To be annoyed at the lack of bathrooms

I have my period. I can feel that i need to change my tampon.

I'm out walking round my city. There are no public bathrooms anywhere near me.

I see a sign for a bathroom in a small shopping centre near me. I walk in. The bathroom is actually in a shop. I'm told that the bathroom is only available for paying customers.

So now I have to get in a long queue and wait further and buy something while I really need to change my tampon.

Surely there should be better toilet services available.

I think periods and bullying are the OP’s special interests.

It’s all a bit academic really as period changing rooms are never ever going to happen. If the councils can't provide enough public toilets they're certainly not going to provide those.

Is there anywhere in the world that does actually provide them?

Wish I’d RTFT before voting YANBU.

OP’s responses are batshit.

"So why do many pubs and shops have signs saying "bathrooms here"."

To quote OP.

Either way , its pretty obvious OP has never had a period

You're right. I missed that.

In all my travels around the UK I have never ever seen a toilet signposted as a 'bathroom'.

They don't use the word 'here' either!

Signs in pubs, cafes, shops, garden centre, cinemas, museums, etc etc invariably say TOILETS.
