To be looking forward to watching Trumps inauguration on Monday

I'm quite looking forward to this. And wondered if anyone else was. I don't expect so but thought I would ask anyway!

The USA is one giant shitshow at the moment. I'm not sure it even matters who the president is.

He's a power hungry maniac and surrounded himself by nasty, mostly educated right wingers. I always watch the inaugurations. I'm surprised they're not indoors more often, the weather always looks bitter in Washington.

Indoors? Does that mean he won't have to lie about the hugely tremendous most bigly happy crowd ever like last time? I suppose he will though. Its expected after all.

I’ve always been a fan of the muppet show so it might be quite entertaining.

I'm looking forward to it, I love a state occasion. Mostly though I'm looking forward to seeing how the Republican Party and America's checks and balances hold up in the coming 4 years.

'Idiocracy' is currently on Disney+ and well worth a watch for the more cynical.

The economy was actually good under Trump until COVID came. US Unemployment was at an all time low.

Brexit Britain is bad enough, but to vote that ridiculous, pathetic individual in, not once, but twice - it's beyond belief. Sadly America is now the laughing stock of the world. @ilovesooty I don't know what mnhq can do it's just painful, see how political this thread has got merely because someone dared to say they will watch the inauguration. I think everyone should watch it because it's a historical moment.

Unfortunately some people can't see things normally they walk around with particular specs on and see absolutely everything in that particular way and it could be politics or anything that can attract extreme thoughts.

But this isn't a political forum, it's a general chat forum that will attract current affairs and comments which is fine but to have a left wing group who want to educate us all set up on here flooding any thread that is remotely political is tiresome and in appropriate.
