Just that really!! Inspired by thinking if I could afford to move abroad. I suppose age helps as well as you’d expect to be worth more the older you are!!

Only the rich people respond.

I’m not rich. My only asset is half a house so that money is only ever going to go straight back in to another property when it eventually sells.

WellsAndThistles · 17/01/2025 21:51

Not totally sure how much my pensions are worth but probably around £250K.

lissie123 · 17/01/2025 21:51

£1m personal assets and £100k business assets

41 - around 200k. I guess by "everything" you mean property and such, not my collection of sponge bob socks and an odd vibrator.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 well you never know someone out there might have a kink for pre-loved spongebob socks and vibrators

frogpigdonkey · 17/01/2025 21:52

600k plus about the same in pensions. But I have great insurance which means I'm worth more dead than alive!

vodkaredbullgirl · 17/01/2025 21:53

Miss wtf are you on about 😃

JBJ · 17/01/2025 21:53

I'm 46. About £450k if I sold property. About 36p if I didn't 🤣

WellsAndThistles · 17/01/2025 21:53

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 17/01/2025 21:46

Why are you all so stinking rich!?

Comparison is definitely the thief of joy on this thread!

I'm not, just been working full time for the last 30 years, own one property, one car and have a pension pot.

Probably in the MN poverty bracket!

Yeah, I may be able to raise my net worth to a trillion!

thaegumathteth · 17/01/2025 21:55

Probably about 500k but that would be split with dh

BobbyBiscuits · 17/01/2025 21:55

I don't really own anything except clothes and an old couch. And a phone. Some old kitchen equipment... So pretty much zero. Maybe £200?!
The food in my fridge and cupboards might be the most lucrative thing to sell?
I don't think anyone would buy my shit. Lol 🤣

thaegumathteth · 17/01/2025 21:56

Oh I'm 43

That's amazing. Well done

ChangingHistory · 17/01/2025 21:58

It would be interesting to see this distribution for the UK, and whether its gone up or down in recent years.

A more interesting question for here might have been how much you think your net worth should be at your age. And whether you're there.

For us (couple 49/50) it's £600-700k for house value and savings /investments. I guess cars would add another £20kish, I don't think we really have anything else of value.

We have final salary pensions that will pay 40k a year from 60/65, I think the cash value of that would be pretty high but its not something we can access or pass on.

NoisyBear · 17/01/2025 21:58

I cashed in my bottle and can collection today got €6.40. That was it, that's everything I've got.

(Where I live you pay a deposit on your bottles and cans and get the deposit back when you return them for recycling) .

Sockmate123 · 17/01/2025 21:58

By the time we paid remaining mortgage etc probably about 300k I'm 43
