I think you will be very embarrassed when you wake up tomorrow morning, log onto Mumsnet, click on 'my threads' and see this load of twaddle.

My advice would be a pint of water now, a pint of water on your bedside table, and sleep. And don't drunk post on Mumsnet or any other social media.

I think you mean numsbet

wildhay · 19/01/2025 19:15

Hahaha this thread is too funny

Why would she be embarrassed, noone knows her??

Grammarnut · 19/01/2025 19:18

Fried eggs, bacon, tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms and blackpudding. Tomato juice with tabasco and worcester sauce. Works wonders. Follow with black coffee.
That's tomorrow. Tonight, lots of water.

Boring silly old people I mean tomorrow I’ll be sling school run and back in work x

Are you more pleasant when you're sober?

Was logging into Mumsnet, name changing and starting a thread really easier than Googling 'how to sober up'?

See, the thing about being blootered is you don't tend to think too logically...

It's quite embarrassing to throw insults atound on MN while pretending to be drunk.

MummaTB · 19/01/2025 19:22

What is the going rate for caring for a 6 year old in their own home for 2 nights & 2 days?

Thanks all ☺️

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm · 19/01/2025 19:24

OP this thread is hilarious. (Please ignore all the grumps, they’re just jealous they weren’t invited anywhere today)

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm · 19/01/2025 19:24

@Hellskitchen24 gordan Ramsey

What did Gordon Ramsey do to get mixed up in this 😂

idontthinksomate · 19/01/2025 19:26

Moon bag is fucking brilliant.

I doubt this thread on an anonymous forum will be the worst of ops worries tomorrow, I think the horrors will come when she thinks about what she did and said at the baby shower 🤦‍♀️🤣

viques · 19/01/2025 19:27

Drink water, go to bed take bucket or large bowl to throw up in.

NoNoNona · 19/01/2025 19:28

How about "Grow Up!?
You are over 30, get some common sense?

HeffalumpsAndWoozlesAreHoneyRobbingTwats · 19/01/2025 19:30

Righto. If you’re serious, drink a load of water, grab a bucket and another glass of water, and go to bed.

Globusmedia · 19/01/2025 19:31

AquaPeer · 19/01/2025 18:43

Blimey calm down. millions of people who do this. Alka seltzer xs contains paracetamol and it was always advised to take a sachet before bed and one when you wake up. A pharmaceutical formula specifically designed to deal with the effects of alcohol 😂

In medical training you're taught that mixing paracetamol with alcohol is one of the biggest risk factors for liver damage.

Half a bottle of Prosecco and a chicken burger I think.

I doubt it unless the paracetemol exceeds the recommended daily dose and the alcohol intake is huge.

But anyway, since I don't have a pack of paracetemol handy, does it say on the box to avoid alcohol when taking them?

Eh not really, but then I have a sense of humour and don't get pissed off over silly things, try it ❤️

KrankyKumquat · 19/01/2025 19:42

Shhhh...I think she might have nodded off.

VonHally · 19/01/2025 19:43

HeffalumpsAndWoozlesAreHoneyRobbingTwats · 19/01/2025 19:40

Yes.

Should have told the NHS !

Can I drink alcohol while taking paracetamol?
Drinking a small amount of alcohol while taking paracetamol is usually safe. Try to keep to the recommended guidelines of no more than 14 units of alcohol a week. A standard glass of wine (175ml) is 2 units. A pint of lager or beer is usually 2 to 3 units of alcohol.
It may not be safe for you to drink alcohol with paracetamol if you have certain health conditions, such as liver problems. Check the leaflet in your medicine packet to find out whether it's safe to drink alcohol when taking paracetamol.

Why 30, must have missed the memo, so it's okay to get locked and do silly things at 29 but then 30 comes and that's it🤣

God, OP is going to be mortified in the morning 😂
