Kardasians selling nipples

Aibu in thinking this is gross. You don't need a bra to produce fake nipples. For what, so men look at you?

@squirrelnutcartel Why do so many women think we exist to pander to men? Why is it our burden to not "sexualise ourselves" or "encourage men to think of us as fuck toys?"
I don’t wear a bra at all. Unless I’m exercising and need a sports bra I don’t see the benefits of a tight chest constricting garment that interferes with natural respiration.
The effect is probably the same as wearing this bra, so technically are you saying all women should be forced to wear regular bras? Women can wear bras, not wear bras, have evident nipples or not have evident nipples. What does it have to do with you or anyone else? It’s actually people like you who over sexualise women. Nipples are not the problem, stop blaming women.

kalokagathos · 16/01/2025 13:14

This was a topic in some episode of Sex in the City. Samantha wore it,I think 😀

Because if you're purposely sexualising yourself it's to have sex - and unless you're a lesbian that involves men.
I often can't be assed to wear a bra either. It is nowhere near the same thing as having fake nipples purposely stuck onto your bra. I'm sorry if you can't see the difference.

ThoroughlyModernNotMillie · 16/01/2025 13:42

Looking at the pictures on the skims website of the models wearing t shirts over this bra, there's no way this bra was designed for anyone else other than women who deliberately want men( or lesbians) to look right at their tits and view them solely as someone up for sex with anyone who wants it.

Riapia · 16/01/2025 13:42

FutureFry · 16/01/2025 00:34

Meh, fashion is weird and I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

I think it's trashy, would never wear it, and would hate if DD wore something like this.

Those are almost exactly the words my DM used about the mini skirt.
I still wore one.
You’ll have fake nipples prodding you in the back as you walk through M&S before long FutureFry. They are the next big thing.
😉😁😁.

Characterbuilding · 16/01/2025 13:46

@Lyn348
The point originally made was that this bra encourages sexual assault, groping etc.. the existence of nipples, real or fake does not justify this. I don't wear a bra, you sometimes don't wear a bra, if you were assaulted would that be more "understandable" because predatory men and judgemental women believed you wanted to attract sex merely because your nipples were visible through clothing? No.
Men who assault don't care, burka, bikini, nappy it doesn't matter to the wide variety of sexual predators that exist. Blaming victims takes responsibility away from perpetrators. If you don't like the bra fine but don't conflate that with asking for assault or looking for sex.

This is gross and whats the point.

Attract a man. Go to bed. He takes of your bra. "Oh".

You'll feel so good about yourself.

Samantha showed us how to do it on sex and the City

While he's distracted, you discreetly remove the bra

Amybelle88 · 16/01/2025 09:35

@MinnieCauldwell trust me, I've spoken to women who wear them.

As someone who has had mastectomy where does the prosthesis go?

Amybelle88 · 16/01/2025 14:00

@MinnieCauldwell I have no idea, I haven't had one. I'm just repeating what some women who have had a mastectomy have told me, if you read my previous posts you'd see where/why it was said to me.

SunshineSky81 · 16/01/2025 14:11

Show the Nipple or don't show the Nipple. The thing that annoys me more is that women just as they are , are never enough... Oh you already have nipples.. well they are not the right kind of firm, plastic perfectly placed nipples so they are less than these.
Honestly, how have we got to a point where we can convince women that nipples need to be monetized, and this family is the worst for it.

Yes if you’re going to show nipples then please can they at least be real? Are people already paying good money for “nipple lifts” in turkey etc because theirs point down a bit, aren’t big enough (obviously I don’t include surgical reconstruction). Have we had the first “nipple lift” death?

And whatever the rights and wrongs, I have spent bloody years trying to STOP people (yes, men) talking to my tits instead of my face, I can’t help see this as a step backwards for my daughter, when I really hoped that things might be better. It’s not empowering to make other women’s lives more difficult in the name of attention seeking.

I agree - it’s up there with anal bleaching. When did the colour of anal skin become important?!! And more to the point, why?

Rollse · 16/01/2025 15:30

Rivett · 16/01/2025 08:07

In that case vaginas aren’t sexual as they are used to birth babies….. oh wait?!…

What a silly comparison

Rollse · 16/01/2025 15:31

MumblesParty · 16/01/2025 12:35

Why are topless pictures seen as erotic if breasts are purely functional?

The same way as a picture of a topless man can be seen as erotic.

Gotthatbigpenergy · 16/01/2025 15:33

This is old news, also a lot of women who have had breast cancer surgery liked these bras.

heroinechic · 16/01/2025 15:37

Some women want to be lusted after by pervy men and want the attention that brings. It's not for me, but it also doesn't impact me. I'm currently pregnant and desperately trying to disguise my nipples so I have the opposite problem 😂

Cunningfungus · 16/01/2025 15:43

Rollse · 16/01/2025 06:53

Nipples aren’t sexual. They are for feeding babies.

True re feeding babies but in western society they are massively sexualised. Apparently Jennifer Anniston wore fake erect nipples which when you watch certain episodes, you can see this is true.

Agree with PPs about this being purely to appeal to the male gaze and give the impression the woman is aroused.

Having worked in a professional setting with women facing/having mastectomies, I’d wager 99% of such women find this sort of thing detrimental to their mental wellbeing - that a woman is not attractive unless she has two nippled breasts.

It’s not more ‘silly’ than suggesting nipples aren’t also sexualised….

SunshineSky81 · 16/01/2025 16:27

Oh come on Now. Of course Nipples are Sexual. Yes, their primary Function is for feeding Babies, but they are also sensitive to sexual and erotic pleasure. Men view them more for their own Sexual pleasure than for Function.

Your arse is mainly for Sitting on and pooping out of, but show a man a picture of a naked womans arse and im willing to bet those are not the first thoughts that he thinks of.

I didn’t say that they aren’t, I said they aren’t (inherently) sexual.

Either way, they are used in both situations

namechangeGOT · 16/01/2025 17:21

Well my nipples are very much sexualised and thank god they are.

I'm not blaming women, I'm being realistic. I wouldn't go off into town and leave my front door unlocked, I wouldn't walk in the dark to a dodgy area of town. Women aren't responsible for how men behave, but laying it all out on a plate isn't going to help the situation. It also drags all of us down with it. We need to get some self respect and elevate ourselves if we're trying to be taken seriously. We can't have it both ways.

So visible nipples (natural or fake - since the viewer doesn’t know) means men will view a woman solely as someone up for sex with anyone who wants it??

A previous poster was right… some of these comments are the sort of shit incels spout.

Of course you can have it both ways, to an extent.

I have one of these bras… would I wear it to Court while I’m doing a hearing, no. But I also wouldn’t wear a suit in the bedroom with DP either.

The idea that a woman can’t be taken seriously if she looks sexy is so regressive
