It’s been 2 weeks since I had it, all I can see is a line of filler??

To think my under eye filler looks awful?

He did my first ever Botox . Fantastic .

Drinking a lot of water is always the default recommendation on here, however, in this instance it would make little difference to the appearance of the OP. She needs to sort out the filler issue, possibly by having it dissolved, or dealt with by a qualified practitioner.

I know right! Like drinking a lot of water is going to make any difference whatsoever to the structure, volume etc of the face

I don't know anything about it, I just saw the degree certificate on her wall.

@ColourBlueColourPurple It's worth looking closely at the training of anyone doing this. It doesn't take 30 seconds to look at the Man Uni website and the course. It's only available for qualified and experienced doctors or dentists - not a nurse.

I'd assume she has her own website where she lists her training and qualifications or it's on the website of the practice where she is working.

Based on what you've said, it does seem odd.

AlwaysFreezing · 16/01/2025 09:15

Fucking hell. You're getting a hard time here.

I can see the line and I wouldn't be happy either. Waiting for your review seems to be all you can do though. Hopefully it will either settle or your practitioner will sort it.

It's shit if you're self conscious about that area, try and do something to sort it and end feeling like it's been made worse. And even shittier when you get piled on on here.

You haven’t even seen my full face 😂. And I’ve been told numerous times by people that I look younger than I am. And no they aren’t being polite.

Honestly this is why middle aged women have such a horrible bitter reputation towards any woman younger than them. Any opportunity to bring someone down they leap at it. Imagine being also double someone’s age and leaving a comment like that 😂 I could never

I'm with you on not looking 50 or 60, but the OP could easily be over 40. I thought she was about my age (42) from the picture.

Another example of middle age women leaping to the attack.

One thing that everybody will be is middle aged. If one is lucky.

You don't look over 40, pay these people no mind.

You look a good 10-15 years younger than me and I'm 45. Besides which I don't even think you're doing it to look younger, just less tired. Hope you get a result that you're happy with.

Yes you’re right it really does have nothing to do with looking younger, unfortunately my eyes have always looked “tired” due to pigmentation caused by eczema as a child.

Wow. I was on your side, OP, until that, which is really vile and says at least as much about you as the poster you're responding to.

Despite the fact that you seem pretty unpleasant yourself, I'm going to recommend Daniel Ezra. I've never been, but he's an oculoplastic surgeon who did a brilliant job fixing botched tear trough filler for a friend of mine.

Filler won't get rid of pigmentation but you'll know that.

I don't know if you still have eczema but the newer treatments (creams) like tacrolimus do not cause skin damage like the old steroids, but are only prescribed through a dermo.

Yes I wasn’t getting it to help with the pigmentation.

Thank you for the recommendation, I will have a look 😊

Oh no you’re not on my side anymore?! Damn.

If only I knew what my side actually was. I think the filler looks shit. Yes my eye area doesn’t look great, I’ve been aware of that since a young age and got bullied for it.

I was asking whether I was right and if I’m being impatient and need to give it more time. So I guess that’s my side.

You also sounds pretty unpleasant yourself.

On your side in that I have no issues with filler or your age or the fact you're unhappy. I think in your shoes I would be unhappy too. Which is why I've recommended someone who I've seen do a great job of sorting out something very similar.

This is an open forum, full of people who will be toxic at the smallest opportunity, but you've also had plenty of supportive comments and suggestions. Why are you wasting time and energy replying to the unpleasant posters?

Honestly this is why middle aged women have such a horrible bitter reputation towards any woman younger than them. Any opportunity to bring someone down they leap at it.

Do you not see the problem with what you've said here? I hate to bring this up, but if you're in your early 30s, you're not that far off being, what many would consider, a dreaded 'middle aged' woman yourself. Do you think you will automatically deserve that reputation?

You’re boring me now. Clearly my comment touched a nerve with you and you also fall into that category.

OP posts:
mistymorning12 · 16/01/2025 13:12

OP have you had it done before?

As an optometrist, I'm not keen on under eye filler as it seems to have a propensity to block meibomian gland outflow and cause a bit of dry eye.

I suspect though, it's not behaved as as a usual filler would because of the changes to the skins's elasticity and hyperpigmentation caused by the eczema you had.

Wow, aren't you a delight? BTW, there is no way you look younger than your age if you are early thirties. People are just being polite if they tell you that.

They definitely aren’t 😂 but sure I guess you’re there each time it’s said, you know the context it’s been said in and you know all the people that have said it. I do very much look younger than what I am. But I guess you’re right - the person who’s never met me and seen 1/6 of my face and has clearly been hurt by my Middle Aged women comment - but there you go again falling into the stereotype.

It's not good for you to keep replying to posters making nasty comments.

No one can see your face from those shots.

I've mentioned this several times but please do take a look at the website of Dr Tracy Mountford, who established the Cosmetic Skin Clinic in Harley St (and a couple of out of town places too.)

She was considered 'Filler Queen' and she's a former anaesthetist, so a highly qualified doctor before training in facial procedures. She works with a lot of 'slebs' and her own list is closed to new patients as she is so busy.

Look at the images under dermal fillers and you will see before and after photos of women who have had under eye filler. They do not look like yours.

There are also videos where women are 'being filled' and you can see the results immediately afterwards.

Yours is not right.
I'm sorry but it needs dissolving.

Yes. I am lying. Because I have so much to gain posting behind an anonymous account to anonymous people. And you can doubt what you want (you’re far too invested tbh) but I know my truths 😌.

And I just used burberrygoddess as it was the name of the perfume a friend bought me and it was in my eyesight when I was thinking of a name. But I think you were trying to make out I’m a chav and trying to act superior.

Funny thing is you would never post any part of your face. Which says it all.

You’re right.

I have requested this to the clinic. They are saying I’m not allowed to have someone different in the clinic dissolve it and it has to be the same person - doubt it makes any difference?? I just want to make sure I actually get a refund.
