025 15:29

@x2boys No, that’s wrong. Assessment of something this complex takes a long time. I heard a discussion on this earlier today. They do assess if they are fit to stand trial but the judge initially had to enter a plea. The defendant either could not do it or would not do it. They don’t know. That’s rare though. They don’t have a full picture of his childhood or anything in detail that has affected his mental stability. They have his history but no explanation as to why. The expert thought he would now go to secure mental hospital for greater assessment - in depth. This can take years and he will be separated from others.

oakleaffy · 23/01/2025 15:30

Revolting , repellent man. The things he said the attack are not able to be repeated here, but are googleable. {Telegraph}. He knows he's going to get a hard time in jail, most likely.

Equally, they could have been living in fear of him and for him knowing that he was uncommunicative. The police accompanied teachers to the house. There were referrals to CAMHS and YOT. We have not heard that the parents were neglectful in any way. Or knowledgable of what he was planning to do. And we do not know that the father did not raise the week's previous attempt to return to school with authorities.

That's probably why he's saying he's ill. He didn't care about the sweet innocent lives he ended, but is scared for his own sorry ass.

coxesorangepippin · 23/01/2025 15:34

30 years in strange ways will sort him

AInightingale · 23/01/2025 15:35

Wish they'd leave him in a cell overnight with twelve feet of rope. A cell with a hook on the wall. And a diagram. Honestly it would all be for the best.

coxesorangepippin · 23/01/2025 15:35

Given that he may have originally intended to carry out the attack in his old mixed sex school, I'm not sure this was necessarily anti-female.

^

Hmm. He killed 3 girls

I'm sure it was anti female

The lack of empathy for a child who is obviously mentally disturbed is awful but alot of you were in threads feeling sorry for that baby killer Lucy Letby. Interesting.

I think he should get the same sentence as the guys that murdered James Bulger. With intense therapy.

It's a sad case but murders happen all the time, my focus is on all families who have lost their children

I have fuck all empathy for anyone that evil. It’s disgusting you are using the murder of young children to go on a racism rant. I’d like to see how much empathy you had for him if he had slaughtered your child.

He should be locked up for life. There’s no punishment that is enough for this disgusting human.

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 23/01/2025 15:37

Nothing trivial, I hope...

sprigatito · 23/01/2025 12:23

What did he say?

Here:

I can't bear to write it.

The coward has also been yelling for a ''paramedic'' and asking for ''support'' from the Judge.

Agreed. A friend has a schizophrenic relative, his room was full of knives and they were too wary of even talking to him for fear of saying the wrong thing, let alone going into his room.

This defense is never given for the white WC Mums/GFs of lesser criminals, those that have drugs etc in their house.

He won't get a whole life tariff due to his age at the time but given the number of charges, and the very late plea change, it should be a very long time.

I wish the judge could add on more for his behaviour today, so disrespectful to the families, but suspect he can't.

But why can't he, what is wrong with our legal system. That fact that the monster is still allowed to breath and will likely be let out again one day just shows how our justice system does not protect its citizens.

Pilgrimgirl · 23/01/2025 15:46

It's interesting how he picked on a meeting attended by little girls and run by young women to carry out his evil attack. I wonder why he didn't choose a meeting held by the local rugby club or bikers (of which there are many in Southport). Coward.

Spudstogo · 23/01/2025 15:46

All the posters praying he will come to harm in jail.
Hie wpuld get compensation and be able to sue the prison service, which would come out of your taxes.
This is why high profile prisoners never come into contact with others.

Why is it interesting?
He was actually seen killing the kids. There are witnesses.
I don’t know if Letby did it or not but most of the evidence was circumstantial and experts disagreed. She got a whole life tariff regardless.
Prisoners can reform, look at Robert Thompson. Unfortunately some don’t and just keep making a mockery of the system. Venables is another POS psycho that needs to die in prison.

”Cushy” describes an environment I would like to spend time in.

Nothing about that sounded like I would want to be there.

I don’t know. TV, entertainment, comfortable bed, food, little luxuries. Sounds ok to me, could be describing most people’s homes. Definitely too good for the likes of Ian Huntley.

AllesAusLiebe · 23/01/2025 15:48

JHound · 23/01/2025 14:58

Failure to report somebody else’s violent intent not a crime. Failure to report an actual crime witnesses is not a crime.

It’s why witnesses to a crime aren’t punished for not reporting what they have seen.

Writing silly things on Facebook and propagating 'misinformation' wasn't a crime this time last year, but here we are. Anything is possible.
